Chapter 383

383 Arriving at the small personal island

The door opened, and the teacher Maria entered the classroom. She noticed something might have happened, but she didn’t care as long as no one was hurt.

Maria walked to the teacher’s desk and said, “I hope everyone has formed a team.”

“Now, form a line on the left side and come to my desk one team after the other.” *Sigh* Maria sat on her chair and continued, “I will be linking the teleportation keys the old man gave you at the registry.”

Maria spoke informally and coldly mocked the other teacher by not mentioning his name and simply referring to him as an old man. Many understood why she was referred to as the ice queen by both students, teachers, and academy staff.

Shortly, nine teams registered their teleportation keys. Maria noticed a team of four and an elf still sitting alone.

“Looks like the last team is made of what remains.” Maria waved at Jun Ye Rim and told her to approach the teacher’s desk and link her teleportation key. However, Jun Ye Rim was reluctant to join the team with Vincent.

*Sigh* “Come here so you can join the tenth team. I don’t have all day.” *Sigh* “Nobles are always bothersome.” Maira tapped on the desk and ordered Jun Ye Rim to join the last team.

*Gulp* Jun Ye Rim glanced at Vincent and cautiously approached Maria. She placed her teleportation key on the desk and took a couple of steps away.

“Spoiled nobles. ” Maira grumbled while she linked Vincent, Lilith, Nick, Clair, and Jun Ye Rim’s teleportation keys together.

.....

Maria returned the linked teleportation key and stood up.

“The card in your hand has many uses. It can obey the commands of the individual it is linked to. It can be used as a teleportation key. It can show the lessons available and the time remaining.”

Maria pulled out her card, which had golden engraved corners, and continued.

“Lastly, the card can blink in different colors. Black and gray means a student or teacher was found dead. Red means we are at war, and the students are requested to go meet at the first year meeting field for further instructions. It is the same field where you gathered and waited for the headmaster to arrive.”

“Next is the Orange and Yellow colores. The Orange is for urgent situations while the Yellow is to signify hurrying is not required. These two color codes request all students to gather their servants and familiars and go to the meeting field of their respective year. This code is rarely used, like the black and red colors.”

“The card will blink White most of the time. It means the students must gather because the headmaster has something to announce.” *Sigh* “Now, as for the commands, they are Show Next Class, Go Residence, and Go Academy.”

Maria walked to the door and said before leaving, “I will be leaving, and there will be no classes for today. Everyone can say the Go Residence command while the card is in your hands. Each card can teleport up to five people or familiars that are in contact with the student who uses the command.”

“How about we use one of my three times daily limit usage?” Nick offered.

“Okay.” Vincent placed his hand on Nick’s shoulder. He held Lilith’s hand next.

Lilith understood what was on Vincent’s mind. He was acting as the bridge between him and the infamous Nick. Lilith offered her hand to Clair, and she accepted.

Jun Ye Rim kept her distance. She looked at Clair offering her hand, and revealed a dissatisfied expression when Vincent entered her sight.

“Go Residence.” Jun Ye Rim said. Her body shone with light, and it disappeared in the blink of an eye.

The fifth team member left before them. It appeared Jun Ye Rim didn’t want help and her action made Clair feel bad. She looked at her hand with an unhappy expression.

[That Jun Ye Rim chick looks problematic both because of her personality and that dangerous flying snake.]

-Kazumi, how are you faring right now? You sound much better now.-

[I feel better, thanks. Wolfie and Freerie are cuddling with me, and they helped me feel better. I don’t know what I would do if I were alone.]

Vincent nodded at Nick. It was time to go and hope Lupa didn’t get herself into trouble and bit someone.

“Go Residence. ” Nick said the command for his teleportation key to activate.

Soon, their vision was engulfed by light. Their eyes closed instinctively.

The next time their eyes opened, a vast forest-like area with trees welcomed them. A couple of meters in front of them was a small-sized mansion made out of wood. Vincent and Kazumi got the feeling of arriving in a private forest mansion.

Jun Ye Rim was approaching the front door. She looked behind her after sensing the mana change. Her four classmates appeared a moment later.

