Nothing To Do With You (1)

Qin Yuan pushed open the dorm room door and fixed his gaze on Ruan Qingmu who was standing there under the light.

Ruan Qingmu looked back with a smile on his face, his features like a painting with a pleased expression on it.

“Are you having fun?” Qin Yuan indifferently asked, his expression unreadable.

Ruan Qingmu raised his brows. “Don’t talk such nonsense. I had been studying all night long. When would I have the time to have fun?”

Qin Yuan walked over and looked at him. “Is that so? Have you been in the classroom for the last hour? Can you find any witnesses to corroborate your story?”

Ruan Qingmu’s bright eyes looked unconcerned at this moment. “I had a stomachache. I stayed in the bathroom for the later part. Do I still need a witness for that?”

Ruan Qingmu burst out laughing craftily. “Also, why do I need to prove myself? Is there any evidence directed at me that I was involved in the broadcast?”

Qin Yuan stared directly into Ruan Qingmu’s eyes and approached him. “If the matter is really investigated, isn’t it good enough to use the exclusion method? Only several people had conflicts with Lin Hua. Fu Songhua had been in the classroom for the whole night and you? Do you think everyone in the class will actually testify for you?”

Ruan Qingmu smiled. “Great class-monitor Qin, I have no idea what you’re talking about.”

“There’s surveillance on the stairs,” Qin Yuan said word by word.

Ruan Qingmu’s smile became even more confident. “Is that so? You must not have known that there’s a blind spot right where the boys’ bathroom is.”

He drawled out, “Moreover, everyone in the school heard that it was a girl getting the confession out of Lin Hua.”

Qin Yuan coldly looked at him, not saying a word.

Ruan Qingmu looked at the stern look on Qin Yuan’s face and sighed, finally mumbling, “Don’t worry. I’ve already made preparations. My hands and feet are completely clean.”

It was still fine before he said this, but Qin Yuan’s expression became uglier after hearing him say this.

“Yes, ah. Even the pried lock in the school broadcast station was prepared with a new one to avoid being accused of damaging public property.”

Ruan Qingmu sneaked a glance at the expression on Qin Yuan’s face. “If I tell you about it, you’re not allowed to scold or get angry.”

Qin Yuan looked at him, his face still expressionless. “Go ahead and say it first.”

Ruan Qingmu felt a little weak from being watched by him like that and whispered, “I knocked him down and tied him to a tree, threatening and hitting him to confess…”

Qin Yuan widened his eyes, feeling anxious and mad. “What did you just say? Where’s Lin Hua now?”

Ruan Qingmu waved his hand immediately. “I didn’t really do anything to him. I only used a thin rope and didn’t make a tight knot. He will break free soon…”

Before he finished speaking, Qin Yuan’s phone rang.

Qin Yuan quickly turned it on speaker and listened to Fu Songhua whisper in an empty place, “Class monitor, I want to tell you something. I led the teacher to the back wall just now. In the end, we bumped into Lin Hua!”

Qin Yuan’s brows twitched. “And then?”

“I really didn’t recognize him, thinking he was a thief and kicked him down. Do you know what happened next? He climbed up, didn’t even look for any trouble with me, and went straight to the teacher, complaining tearfully, saying he was beaten, kidnapped, and threatened with a knife to say those words…”

Qin Yuan listened to him say several more lines before hanging up the call. He turned his head and looked at Ruan Qingmu with a pair of calm phoenix eyes.

“You even held him at knifepoint?”

Ruan Qingmu lowered his head and shyly said, “I held the back of the knife to his neck. Of course, I wouldn’t use the blade. It would be a big problem if that moron shook and bled.”

“Oh, are you also afraid of causing a big problem? I thought you had a lot of guts and would really kill people.”

Why couldn’t he discuss this matter with him first? Why did that person eat and sleep together every day with him but do so many things in private, not revealing any hint of what he had planned?

Did he know that his future university admissions might be affected if he went too far and received a more severe punishment?

Ruan Qingmu glared daggers at him, finally feeling a little bit annoyed. “Yes, ah. Yes, ah. My dad was a murderer and it’s passed down onto me. Is that something weird?”

Qin Yuan’s face, which had been cold and indifferent, finally showed anger. “Are you crazy? What nonsense are you talking about?”

Ruan Qingmu lowered his eyelids, his face expressionless. “Qin-shaoxia, are you investigating a convict?”

He added again with a cold expression without waiting for Qin Yuan to speak. “I will repeat this. This matter originally had nothing to do with you. The person he wanted to harm was me.”

Qin Yuan looked at him with disappointment in his eyes. “I have nothing to do with it? So, in your heart, is it because you feel like it’s not worthwhile your time to discuss it with me first, or do you feel like I shouldn’t care about this matter that has to do with you?”

Ruan Qingmu impatiently stood up. “Enough. I’ll return upstairs. This isn’t even my dorm room in the first place. Goodbye, take it as if I didn’t come here tonight!”
