Chapter 384

384 An unexpected amazing gift

Clair was about to die from utter embarrassment after her servant’s name became known. She slightly bent her knees and dashed inside to find a bed to hide in.

“Hehehe, my master is cute, isn’t she.” Pussy winked and continued before heading inside, “I suffer from motion sickness even if I am a cute cat girl. I was still a bit nauseous after arriving by the carriage, even after boringly waiting for a very long time. But this teleporting light thingy has gotten me all cured up, ~meow~. Well, see you all later, hehe.”

Pussy left, leaving everyone staring at the cat girl cheerfully entering the mansion without any care in the world. She looked like an outspoken and free-spirited cat girl.

It might provide a challenge when determining who the actual Master and the servant were if not for their clothes and the slave curse.

Vincent checked her stats and realized the difference between Pussy and Lupa. Pussy was a beastman with a shapeshifter class, unlike Vivid’s Warrior class.

The reason why guild leader Gevan was surprised when he saw Lupa’s race became clear. Lupa’s race is that of a White Wolf Beastman instead of Beastman. Similarly, her class is Beast Shapeshifter instead of Shapeshifter.

Lupa’s race and class have two values. It felt as if Lupa had the best of both worlds.

Vincent and Kazumi pondered if Lupa was more astonishing than they thought.

Vincent stopped looking and turned his gaze. “Does this mean Jun Ye Rim doesn’t have a servant nor a familiar?” He questioned after her servant never appeared.

“She might have been kicked out of her home and came here to acquire a nobility title.” Nick guessed by what he knew and heard from his classmates.

Lilith felt much better after hearing the birds chirping, smelling the fresh smell of nature, and watching trees and wildflowers’ greenery. It made all the previous tension go away.

“We can ask her later to keep Lupa’s secret. ” Lilith said with a smile.

“How about we start unpacking.” Ester looked at the sky and continued, “It feels like it has gotten much later all of a sudden.”

[Vincent, look at the watch. I think Ester is on to something.]

Vincent summoned his watch and looked at the time. A frown appeared on his face while he revealed, “Ester, you are right. I think it takes one hour to go back and forth. But it feels like a second to us, it seems.”

Vincent revealed one of the flaws the teleportation system had. Not only did they have limited uses, but they also had to prepare one hour before. Furthermore, it felt strange now that one second for them was one hour for the world’s time.

“Well, let’s find a room and unpack our stuff.” Vincent turned around and headed to the mansion. Behind him followed Lilith, Ester with Plow between her arms, Iris with Zero on her head, and Lupa wagging her tail cheerfully.

Nick and Vivid didn’t follow them. They saw Vincent and his wives enter the mansion as if it was an attraction. It brought a smile to their faces.

“It’s great that the Lionheart couple is in the same class with Master. I bet Master’s parents will be pleased to know Master isn’t going to be alone.” Vivid told Nick.

Nick smiled and replied, “Yeah, Vincent believes my story, and he is acting naturally around me. It makes me happy to have a friend that treats others no matter the rumors kindly.”

“That is great, Master. I remember when I saw those noble wenches... I mean, noble ladies, mistreat their slaves with my own eyes. I wanted to grab and throw horse dung on their clothes from a distance.” Vivid patted Nick’s shoulder and continued, “But I never thought my third Master would defend slaves.”

“You could call me Nick, you know.” Nick blushed a little after being praised for what he did.

“Nah. I will call you Master. I had a family once, but you are my family now.” Vivid said. He raised his hand and signaled Nick to follow him.

“I will find your family one day. I promise as the next head of the Graymoon family.” Nick promised. But it appeared to have no effect on Vivid as he kept heading to the mansion.

“Fifty-six times I heard this promise, and it is growing old on me.” Vivid tilted his head, swayed his wolf ears, and swung his tail once with force. “I will protect to with all I have, Master. My wife and son, who had their names forgotten because of the slave curse, will return to me one day because I trust you.”

“Even if my parents can’t find them, I will become strong and travel the world to find your family. Vivid, you are like an older brother to me.” Nick got a little sentimental. He wiped his eyes and went to find a room to stay in.

As Nick walked, he looked at the setting sun and promised to do his best after graduating and attaining a title. He wanted to do something better than employing slaves in the Graymoon Auction House as there will soon be a limit to employment and hospitality.

One can not save people if they are not responsible for them, is the motto Nick grew to live up with. He wanted to go up as a responsible noble soon.

The mansion for the five noble students and their servants and their familiars was exactly at the center of the island, which has quite a few protection systems in place.

The island moves gradually and randomly. It is invisible to the outside, and it has a dome-like barrier that activates when it detects an object it is programmed to protect against. It won’t be an invisible island if it becomes visible when it rains or in the fog, to name a few natural common occurrences.

The mansion was made out of wood. However, even if it was surrounded by trees and nature providing the feeling of a forest, it was a luxurious mansion instead of a cabin. Its design was elegant and quaint, an incredible sight to behold.

In the mansion were ten total bedrooms and other various rooms like a living room, a kitchen, and multiple bathrooms. Five bedrooms were decorated with luxury, and the other five had all the basic necessities.

Beside each luxury bedroom meant for a noble was one common bedroom meant for a servant. It allowed the servant to have a bedroom beside their lord or lady. This meant there was one bedroom extra as Jun Ye Rim didn’t have a servant.

The Lionheart family was used to sleeping together. This meant the bedroom was too small for two or three beds beside each other.

[How about you take down the wall? Oh! Wait! You can try storing the wall.]

Vincent did as Kazumi suggested. But an error message appeared instead. It explained how an object in contact with a living being would make the item count as a living being as well.

Vincent didn’t want to give up. He focused his senses while touching the wall, and to their surprise, the wall began turning green one wooden plank at a time.

About fifteen minutes later, the small wall was disassembled and stored in the Soul Dimensional Storage.

[It worked... but how can I put it without hurting your feelings... it was too slow for a small wall like this.]

-I know... but storing one plank at a time took a lot of focus and effort. I had to send a wave-like signal and feel each wooden plank individually because the wall is connected with the mansion.-

Later, they started to move stuff in and out. Well, it was mostly Vincent with his Soul Dimensional Storage.

The Lionheart family had four bedrooms to claim in total. Two were now connected into one while the remaining two remained separate.

In the large connected bedroom were placed a small desk with a stool, a nightstand on each side, and three beds beside each other.

All the wardrobes, mirrors, and a large desk for Lilith’s makeup studio were placed in the servant’s bedroom. This room might be the one the girls were going to spend their time in.

The remaining luxurious bedroom had a bed and any extra desks and nightstands in it. It was a room for peaceful rest or alone time.

After most of the work was done, Vincent remembered the bag of holding given by the old man who registered their attendance. When Vincent shook the bag, and three books fell on the desk, everyone in the bedroom gathered around him with a curious gaze.

“Advanced Healer’s Handbook and Healing Journal written by Hibiscus Delamar.” Vincent gave these two books to Lilith. However, Lilith became nervous all of a sudden. She breathed heavily, and her hands trembled.

“D-d-d-dutchess Hibiscus Delamar! She is the best healer in the Lusterfall Kingdom! H-h-how can this b-be!” Lilith said. She was helped to sit down as the excitement almost made her faint after only reading the title.

[Well, Marquis Darwin Griffinheart is more resourceful than we thought. Then again, he saw Lilith’s Divine Blessing Trait. He might want to help us in the guise of a gift.]

Vincent wanted to make sure Lilith’s excitement wouldn’t be all for nothing. He opened the journal and flipped a few pages.

Vincent and Kazumi were surprised by what they saw.
