CH 65

Although I only remember it vaguely, my father left me when I was in the first year of elementary school.

Until then, I think he had probably been a kind father to me and would often play with me.

However, he suddenly disappeared from my eyes on a certain day.

As for my mother, I can’t thank her enough. She took care of me and raised me with great trouble.

However, since she had to work for our living, she hardly had any time to see me. Those were pretty harsh times for me, who was still an elementary schooler at that time.

I think my mother, when I was young, was a kind person who laughed frequently.

“ “Beep Beep” ”

“Sure enough, New Year is busy, isn’t it?”

“Well, New Year has nothing to do with monsters after all. In addition, most people take a break around this time.”

“I guess so. I bet the balance between supply and demand must be a mess during New Year.”

“I also think what you are saying is true, but why are you saying it like that?”

“Ahh, sorry. But there is no particular meaning in it. More importantly, let’s get ready and go quickly.”

“Understood.”

As soon as we finished our preparations, we straddled our racing bicycles and headed to the scene.

I don’t have anyone who will give me a New Year’s gift. So, it can be said that this subjugation request is my New Year’s gift in a certain sense.

“I am glad that it didn’t snow this year. Otherwise, we would be having a hard time riding our bicycles.”

Indeed, it didn’t even snow once this year. I would like it if it snowed once or twice every year, but it is also true that snow is an archenemy to bicycles.

My new bicycle tires may have anti-slip properties to a certain degree, but they will probably become useless on the snow.
