Bring You Breakfast (2)

He needed to get up so early in the morning. It was also said that he needed to do a morning run and nightly self-study later. The lights would be turned off at 10:30 p.m. It was simply crazy.

In his previous life, the restrictions on the demonic sect’s subordinates weren’t even this harsh!

He turned his head to look at the neighboring bed and found out that it had been long since vacated. Like yesterday, the cool summer quilt had been folded like a tofu block and looked strictly neat.

He was still in a daze when a knock sounded; the sound was soft and cautious.

Ruan Qingmu groaned in pain. “Who is it?”

Was it possible that a special dorm administrator was in charge of urging people to attend class?

A boy’s voice passed through the door, sounding very faint, “It’s me, Fang Li. Have you woken up?”

Ruan Qingmu blankly stared, climbed down from the bed, and hopped to open the door. “It’s you?”

Fang Li was also wearing his school uniform. He looked tidy and his appearance was meek. “Last night, I heard that you were allocated to the first floor.”

There was a plastic bag in his hand, containing two steamed buns: one with tea egg filling and the other with deep-fried breadstick filling. There was also a bag of soy milk inside.

“The canteen is a little far, and it’s also inconvenient with your leg. I had finished eating, so I brought some for you.” Fang Li was a little embarrassed. “I don’t know what you like to eat, so I only took a little from each type.”

Ruan Qingmu’s eyes lit up. “It’s great. Quick, come in. I was just too lazy to move.”

Without anyone to wait on him, he would rather go hungry than jump to the canteen on his crutches.

Fang Li carefully looked inside the room. He felt a little nervous. “Ah…..Is it convenient for me to go in?”

This was Boss Qin’s dorm!

Ruan Qingmu felt odd. “Why will it be inconvenient? Anyway, I’m not hiding a woman here.”

Fang Li’s face turned red. He hurriedly entered and put the breakfast on the desk. “Here. You should eat quickly then. After you finish eating, we can go to the classroom. We still have an exam later.”

Ruan Qingmu made a response and sleepily ran to the bathroom to brush his teeth.

The bathroom wasn’t very big, and the sink area was even smaller. Only two sets of mouthwash cups and toothbrushes could be placed on it. Ruan Qingmu clicked his tongue once as he saw the seemingly expensive electric toothbrush on the right side.

When he came out, Fang Li was sitting obediently on a stool at the side with his hands on his knees.

Ruan Qingmu sat down, looked up to see his appearance, and carelessly made a joke. “Why are you sitting like a little daughter-in-law? Girls don’t even properly sit like this.”

Fang Li lowered his head, and his face went rigid.

“Hey, really thank you, ah.” Ruan Qingmu also didn’t notice his expression and grabbed a steamed bun. “You sent me home yesterday and helped bring me breakfast today.”

Fang Li waved his hand in embarrassment. “I only did it in passing. Oh right, it will be inconvenient for you to get food at the canteen these days, so I’ll help bring it to you.”

“No need for that. I can still manage it.” Ruan Qingmu swayed his legs.

“Actually, I could walk, but the doctor told me it was best to recuperate for a while. I’m truly not a cripple.”

Fang Li whispered, “Don’t you know how scary our canteen is at noon? The queue for several windows that sell foods such as braised pork ribs and braised pork balls in gravy can make people blow a fuse.”

Ruan Qingmu tilted his head and thought it was indeed so.

In his memory, waves of people would crazily run to the canteen every noon. There would be a sea of people queueing in front of those windows.

“Fine, then I’ll trouble you for a month.” He didn’t continue being polite. “When I’m healed, I’ll also help you grab food for a month!”

Fang Li shyly smiled. “Okay then.”

He leaned over and pointed at the one with the deep-fried breadstick. “You should eat this while it’s hot. It will be greasy once it becomes cold, and you’ll upset your stomach.”

They were talking when a ‘click’ sounded from the door; the smart door lock had been opened.

Qin Yuan expressionlessly stood at the doorway while holding a similar canteen take-out plastic bag.

Fang Li was scared into jumping, and he hurriedly stood up. “Qin-Student Qin Yuan, hello!”

The light morning sun from outside the window shone on Qin Yuan’s stern look, making his expression unclear.

His gaze indifferently swept across the desk in front of the two people, and he seemed momentarily stunned when his gaze landed on the fully packed breakfast.

Ruan Qingmu blankly stared at him before smiling and beckoning at him. “Aiya, you also brought it back to eat here?”

The boy at the door looked tense and seemed as if he was reluctant to answer him.

He coldly entered after a long time and sat down alone on his own desk at an exasperatingly slow pace.

Afterward, he began to take bite after bite of that breakfast portion.

Who knew the reason, but it seemed that he was swallowing very slowly and with a bit of difficulty.