Vincent approached Jun Ye Rim with Nick beside him and Lilith with Clair beside her. They greeted the loner elf, but the response wasn’t a good one.

“You human hurt my friend and me.” Jun Ye Rim said while glaring at Vincent.

“I want to be left alone. Please don’t talk to me. I don’t care about anyone.” Jun Ye Rim then looked at both Vincent and Nick and continued, “I choose death instead of being a slave wife. I will see my grandma untainted.”

Her sudden blunt and negative words shocked them. She opened the door and went inside.

“Don’t worry, Jun Ye Rim, my wives are with me, so I don’t need to do anything bad to you. And as for what happened before, I didn’t know the Soul Servant had pain and emotional feedback. I would have toned what happened down.” Vincent stated.

Vincent felt a little guilty that Jun Ye Rim got injured, yet his guilt stemmed from Kazumi not getting hurt. He might feel differently if the snake-like spirit injured Kazumi.

“I-I will not do anything to you too. I am not a horrible person.” Nick stated. He peeked at Clair and noticed she was glancing at him from behind Lilith. He lightly blushed after their eyes met.

Jun Ye Rim looked at Vincent and Nick with a frown instead of a glare and went to find a room. It appeared she accepted their words for now.

[I guess she somewhat accepted the apology. Hmm? I feel mana being disturbed and altered behind us. Something is about to happen.]

Vincent turned around. Lilith, Nick, and Clair thought there was someone or something behind them, but there was no one.

Shortly, multiple bright lights appeared, and multiple silhouettes rapidly formed. Four human-like figures and one four-legged animal figure wagging its tail appeared.

Vincent, Kazumi, and Lilith immediately guessed it was undoubtedly Lupa.

[My mate! I missed you!] Lupa ran towards Vincent. She leaped on him, and both fell to the ground. Lupa licked his face, and her tongue knew no mercy.

Vincent closed her mouth, coughed once or twice, and said, “It has only been half a day. Was waiting for us that bad?”

[Yes. Many looked at me because I am a wolf of a noble line. White wolves are the best. I think they knew Lupa is best girl.]

Lupa cheekily said. She peeked at Plow and her mouth slightly curved a smile at the sight of the cutely pouting Plow. She wanted to do the same, but Lupa beat her to it.

Vincent patted her head and got up. He saw Vivid and beside him was a cat girl wearing a maid’s outfit. She was the same cat girl they saw Clair helping get out of the carriage.

“Ester. Iris. Lupa told me there were a lot of people looking at you. I hope there were no problems.” Vincent asked.

“We were waiting in a corner when Vivid remembered us from the wedding. He helped us not to attract that much attention.” Ester looked at Iris and continued, “Iris was nervous about having so many people looking at her. She hid behind me, hehe.”

“...” Iris couldn’t deny her words nor add anything new. She was embarrassed to be shy all the time.

*Woof!* [I wanted to bite their asses! But sister stopped me.]

“But that would have been a problem, lady Lupa. ” Vivid replied.

“Huh? You can talk to wolves?” Vincent and Nick immediately asked.

“I feel bad my Master doesn’t know I can talk to wolves. And here I thought Master knew all about me...” Vivid shook his head. He acted as if he was Nick’s friend rather than his servant.

“Master never asked.” Vivid continued with a smirk on his face.

“I can speak to cats... does my lady know?” The cat girl asked.

The cat girl servant wore a maid’s outfit, and she was about as tall as Clair. On her head were a pair of black-furred ears and a black-furred tail slightly swung from time to time. Her eyes were yellow with a greenish hue, and her skin was slightly dark.

“...” Clair blushed.

“I thought so.” *sigh* “Well, anyway, my name is, mufmuf...” The cat girl was introducing herself when Clair covered her mouth. Her face was bright red, and it felt as if Clair was about to die from embarrassment.

The cat girl extended her finger and tickled Clair in front of everyone. Clair couldn’t hold it in anymore and began laughing.

“Finally, some air. My, my, what a troublesome master I have.” The cat girl took a step back, placed her hands on her skirt, and bowed respectfully with noble etiquette. “This cute servant’s name was given when my lady became my Master at a young age. My lady gave me the name Pussy, ~meow~. You know. Like a pussy cat, hehe.”
