Thief (2)

As the commotion continued, someone suddenly shouted from the dorm across them, “Fuck, fuck, fuck! Something happened in the girl’s dormitory!”

The shout immediately attracted the boys’ attention. “What happened? What happened?”

After asking around and inquiring, every class’s QQ group exploded as expected. The girls were all extremely anxious and there were 999+ messages sent to the group instantly.

The boys looked at their phones for a while and they were scared senseless. “Shit! A thief broke inside??”

“The security department had sent people there and said two phones were lost. They all belong to the honor class’ girls…”

“I just knew it. You have to take your phones with you everywhere you go. See, the people from the honor class didn’t bring their phones during the night self-study. They were so obedient and now there’s a tragedy, right?”

After a while, someone secretly forwarded screenshots inside the boys’ group from the girls’ side and the posts made people very angry.

Looking at the content of the screenshots, the boys looked at each other in dismay. “Fuck, what a bitch.”

Except for phones, a few pieces of underwear hung out to dry on the first floor had actually also been stolen!

“Damn, so disgusting…”

“He was fearless too. It’s not late at night and the night self-study is only until 8-9 o’clock, but he dared to break into the school?”

This was the first time they encountered such an exciting and frightening event and none of the boys could remain calm. They all gathered together and talked excitedly amongst themselves.

“Don’t talk about it anymore. Wouldn’t it be scarier if he came in at night?”

“Dead rubbish thief! Why didn’t he dare come to steal in our boy’s dorm? If he came here and met someone who skipped night self-study in the dorm, his two legs would’ve been broken!”

“Break his three legs!”

“Hahahaha, well said…”

Suddenly, someone said, “Thiefs from outside must climb the wall late at night. How could he easily avoid the security and dorm officers at 8-9 o’clock?”

“Ah, he still has to avoid the surveillance. How could breaking in be that easy?” Someone slapped his thigh in horror. “Are you guys saying that someone inside the school did it?”

A large group of boys looked at each other in shock. “Fuck! Why do I have the feeling what you said is very reasonable?”

“Doesn’t that mean that anyone who didn’t go to tonight’s self-study is now under suspicion?”

Someone became immediately anxious. “Get lost, get lost. Lao-zi also didn’t attend self-study and went to the Internet café.”

“Aiyo, it can’t be said… who knows if you’re the panty killer or not…” Someone smiled creepily.

That boy’s face turned red. He pounced over and clutched his neck. “I will kill you first. Not just kill you, but I will also kill your little brother* and 100 million of your offspring!”

As the commotion went on, the door of Fang Li’s dormitory next to them was opened.

Fang Li held a water bottle and headed for the water dispenser at the end of the corridor.

Suddenly, Li Zhiyong called out from behind him from inside the room. “Hey, Fang Li, where were you tonight?”

Fang Li’s body stiffened and a momentary flash of trepidation passed through his face.

He nervously turned around, his voice trembling softly, “I-I went to the advanced class for self-study.”

Fu Songhua had just finished taking a shower in the bathroom and he was completely unaware of what was going on. He walked to the door with his hair still dripping wet. When he heard this sentence, he casually answered without thinking, “What? I asked you to come, but didn’t you say you would go to your other class?”

In the corridor, the boys who had gathered noisily became quiet, their gazes focusing straight on Fang Li.

In the bright light, the complexion of Fang Li’s delicate face was deadly white and his slightly red lips suddenly seemed to become bloodless.

Amidst the stunned gazes of the crowd, he turned around hastily and hurriedly rushed toward the water dispenser.

The faces of the boys, who originally hadn’t thought anything of it, began to grow suspicious.

Finally, someone whispered, “Where did he go then? Have any of you seen him tonight?”

Class 9 students in the advanced physics class all shook their heads in unison. Indeed, nobody had seen him in the class.

Huang Ya stutteringly asked, “W-Where was he then?”

Li Zhiyong hugged his arm and stood in the doorway. “Yes, ah. It’s so weird!”

Liu Jun poked his head out of the next dorm and looked at the water dispenser’s side, also snorting. “He must have a secret motive. If not, why would he lie?”

Amidst the weird atmosphere, Ruan Qingmu’s cold voice sounded from behind the group.

“Save all your breath.” He slowly pried the crowd and walked to Bai Jing and another boy’s side, reaching out to hold both their necks in his hands. He handled them rather roughly.

His tone was indifferent but carried a slight menace in it. “Don’t make groundless accusations and tag someone with unfair labels. This is something done by a nasty person. I, Ruan Qingmu, will never tolerate such a thing, do you guys understand?”

The two boys hurriedly nodded. “Yeah, whoever randomly gossips will be our Class 9’s enemy!”

Ruan-ge was right. After all, Fang Li was from their Class 9 and they shouldn’t slander their own people like that.

“If someone has proof, they can directly report to the security guards.” Ruan Qingmu’s face turned slightly amiable. He released the two people and turned around to look at the boys all around, his expression as cold as ice. “If you don’t have proof, don’t blindly point your finger at others. Ask me first whether I agree to it or not.”
