225 Tour Around The City

A reverend expression emerged on the faces of the six beasts as they stared at Gus.

There was however a prideful look on Gus’s face, as it found delight in the attention he was receiving from the beasts around.

“You need to follow us to the city, there are a lot of beasts who would want to see you.” Said the half-beast- half-man.

After the beast spoke, Gus slowly turned towards Raphael, staring at him with a look that caused Raphael to roll his eyes.

“Okay, fine… You can go with them.” Raphael said.

Instantly, a smile appeared on Gus’s face. However, upon coming in contact with the beast, the smile vanished immediately.

It was soon replaced with a serious look.

While Gus didn’t say a word, the beasts instantly understood what it applied.

“How about you also come with us, Raphael? There are also a lot of beasts who have heard about you in the academy, and would like to meet the great Raphael Queen.” The half-beast-half man spoke.

As the beast had moved their attention to Gus, Raphael was about to head inside the mansion when he heard the beast.

His mouth opened slightly, he wanted to reject the offer, but thinking about the benefits it would provide for him, he couldn’t help but reconsider.

To Raphael, New age city has been shrouded in mystery. The only detailed information he knew about the city was that it was the training ground of the meta-beasts.

As the students of VA were being tutored in the academy, and then sent out, the meta beasts in New age city were also considered as pupils of the academy.

The academy regarded the scenario in the city as a way to groom the meta beast even better… As they wanted the best of the best meta-human student, the same also applied to the beasts.

“You don’t have to worry, with us around, none of the beasts would combat with you. So, you can consider this to be a free tour around the city.”

Raphael remained silent even after the beast he spoke.

He glanced at the other beasts, and then at Gus before he nodded his head. “Alright then, let’s go.”

As Raphael agreed to tour around the city with them, the beasts couldn’t help but be delighted. They, however, chose to keep a neutral face, and once the doors were locked, they set out.

“The City wasn’t always these beautiful you know, and once it expands, we can begin to call it the new world.” Said the ape.

As the mansion was on the far end of the city, they had to go through a teleportation channel to make things faster.

Then, they began to move around the city.

While Gus comfortably sat on the half-beast-half man’s shoulder, listening to the tales he was telling about the city, Raphael stared at the surrounding.

He was yet to understand what was meant by beautiful, as this place was with no doubt the embodiment of chaos.

If when the city was in the shape, it was already considered beautiful, then Raphael couldn’t help but wonder what it would be like if it were to be ugly.

“Ahhhh!!!!”

“Argh!!!”

As that voice sounded, Raphael turned towards the direction it was coming from instantly, and upon seeing the man whose body was soon to be swallowed by a gigantic wolf, his eyes twitched.

The wolf was massive, to say the least.

“Help… Me!!!”

Just after he managed to utter those words, the wolf applied more force to its biting.

The sounds of bones crushing rang out, and as the man’s eyes popped out of their sockets, the wolf swallowed his entire figure.

“Hehe” Then turning towards Raphael and the other beasts, the wolf let out a chuckle.

“Human, why don’t you come over here? I have some candy, you would surely like.” The wolf said.

After the wolf spoke, it met the dreadful eyes of the beasts around Raphael. As the six of them eyes were glued to its body, the wolf gulped and then took a step backward.

“Hahaha! Yours truly is simply joking. I dare not have such thought on the great Raphael Queen.” The wolf muttered.

Seeing the look on some of the strongest beasts in the city, the wolf chose not to wait before that situation became dire.

His previous attempt was to test whether or not Raphael was who was said he was, but as his engagement wasn’t welcomed by the other beasts, he fled.

“I apologize for that scene. It’s merely a nobody trying desperately to feel among.” Said the half-beast -half-man.

This time around, Raphael didn’t think too much about what was said, and he chose to nod his head.

“This is one of the finest restaurants In the city, the killer restaurant. They have both human and beast meat there. I’m sure, you will love it.,”

“After the tour, let’s come back here, and I will treat you to a tasty meal.”

Gus stared at the restaurant in front and flapped its wings afterward.

A smile formed on the face of the half-beast-half-man, as well as the other beasts, upon seeing Gus’s reaction. They were hardly any beasts that would step in front of the shop and wouldn’t want to have a taste of the delicacy.

“… It’s possible to explore the city in one day, so I will only be showing you some of our favorite places in the city.” the half-beast-half man spoke.

“And once that is taken care of, we shall feast at the beast restaurant.” He added.

The tour around the city continued, with both beasts and metahumans all over the city staring at Gus and Raphael as they strolled around the city.

There was a bewildered look on the majority of their faces, as beasts were said to hate metahumans, so how could they possibly be hanging around with Raphael?

“Why are you so surprised, isn’t the saying, monsters of the same skin flock around together.”

Unbeknownst to Raphael, words of different kinds moved around the city, as most speculated that he was a beast but in human form.

It also explained why a beast was always on his shoulder.

Raphael was oblivious to the words that were being said about him in the city, and his only focus was the tour around the city.

It opened his eyes, and he realized that the new age city was a perfect region to create an army of his own.
