Chapter 23.3: I’m With You

“Since we both have had a relationship with the same person, why don’t we just say what’s on our minds?” Zhuo Feng spoke lightly, without any taboo.

Xu Rui sneered, pushed away his hand, and said, “You’re mistaken, it’s not me who had a relationship with the same person, it’s me who was played by the same person.”

With this remark, Xu Rui not only lost face for himself but also exposed Zhuo Feng’s true colors.

Zhuo Feng’s face immediately changed.

Of course, he was angry. How could he not care?

He, as the young master Zhuo, when had he ever stumbled? He was actually deceived by a fake and sincerely liked that person for such a long time.

He glared angrily at Xu Rui, and just as he was about to leave, Xu Rui unexpectedly held him back.

“Zhuo Shao, don’t you want to retaliate?” Xu Rui asked.

Zhuo Feng turned around and looked at him carefully, then smiled, “Ha! Mr. Xu, you really impressed me. You actually trust me so much.”

Xu Rui also smiled, “After all, we have had similar experiences.”

Zhuo Feng curved his lips and silently exchanged contact information and an address with Xu Rui.

Bian Yi was no longer interested in what had happened or was about to happen on his side. He had already warmed up to Jiang Shi, and had finally heard what he wanted to hear from Jiang Shi’s mouth.

“Teacher Bian, what does it mean to have severe delusions? Will both vision and hearing be affected?” The more Jiang Shi interacted with Bian Yi, the more he liked him, and he couldn’t help but share his recent sudden experiences.

Of course, he wasn’t stupid and didn’t dare to tell the truth, only saying that he had recently watched a science fiction movie and thought it was amazing.

Bian Yi pretended not to have heard anything and replied, “I’m not very familiar with this area. If you’re interested, you can ask a professional.”

Ah, he should see a doctor.

Jiang Shi felt a little down.

The situation today was more serious, and he felt that he couldn’t delay any longer, so he said to Bian Yi, “Actually, I don’t know if it’s because I’ve been practicing too much lately, but I occasionally experience auditory hallucinations. I haven’t dared to tell Sister Jiang.”

Bian Yi thought for a moment and said, “Well, I know someone who is a professional and knows a lot about this area. This is his contact information.”

Bian Yi gave Jiang Shi a string of numbers from his phone.

Jiang Shi thanked him and wrote it down.

Bian Yi smiled and said, “You’re welcome, glad to be of help.”

There were very few phone numbers on Bian Yi’s phone.

He didn’t have any notes, only numbers.

And this set of numbers was given to him by Kou Li, who said that if Bian Yi had the time or remembered something, he could go find the owner of the number.

That was Kou Li’s doctor friend, Jian Yi.

The banquet was over, and Bian Yi and Kou Li went home.

Jiang Shi had already left.

He hadn’t returned to his apartment yet when it started to rain.

The book that had been quiet since he saw Bian Yi had a new reaction.

It said:

[Are you still denying my authenticity?]

[A three-car rear-end collision will occur on X Road tonight, resulting in four deaths and one serious injury. There is a labeled content in Chapter 5 of this book, at 86% completion.]

[If you don’t believe me, just wait and see. The accident will happen in ten minutes.]

Jiang Shixing was shocked.

An accident – this is a matter of life and death.

But there are only ten minutes left. Even if it is true, he cannot warn anyone, and no one will believe him.

Jiang Shi quickly opened the book and found it written in Chapter 5 as he expected.

It was a very short sentence as if passing by.

[After leaving the banquet, it started to rain shortly afterward. The rain was not heavy, but Jiang Shi felt unexpectedly cold in the car. The man beside him looked outside the window with disgust, frowning.]

[Jiang Shi followed the man’s gaze and saw it at a glance, feeling his blood turn cold.]

[It was a car accident, with three cars colliding together. Blood was everywhere near the cars, and Jiang Shi’s eyes met those of a woman who was hanging upside down in the driver’s seat. But her eyes didn’t blink. She was already dead.]

Jiang Shi’s heart was pounding and his mouth was dry.

He asked the driver to change the route. Jiang Jie asked him why he was going to X Road, but Jiang Shixing didn’t say anything.

Looking at the book, the content inside was fake, he just wanted to make fun of it.

But this was a matter of life and death. If it was true…

If it was true, Jiang Shi didn’t know what to do.

Anyway, he had to go and see.

Bian Yi stood on the porch watching the rain in the courtyard. The rain fell on the tree they had just planted as a family of three, which had only been planted in the soil for a few days and looked rather lifeless. The original leaves were also curling up and not very beautiful.

Bian Yi frowned at the wrinkled leaves.

He was wondering if he was too anxious.

He gave Jiang Shi a simple phone number. If Jiang Shi went to see him tomorrow and the system was really hidden in Jiang Shixing’s mind, then obviously, it would immediately realize it after seeing the simple code.

It would also escape.

Bian Yi was a little annoyed. For this system, the revenge system could not provide anything to kill it, only to suppress it.

But currently, there seems to be no way to kill the system.

If it escapes again, no one knows who it will find next.

Yes, either Kou Li or himself still had something the system wanted, but what if it gave up?

It felt that it was a waste of time and energy to keep pulling with these humans. Would it leave this world?

Did Bian Yi just want the system to leave this world?

No, of course not, it’s not enough.

He wanted it to die, to be destroyed.

Closing his eyes, Bian Yi took a deep breath of the rain-scented air with a muddy smell. He needed to go and discuss with Kou Li.

To kill the system, he had to work with Kou Li.

Kou Li was also looking for Bian Yi.

The two met at the staircase.

It was the day when Bian Yi came back. They both stood at the same spot, one holding a knife, and the other with his neck pinched, wanting to kill each other.

The two were silent for a moment, then spoke at the same time: “I-“

Both sides were stunned, and then they fell silent again, seemingly waiting for the other to speak.

Bian Yi frowned discontentedly and looked at Kou Li, gesturing for him to speak first.

Kou Li did not give in to Bian Yi’s gesture and said, “I am going out for a few days, at least two days, and up to a week.”

He finished speaking, but it seemed like he hadn’t said everything. He looked at Bian Yi as if he wanted to ask for his opinion.

“What are you going to do?” Bian Yi asked without targeting Kou Li’s hesitant words.

“Looking for a special material,” Kou Li said, looking at Bian Yi. “Something that can kill it.”

Bian Yi’s lips twitched, but he didn’t say anything.

He knew that Kou Li was very capable, but that system was not an easy opponent. Nobody could say how many years of research it would take to create a device that could make it “die”.

Bian Yi didn’t want to ask, nor did he want to know whether Kou Li had spent a lot of time and effort on this.

“Got it,” Bian Yi said, and brushed past Kou Li, preparing to go upstairs.

However, at this moment, the revenge system spoke.

Its voice was still clear and pleasant, and it said, “Go with him.”

This “him” obviously referred to Kou Li.

Bian Yi was silent for a moment. Perhaps his stopping motion was a bit strange, and Kou Li turned to look at him.

Bian Yi finally couldn’t help but ask the revenge system, “What exactly does Kou Li have that you want?”

As expected, the system did not answer.

Bian Yi didn’t turn around to look at Kou Li, but Kou Li could hear what he said.

“I’ll go with you,” he said.

Kou Li lightly laughed, looking at Bian Yi’s profile, and said warmly, “It’s very cold there. I’ll have someone prepare an extra set of cold-resistant clothing.”
