Chapter 497

497 So, we meet again

*Gulp* Vincent entered through the imposing VIP room’s door. He stopped for a moment as his eyes feasted on luxury.

The room was well-lit, and the gold decorations further brightened the room. There were gold art frames, a gold chandelier, multiple gold plant pots with beautiful flowers, and gold statues. It made Vincent fearful of breaking something.

There was also a luxurious-looking tea table in the middle and three large sofas for maximum comfort. It was so luxurious that there was no need to read the VIP sign if the door was left open.

Two familiar nobles stood up from the sofa. They were Nick’s parents, Vikki and Victor Graymoon.

“Good day, Lord Vincent Lionheart.” Both said. They extended their hand and offered, “Please take a seat anywhere you like.”

Vikki noticed Sofy standing behind Vincent. “Please sit as well.” He offered.

Sofy recalled what happened when Russo had invited her to sit and how awkward it was when she didn’t accept. Sofy respectfully thanked Vikki and sat beside Vincent.

“Thank you, Vincent, for helping our son. I, as a mother, am happy my son is having a good time in the academy.”

“Yes, I agree, Vikki. I never thought our son would come to like the daughter of the Reddawn family. Furthermore, we received the news about your team’s first victory this morning. He mentioned beating a mage and made another one surrender thanks to your assistance.”

.....

“As a father, I can stand proudly now knowing my son can stand up to others because weak people can’t manage this kind of business.”

When Victor said the last word, the two nobles bowed their heads. It took Vincent, Kazumi, and Sofy by surprise when nobles of the Marquis rank bow their heads to a low-rank noble and a slave.

“Please raise your heads. I feel uncomfortable seeing my friend’s parents act like this.” Vincent said while waving his hands to stop showing so much courtesy.

“But...”

“Words are enough to convey how much you love your son. As a person with deceased parents can see it clear as day how much you care for your son.” Vincent interrupted.

“I understand.” Both said.

[It looks like Nick is blessed with two good parents. They trusted him when there were so many bad rumors about him, and they aren’t prideful when it involves their son.]

“Can we ask a few questions about our son? ” Victor asked. A frown appeared when he continued, “That son of ours thinks words are as heavy as metal.” *Sigh*

Vikki gently caressed Victor’s shoulder and said, “Relax, Victor. Our son isn’t a boy with many words.”

*Sigh* “Yeah. In one whole large letter with two sides empty and ready to be filled by words, our son only writes less than five sentences every time.” Victor revealed out of frustration.

Vikki looked at Vincent and asked, “Could you tell us what has happened recently with our son? As my husband told you, we were only told a short summary of what happened.”

“Short summary? How does “Mother. Father. I have fallen in love with Clair Reddawn. My friend and his wives helped us light a spark in our hearts.” sound like a short summary?” Victor said in a slightly angered voice.

“Ahem. Let me recount what happened.”

Vincent spent some time recounting how he and his wives noticed Nick interested in Clair. At that time, Clair was afraid of him because of the rumors.

Vincent continued how they tried to let Clair know how the rumors were overblown, and Nick did what he did to provide justice in his own way. After confessing indirectly and later saving Clair from a noble, Clair doesn’t mind Nick’s presence.

Vincent concluded how he gave Clair a recipe page and suggested Nick go and help her. Additionally, Vincent suggested confessing his feelings to Clair. Fortunately, both their feeling were revealed to be mutual, or Nick might be devastated for weeks.

Vincent continued with the ranking match and how Nick became interested in becoming stronger.

Vincent however didn’t mention the suffering Nick has to go through with Lupa. Sparring with Lupa is more about giving her a fun time and learning to survive fighting against a wild beast.

[Vincent. Now is the best time to tell Nick’s parents about the summer crops in your possession. We spent over ninety silver worth of fruits and vegetables. I hope we can earn a good profit after eating some of them.]

“Sorry to change the subject, but I wish to sell a large number of summer crops. About ninety percent or more are in fresh condition.” Vincent summoned a couple of the vegetables and fruits he wanted to sell and continued, “They can be sold together as a lot since there are a lot of them.”

