CH 25.2

A Huge Display (2)

There were green mountains, blue water, rocks, and pine trees. On the cliff on the side, two youths in ancient costumes stood on the stone platform; one held a sword in his hand, and the other sat under the tree reading a book.

The youth with a sword was tall and the long sword in his hand pointed at the flowing river in the distance. On his profile that was revealed, one could faintly see sword-like brows and phoenix eyes. With only a few strokes, one could see that he was an outstanding figure.

The youth sitting under the tree looking at a book didn’t show his face. He leaned obliquely against the tree, revealing a slender wrist that held a scroll.

He sat improperly with a lazy and undisciplined posture.

Looking carefully, there were several words written on that scroll. “The Eighteen Volumes of Exam Questions.”

After all, they used an unpracticed painting brush with a coarse tip, but one could still see the painter’s foundation. The mountains and waters were presentable and the posture of the two youths in the middle was also beautiful with neat lines.

The number of people who came to admire increased. The one in the back couldn’t squeeze forward and someone started to shout, “Hey, hey, the one in front. What is the poem written on the blackboard?”

Oh, right. There were two large striking words written in the center “Encourage Learning.” However, there was also a large section of a vertically written semi-cursive script in the blank space on the side.

The words stood out confidently and at ease on the wall. Under several last characters, there were even drips of red paint flowing down and were already solidified; exceptionally beautiful.

Someone stretched their necks inside and loudly read it out.

“Dozed off in the morning reading and the English that was taught was all forgotten.

Didn’t work hard in the evening class and copied homework the next day.

Flew all around the field every day but was full of cries in the exam room.

The mind of the person holding the pen was blank, passionately passing on cheats.

Advising the Lord to reflect more, the college entrance examination was in front of the eyes.

Standing on top of the peak, glanced at the small underachiever!”

The large crowd of underachieving students in the corridor: “…”

Was this poem pointing a finger at them?

Did it have to be like this? Coming out with a blackboard bulletin and still wanting to slap everyone’s faces at the same time?

Niu Xiaoqing, with a bright face, pushed the students forward. “Here, here, don’t be shy. Come in and take a look!”

As she spoke this, a sob sounded from her behind. “Niu Xiaoqing, you are pretty good, ah. Right, I defeated you for the publicity representative position in the junior year, so is that why you bore grudges?”

It was Liu Siyuan, who ran over at this time. As soon as she saw the blackboard bulletin, she was shocked and angry.

Xiu Xiaoqing had been feeling happy, but she felt dumbfounded as she was being scolded like this. “What are you saying?”

“You obviously had this skill, but you didn’t even bring it up that you can draw for the whole semester during junior year when I asked if anyone could help with the blackboard bulletin.”

Liu Siyuan felt more and more wronged, the more she thought about it. “It was all for the class, but you hid and concealed your skill like this. You did this so you could see me being humiliated. Is this interesting to you?”

Niu Xiaoqing was anxious. “You’re talking nonsense. Who is hiding and concealing their talent? Don’t you have any idea that this is my art grade?”

Ruan Qingmu silently raised his head and looked at the large chaotic group of people at the doorway and the two cockfighting-like girls. He reached out and pulled off his earphone cable.

So noisy… What’s going on?

Tang Tiantian hurriedly pulled Liu Siyuan’s hand and anxiously explained, “Yuan Yuan, it’s not like that. We asked for the boys’ help to draw this term’s bulletin.”

She glanced at the cold-faced Ruan Qingmu in the last row and didn’t dare to speak up his name. Oh right, it seems like Boss Qin Yuan also wouldn’t want his name to be declared!

Liu Siyuan bit her lips. “You’re liars.”

Niu Xiaoqing shook off her hand. “You might as well seriously think it over for yourself why people might not want to help you during your term as the publicity representative!”

This sentence was unintentional. But once it reached Liu Siyuan’s ear, it sounded very harsh.

She was pretty and there were many boys fighting each other to help her regardless if they could draw or not whenever it was the time for blackboard bulletin evaluation. Liu Siyuan had even taken up the habit of ordering Wang Li around.

Niu Xiaoqing looked so ugly; she was tall and robust. She unexpectedly dared to mock her?

“Just you? Will the boys want to surround you? It’d be good if they didn’t avoid you…” Liu Siyuan was embarrassed and angry. She couldn’t help but mutter out spiteful words in a low voice.

Niu Xiaoqing was stunned.

From her childhood until now, the boys would only think of her as a little sister. No matter how good they got along, the boys would immediately turn around to fawn at a pretty girl like Liu Siyuan.

Although she had gotten used to it long ago, she would still feel bad and wanted to burst into tears as soon as she heard such ridicule coming from someone the same sex as her.

The two girls’ quarrel had attracted attention. The boys watching at the side immediately started to create a disturbance.

“Ohh, they’ve quarreled!”

“A gentleman uses his mouth and not his fist. Niu-jie, don’t hit people. Other beautiful girls can’t stand to be hit.”

“Step back, be careful now!”

The majority of the students went back to their class and waited for the class to start. Only a few students went to Class 9 to watch out of boredom. Others who were curious scrolled down the page of the school website to watch the live stream.
