Chapter 162

162 Final Tournament VII

As the bear began rushing towards Nevaeh, she created two purple rods in her hand and dashed towards the bear.

There was first a jestful look on Jeremy’s face, as Nevaeh had repeated this move several times and it was all fruitless.

However, seeing the move she took once she emerged in front of the bear, Jeremy stood upright and his face couldn’t help but light up.

“Dieee!!!!!!”

Nevaeh drove the two rods into the bear’s leg, and a second after the rods penetrated through the bear, another rod appeared in her hands.

Without delay, she attacked the bear with the rods as well. Unlike, her previous attack, this was aimed directly at the hole that was formed in the bear’s chest.

“Roaarrrrr!!!”

There was a tinge of rage and yet pain evident in the bear’s voice as it screamed.

The killing intent which was then excluded from the bear’s body became more condensed and had the garden shaking.

.....

But, despite being in the face of danger there wasn’t the slightest bit of fear on Nevaeh’s face, she glared back into the bloodshot eyes of the bear.

“Why are you still standing there? Go!!!!”

As Nevaeh saw Elisa still staring at her, she couldn’t help but yell.

Elisa took a deep breath, and once she nodded her head, she headed to the cave immediately.

“Roooaaarrrrhhhh!!!!!!”

The bear was alerted very quickly, and when it saw Elisa going into his home, another powerful scream escaped its mouth.

And even though it hated Nevaeh to the core, the bear moved his attention away from her and began dashing towards the cave.

It had maintained close approximate with the cave the whole time, and this was one of the reasons why Elisa and Nevaeh couldn’t enter the cave without defeating it.

However, because of the severe damage, it suffered from Elisa and Nevaeh, the bear lost its reasoning and rushed toward Nevaeh with only one intention.

Which was to end her life.

But, that soon changed, as, seeing, Elisa moving towards the cave, the bear wasted no time and dashed towards her.

“Where do you think you’re off to?!”

The bear had only covered a few grounds when it was suddenly interrupted by Nevaeh.

A smile appeared on her face soon after, as Elisa had already entered into the cave. The smile was soon replaced by an expression that was full of mockery as she stared at the bear.

“Roooooaaaarrrrrr!!!!” The bear let out another scream afterward.

And while Nevaeh didn’t understand the animal’s language, she was still able to notice the change that was in the bear’s voice.

This wasn’t the bear showing how infuriated it was, but this was the bear pleading.

“What do you mean?” Nevaeh asked.

The bear paused for a few seconds before pointing his paws toward the entrance of the cave.

Nevaeh turned towards the cave, and even though she didn’t understand what it was that the bear was implying after another cry rang out from the bear, she understood a bit of it.

“Oh, you mean we shouldn’t steal anything from you.” Nevaeh blurted.

If there was still any doubt, then when the bear nodded its head rapidly at Nevaeh, the doubts were well cleared.

Nevaeh’s mouth opened slightly, she was about to speak when she paused. An idea quickly popped into her, and as she saw Jeremy walking towards the cave majestically, her lips curved inwardly.

“We were thinking of raiding you completely, but, we might decide to change our mind if you’re able to do something for us,” Nevaeh said.

The bear was immediately anxious.

The thought of all its honey, fish, and nuts being stolen caused the hair on its body to become erect, it then stared at Nevaeh with a puppy gaze that was certainly amusing.

A chuckle escaped Nevaeh’s mouth afterward.

“It’s simple, you simply need to kill him once he comes out.”

Nevaeh stated.

There was a bit of concern on the bear’s face after Nevaeh spoke. It seemed to be contemplating on its options and after weighing them, it concluded.

The bear glared at Nevaeh, and a second later, it attacked her.

“Y-”

Seeing how the bear broke the rods that were impeded in its body, Nevaeh’s eyes twitched.

She was however able to get a grip on herself, and when the bear swung its paws at her, she dodged immediately.

Nevaeh moved several steps backward, “If this how you want it, then so shall it be.”

“Not only are we going to take everything you own, but we will also end you.” Nevaeh blurted and with that said, she dashed towards the bear.

While Nevaeh and the bear continued to have a heated exchange of their own, Elisa was exploring through the cave.

The bear’s cave wasn’t exactly enormous, but neither was it small either. Elisa searched through the whole cave, and it was only after a full round search that she found the key.