Vikki and Victor took out an inspection gemstone from their bag of holding and examined their condition. Both became surprised to see a summer crop as fresh as if it was freshly picked.

“Can we know how these off-season crops are fresh? Do you have a supplier, or did you import them from another kingdom?” Victor curiously asked.

[I think it is okay to tell Nick’s parents some parts of Soul Dimensional Storage.]

-Are you sure?-

[Yeah. It is better than lying about having a supplier. They might want to make a deal with the supplier we invent, and we can’t acquire more summer crops at the moment.]

Vincent understood what Kazumi was thinking about. He decided to follow her suggestion and explained, “I have a special soul-bound bag of holding, and it can keep the condition of a stored item for up to four months. I purchased these in August, and November is the last month they can remain fresh.”

Vikki and Victor became astonished to hear about such an advantageous soul-bound bag of holding. They leaned their heads and whispered something in each other’s ears.

“We normally charge a ten percent from any sold item, but as thanks for all you did to our family, we decided not to charge you today. ” Victor stated.

Victor clapped his hands, and the elf attendant entered. “Bring the new girl to take our VIP guests to the product assortment room and later to the VIP balcony room.”

Best

“At once, my master.” The elf attendant said before leaving.

Vincent stood up and summoned his robe. After wearing the robe and fastening the fabrics on his waist, Vincent summoned the identity tag Feng Mengli had given him and tied it to his waist.

Vincent removed the hair tie and let his hair fall down. He summoned the mask and wore it. Vincent now looked like a different person.

“I will be going with the alias Beckly since I am an academy student.” Vincent requested.

“We have no problem Vin... I mean Beckly. The money will be on your alias’s name too.” Victor said.

*Knock, knock* “We have arrived.”

“It was nice meeting you. ” Vincent said with his hand extended. After he shook both Nick’s parent’s hands, Vincent and Sofy exited the room.

Beside the elf attendant with a confused expression was a maid wearing an alluring smile and a salve curse tattoo on her neck.

However, it didn’t take long for Vincent and Kazumi to realize it was the Adventurers Guild’s lustful receptionist. The same one, Vincent, Ester, and Lupa, wanted revenge for telling them to go to a love inn.

The maid gently asked for Beckly and Sofy to follow her. While they were walking to the next destination, the maid seductively swayed her hips.

‘I want to slap her ass with my hand or the whip I brought in case of an emergency. But I do not want to cause trouble, so I will not act rashly. Regardless, she will not seduce Vincent before me!’ Sofy thought while trying her best not to slap that ass hard.

[No wonder we couldn’t find her anywhere. She became a slave. But why is she walking the that irritating manner?]

-Yeah. Looks like karma paid her a visit.-

Shortly, they entered a room where Vincent could register the items he wanted to sell. Afterward, he was given a recipet with his alias’s name.

Later, the maid took them to the next floor. She stopped in front of a door. “My lord, we have arrived.” She said with an alluring smile.

Vincent entered, and he became nervous again because the VIP balcony room was filled with pricy decorations. Vincent and Sofy sat on a comfortable sofa while their eyes looked at the lavish decorations.

The maid went over to a large red curtain. She opened it and placed one chair and a light gemstone on the balcony.

“My lord can use the balcony now.” She said with an alluring smile.

Vincent and Sofy went to check the view. They found themselves high above the people gathering in the auction plaza. The view was so impressive that Vincent felt like a wealthy man while Sofy momentarily forgot she was a slave with nothing to her name.

“My lord, I am your personal maid for today. I can bring refreshments if my lord desires.” The maid said.

‘It’s better if I don’t drink. I don’t want to go to the bathroom in this disguise and meet with someone I know.’ Vincent decided.

Vincent placed his hands behind his back and acted with poise. “This honorable one does not require any beverage. You may leave this one’s presence.”

The maid peeked at Sofy. “I’m sorry, my lord, for not meeting your standards.” She lowed to her knees and continued, “I wish to serve my lord in any way he desires. Please do not ask me to leave my lord alone. I will feel heartbroken knowing my lord isn’t receiving a good service.
