In the end, we ended up defeating five D-ranks and three E-ranks due to the enemy’s reinforcement.

“So, what should we do regarding the distribution of magic stones?”

Since we don’t have the right number of magic stones to equally distribute between the three parties, it is necessary to discuss the ratio.

“Let’s see, how about Yamaoki-kun’s party get three D-rank and three E-rank magic stones, and Aidani-kun’s party and we get one D-rank magic stone each?”

“Yes, that’s fine for us.”

“Eh? But wouldn’t that be leaving too many magic stones for us?”

“No, or rather, it should be us who are getting too much. In the first place, three of them are undoubtedly credited to Yamaoki-kun’s party alone. Moreover, you also helped us in defeating the remaining two.”

I picked up our share of six magic stones and parted ways with the other two parties. After that, Aoi and I set out on the way home together. While we were parting ways, Aidani-senpai and Higashima-senpai told me that they really wanted to exchange contact information. So, we exchanged our survivor IDs, provided by the contact system of the survivor terminal, including Aoi.

Until now, Aoi was the only person whose contact information I’d had, so the number of my contacts tripled in one go. When I checked my terminal after arriving at my room, there were two “thank you for today” messages from both seniors, so I likewise replied to them.

“They are nice people.”

“Yes, I agree.”

“Since we are from the same school, we might meet them again.”

“Perhaps, we have already met them before, and we didn’t just notice it.”

“You have a point. It is also possible that we might meet them again surprisingly soon.”

Until now, I’ve been using my survivor terminal only for subjugation requests, so it feels weird to use it as a communication tool. Nevertheless, I was happy for some reason.

In the end, our monster subjugations continued every day until January 5th, and my money accumulated beyond expectation to an extent that it could be called a little too much for the New Year’s gift.

I was able to experience various things thanks to Aoi, and this winter vacation was the most enjoyable time I’d ever had.

During summer vacation, the me at the time didn’t really want to go back to school after vacation. However, now that the winter vacation is over, I am instead looking forward to school, which is starting tomorrow, although only a little.

It feels like I’ve changed a little during this winter vacation. And surprisingly, I don’t feel bad about it.

I wish I could move forward little by little from now on.