“Finally!” She exclaimed.

Finding the key was one thing, then placing the key on the table was another.

Elisa would only be declared the winner of the tournament once she had placed the key on the table.

With a smile on her face, Elisa didn’t bother with the other items in the cave, and once she had gotten what she was there for, she headed out of the cave.

“Hehe!”

“I believe you have something of mine, Elisa.”

It was even up to a minute after Elisa began making her way out of the cave when she encountered Jeremy.

Jeremy placed his hands behind his back, and as he saw the key that was wrapped around Elisa’s hand, his lips curved inwardly.

“I will make this easy for you,” Jeremy said. “Hand over the key, and everyone would simply go their separate way.”

“Never!” Elisa responded.

Jeremy raised an eyebrow after she spoke, “Don’t make this more difficult than it already is.”

“I am asking politely because I promised your brother that I won’t hurt you. But, if you keep acting this way, sooner or later, I will break the promise I made.”

Elisa sneered in response to Jeremy.

“Hand over the key, Elisa!!”

“Over my dead body,” Elisa replied, and this time around she assumed a battle stance.

A light frown appeared on Jeremy’s face when he heard Elisa. He heaved a deep breath, and as the frown on his face was replaced with a ruthless expression, he spoke.

“Then, over your bead body, I shall have it.” Jeremy declared.

Elisa immediately knew what was coming, and before it would take form, she nullified any sort of powers that Jeremy might have copied.

Jeremy had already expected the power nullification to occur from Elisa. But, against her, he believed that he was able to defeat her without using them.

Bang!

As they both of launched toward one another, they struck a full-force punch that had them moving a few steps backward.

Elisa was pushed ten steps backward, while Jeremy only went three steps.

The difference in strength was there, and as they unleashed several of the attacks on themselves, it began to become clearer that Elisa was no match for Jeremy.

“Ah~!” Elisa let out a low cry from the blow received by Jeremy.

She had been able to fend off all his attacks, but it was as though, Jeremy was becoming stronger from every exchange that they went.

Earlier, when they fist collided with one another, Elisa was forced to take ten steps backward, while he took two. But the next time both sides collided, Jeremy didn’t move a step from where he was.

“Your power nullification and fighting skills might be considered terrific, but you’re no match for me, Elisa.”

“Since you didn’t realize it the easy way, it will be understood the hard way.” Jeremy blurted.

Jeremy’s eyes flickered with killing intent, he was about to go in for the kill, when an owl suddenly appeared before him.

The owl was none other than Gus who had been watching the whole fight since the beginning, and as it stared at Gus, there were all sorts of expressions on its face.

Jeremy immediately paused, he didn’t understand why, but he felt a threat lingering around him.

A part of his body was telling him that if he were to make any attempt to end Elisa’s life, he was going to be killed before he could even comprehend it.

Taking a few steps backward in front of the owl that was sitting on top of Elisa’s head, he spoke.

“Aren’t you Raphael birdie or whatever?”

.....

“Hahaha!!!! I see what’s going on.” Jeremy exclaimed.

“We will deal with this later, but for now, have her hand over the key. It’s quite pointless! With her potential, getting into the tournament finale would be insulting.”

“Besides, this is a battle that can only be won by men. Left to me, you should be in the kitchen, or doing whatever it is you people do.” Jeremy blurted.

Gus let out a long hiss and then snort after Jeremy spoke.

And if Raphael were here, he would have chuckled for a bit as among all the words that were said by Jeremy, what pained Gus the most was being referred to as birdie.

Gus tapped Elisa on the head gently, and though no words were said, Elisa understood what Gus wanted.

“So, he asked you to follow me because he didn’t think I could win this.” Elisa bit her lower lip.

When Gus heard Elisa, it felt like it was missing something, but as she threw the key over to Jeremy, it was soon put behind.

Jeremy sneered and then turned around.

It took only a few minutes, and he made his way out of the cave.

“Heyy, you won, I’m really impressed,” Jeremy muttered as he saw the bear that was laying on the ground and the severely battered Nevaeh.

Nevaeh’s body shook when she saw Jeremy in front of her, she wanted to speak, but no words left her mouth.

It was more difficult than she thought.

“Well, that was fun, but it’s time to separate the kings from the slaves,” Jeremy said and began talking towards the table.

And as he placed the key on the table, Nevaeh collapsed to the ground.
