CH 16.2

The crowd wildly rushed out and the last one, Fang Li, closed the door.

Outside the door, Bai Jing carefully stuck on the door and listened for a while, then shook his head in remorse.

“How is it? What’s the situation inside?” The boys asked in low voices.

Bai Jing scratched his head, “Extremely quiet, can’t hear anything.”

Someone suddenly said, “Say, are the people from Class 1 in conflict with Liu Jun?”

The boys were all baffled. “How can you say that?”

The boy’s face was confident. “Look at the betting post. I’ve been paying attention to it….the rates are rising alternatively. It’s a stalemate!”

At first, the bet on Liu Jun extending his hand first occupied the first place. But along with Ruan Qingmu closely sticking to Qin Yuan in the competition class, the bet on Qin Yuan began to reverse. Afterward, Ruan Qingmu robbed Liu Jun’s position, and the bet inclined toward Liu Jun again. Could it be…..

Class 1 wasn’t content with this stake, so they intentionally left bloody handprints?

Bai Jing slapped the boy’s shoulder hard. “Ge, you’re a talent! The overall context has been completely cleared after you sorted it out like this.”

……

Ruan Qingmu opened the bathroom door, wiped his hair, and walked out.

They were going to sleep soon. He only wore a small white tank top that hung loosely on his body and blue shorts which were also slightly loose, revealing a pair of straight and slender legs.

He slowly walked to the bedside, reached for the bedrail, and wanted to climb up. As he lowered his arm, he was dragged back by someone.

Qin Yuan was sitting beside the desk and had extended his hand to pull him.

Ruan Qingmu’s arm was extended, and the waistline under the small tank top was exposed. Because his skin was too fair, this short movement revealed the strong, lean waistline and a tiny round navel. At a glance, it directly met Qin Yuan’s line of sight. Once Qin Yuan glanced over, this fair-white delicate part was seen.

He quickly turned his head, lowered his eyebrows, and erected his arm on the desk.

The lines of the youth’s arm were strong and elegant. It was neither muscular like a young man nor thin like an ordinary high schooler.  He slightly exercised his wrist, and his ten slender fingers made a few crisp sounds.

Ruan Qingmu turned his head to look at him but didn’t extend his hand.

Qin Yuan raised his brows. “Come on?”

Ruan Qingmu smiled. His gaze was bright, carrying a hint of strange implication. “What are you up to? Haven’t you already won against me in the high jump? Still want to suppress me in everything?”

Qin Yuan frowned. “It’s only a casual competition. There’s no unnecessary meaning in it.”

Ruan Qingmu turned around, and the tank top finally covered the swaying waistline. He found a more comfortable position and leaned against the bed frame. “No need for that.”

“Oh? Are you afraid?”

Ruan Qingmu’s expression underwent a subtle change. He glared at him and sneered, “Yes, ah. I’m afraid that I’ll break your wrist if I’m uncareful.”

He wasn’t stupid either. He had never won against this guy in terms of strength in his previous life. Why would he humiliate himself now!

Qin Yuan finally withdrew his hand and faintly spat out two words. “Hehe.”

Ruan Qingmu, “…..”

He knew that this person would be unreasonable and repulsive!

Just as Qin Yuan had finished bathing and got on the bed, the light was out.

Both of their bunk beds were next to each other. One bed was so quiet as if it was unoccupied, and the other full of tossing and turning like a perpetual motion machine.

After a long time, Qin Yuan finally stretched out a foot and kicked the opposite bed frame. “Are you going to sleep or not?”

Ruan Qingmu became still, unhappily kicking back after a long while. “Wait for a month.”

Qin Yuan waited for a while before asking, “What one month?”

The moonlight outside the window quietly shone and sprinkled soft silver fragments on both of their mosquito nets.

The airflow from the air conditioner faintly moved the corner of the mosquito nets. The silver light flowed between the fragmented veils; it was gentle and tender.

Ruan Qingmu gazed at the bright round moon outside the window and faintly sighed.

Although it was a completely different world, it was still the same moonlight and the same person under the moonlight that would kick and ask him to be a little quiet.

“My leg will be completely healed after a month. At that time, I will apply to move back to the fourth floor.” His voice was soft, not knowing whether he was talking to himself or to the other.

“Furthermore, we will also be allowed to change shifting classes again based on the progress after a month.” His voice became softer, as if he would fall asleep soon. “Don’t worry. I won’t hang around in the competition class.”

So, give me a month to let me look at you a few more times, and I will leave.

……

The moon was as cool as water.

Qin Yuan dreamt that dream again tonight.

It seemed to be a continuation of the previous dream. He was still inside the damp and dark cavern, and that familiar voice was still beside him, mumbling to himself, “Forget about it. I won’t be able to go out for a while. If I kill him, then wouldn’t that mean I have to stay with a corpse in here?”

His body couldn’t move, and the numbness below his collarbone had spread to half of his chest still continued to spread. Half of his body was hot as if being burned by fire, and the other half was as cold as ice.

Slightly cool lips covered and pressed against his scalding and numbing wound in the quiet darkness.

Tossing and sucking, and moving away; covering again, moving away again…..

It was repeated until the numbness and itchiness on the wound gradually faded and finally until he fell fast asleep.

When he sobered up again, he felt a little dizzy and a little feverish. Someone walked around with a rustling sound. He was then lifted and carried to the other side.

It wasn’t the damp, cold, hard ground beneath him anymore; it was replaced with soft hay. After an unknown period of time had passed, someone lay down beside him.

His eyelids were heavy and couldn’t be opened.

The person next to him didn’t lie down steadily. After a moment, he would turn over here and there and then stretch out their hand to touch his forehead after a while.

The wound on his shoulder was still sore. He felt restless in his heart. In a daze, he heard his own voice come up and struggled to kick the messy straw. “Are you going to sleep or not?”

That familiar youth’s voice seemed angry, and he kicked him neither lightly nor heavily; his tone was harsh, “Qin shaoxia, don’t say that I haven’t warned you – if you continue to chirp, believe me, I will throw you out and feed you to the snakes!”
