Chapter 20 - Elder Qin

Chapter 20 Elder Qin

“Who’s waiting to see with you?” I didn’t even bother to raise my head.

Luo Yan had stirred up so much trouble, but she was still so arrogant. She was really thick-skinned. However, I don’t want to waste any more time with her.

“Don’t disturb our meal. I hope you don’t affect my appetite,” I said indifferently.

I didn’t show any mercy. After all, Luo Yan and Shen Tao had no face.

“You! Lin Luo, just you wait! I’ll definitely let you experience the taste of failure!” Luo Yan was shouting again.

However, Shen Tao still didn’t say anything and didn’t respond to Luo Yan like he usually did. I knew that Shen Tao was no longer convinced by Luo Yan. Their relationship was no longer strong and stable.

My calmness was in stark contrast to the thunderous Luo Yan. The more irascible she was, the more unreasonable she seemed. The calmer I am now, the more steady I appear.

“Only the weak will make a fuss. The strong will prove themselves with actions,” I replied calmly, “So, you’re just a weakling.”

Luo Yan was struck by my words. She didn’t know how to respond, so she could only shut up.

I didn’t stand on ceremony and directly pointed in the direction of the door. “If you guys aren’t eating, then don’t make a scene in the cafeteria. The exit is over there. Take care. I won’t see you out.”

After I said that, I didn’t even look at them. On the contrary, it was the burning eyes from all directions that stung Luo Yan and Shen Tao.

Shen Tao left first and remained silent. He didn’t even say goodbye to Luo Yan.

Luo Yan originally wanted to continue scolding me, but under all sorts of gazes, she was too ashamed to argue with me, or perhaps she was afraid that I would reveal the truth. She didn’t argue with me, which was a rare sight, and just left angrily.

After Luo Yan and Shen Tao left, my

roommates who were shocked by me regained their senses. They all asked me what happened, and after I gave a simple reply, they all felt embarrassed for Luo Yan and Shen Tao when they mentioned them afterwards.

It was indeed embarrassing to be so confident in front of the director and teacher. When we were about to finish eating, the phone vibrated again.

[ Lucy: Teacher, we’re going to have an exam. ]

[ Lucy: I’m so nervous. ]

[ Lucy: I hope I can get a good score on the test, but I think I can definitely improve with Teacher’s help! ]

After reading it, a feeling of having a daughter growing up in my family spontaneously arose. I typed and encouraged her.

[ Good luck, I believe in you. ]

The other party replied almost instantly.

[ Lucy: Thank you, Teacher! ]

[ Lucy: Oh right, Teacher. There’s a test coming up soon, and my classmates want to learn from

you with me. Is that okay? ]

[Of course it is. ]

I couldn’t help but smile. One more student meant one more experience point source. It was a huge profit! Today, I was simply lucky.

The Medical Research Department.

“Good day, Elder Qin.”

“Good afternoon, Mr. Qin.”

“Hello, Mr. Qin.”

In the research department, when the old man

passed by, all the medical researchers, whether they had nothing to do or were working on

something, greeted him.

“Yes.”

“Yes,” the old man replied simply and headed

to his destination with determination. He walked to the office at the end of the corridor –

the director’s office.

“Good afternoon, Mr. Qin.”

The deputy director of the Medical Research

Department had been sitting on the sofa waiting. When he saw Old Qin enter the office, he quickly got up. The deputy director who was fierce and uncompromising outside, was just like an obedient child in front of Mr. Qin.

After all, Elder Qin’s status was ridiculously high. As long as it was slightly related to medicine, everyone knew the name of Elder Qin – Qin Anran, the current head of the Qin

family, a leading figure in the medical field, and the current director of the Medical Research Department.

It was just that he didn’t come to the research department often, so even the Deputy Director had only seen him a few times. He mainly researched HIV, and in the field of HIV, he had

made great achievements. He was a national treasure.

“Good afternoon.” Elder Qin waved his hand

and sat down on the chair in front of his desk.

He asked slowly, “How is the Medical Research Department doing recently?”

Elder Qin’s voice was calm, but carried a hint of anger. Hearing his question, the Deputy

Minister swallowed his saliva and replied nervously.

“Elder Qin, everything has been normal in the

research department recently. There are even new members.”

“Newcomers?” Old Qin knocked on the table.

“Yes, that’s right.” The deputy director quickly handed the information to Elder Qin. “This is the information of the new members. Please

take a look.”

After a series of actions, the deputy director

stood to the side. Elder Qin took the thick file and opened it to take a look. Inside, the identity and background of the new members of the Medical Research Department were recorded, as well as their detailed experiences. Every item was meticulous.

But who knew that Elder Qin’s expression

became more and more serious. Seeing this, the deputy director’s heart was in his throat. “This one has a beautiful resume, but lacks experience and only knows theory.” “Although this one is very experienced, it’s

easy to be careless when doing things. You know that medical researchers can’t be careless.”

“And this one, how did he get into the Medical Research Institute? He doesn’t have the ability or the experience. Oh, I know. He has a good father, right? His father is an administrator of the Medical Research Institute, so he can go through the back door, right?”

Elder Qin took a deep breath and threw all the information of the new members onto the table. The sound of paper hitting the table

wasn’t very loud, but the deputy director was still trembling slightly.

He couldn’t withstand Elder Qin’s anger. Just

when the atmosphere was so quiet that only

the sound of breathing could be heard, Elder Qin spoke again.

“Deputy Director Huang, are these the new members you found?”

He asked in a rhetorical tone. This made the

deputy director even more nervous. He wished

he could find a hole in the ground and hide in it to escape from Elder Qin’s wrath. However, reality proved that he could not avoid it. He could only face the imposing Elder Qin.

“E-Elder Qin, I’m sorry. I didn’t choose a good new member. I’ll definitely keep an eye on every recruitment process in the future. I won’t make any mistakes!”

“Going through the back door… Going through the back door will never happen again, I assure

you.”

The deputy director trembled, afraid that he

would say something wrong. Elder Qin’s expression still hadn’t eased.

He said with a straight face, “The Medical

Research Institute is used to train excellent medical personnel. How many people have put in so much effort to build the Medical Research

Institute? You should know.”

“… I know.” The deputy director lowered his

head.

“If you know, why aren’t you interested in the

screening of new members?” Elder Qin

slammed the table angrily. “Let’s not talk

about other things. Let’s talk about the person who got in through the back door. Will he take the position of an outstanding member?” “If we do this, we’ll lose the trust of talents,

and the medical school will close down sooner or later!”

The more Elder Qin spoke, the angrier he

became. He continued to flip through the information, trying to find information on more outstanding talents. However, before he could find the information, Elder Qin found a printed paper in the middle of the documents.

“Even the deputy director is so careless.” As Elder Qin spoke, he was about to throw the paper away.

But when he saw the contents of the paper, was stunned. Elder Qin quickly finished reading the paper and his expression quickly eased.

A talent, a talent!

“Who wrote this thesis? He’s a genius!’
