Meanwhile.

The dried dirt covered Luce Eltania’s rose-gold hair and the school uniform she was wearing.

She calmed herself in front of the bizarre-looking demon – a man wearing a loose tunic and navy blue suit, standing like a statue.

A body with many small muscles and gray skin, and both his eyes were tightly closed.

With one hand under his chin and his head slightly bowed, he looked like he was contemplating.

[Hmm-, Hmm-, Hmm-, Hmm-, Hhm-, Hhm-, Hhm-, Hhm-, Hhm-, Hhm-, Hm-.]

From a while ago, the constant buzzing sound resonated in Luce’s head.

Ian Fairy Tail, who fought with that strange demon, was losing his consciousness.

“You’re gonna die.”

Luce lightly waved her arm and poured out her mana.

Then, a magic circle that emitted blue light was formed under the demon’s feet, and hot water quickly gushed out.

「Geyser (Water Attribute, ★4)」

────Poooooooo!!

The sight of the demon avoiding Luce’s magic with graceful movements did not match with his stiff appearance.

Even during the evasive action, he was still contemplating.

The hot fountain soared powerfully as if it would pierce the sky.

He knew how to avoid it. The angle was deliberately adjusted.

Luce had guided the demon to a place to escape and had activated magic there as well.

「Seawater Prison (Water Attribute, ★4)」

In an instant, a round [Seawater Prison] made of water appeared and imprisoned the demon and it started freezing rapidly.

Cracking —————

[Hmm—, hmm—, hmm—, hmm—, hmm—, hmm—, hmm—.]

But the demons casually broke the frozen [Seawater Prison] and got out.

“My water magic alone is not enough…”

Luce monologued in a voice as serene as moonlight.

Ice magic was enough to instantly freeze and incapacitate [Seawater Prison]. It was proof that the demons’ Ice magic proficiency and [Elemental Synergy] were very good.

That demon was so strong that Luce’s water magic alone couldn’t deal with it.

[Hmm! Hmm! Hmm! Hmm! Hmm! Hmm! Hmm! Hmm! Hmm! Hmm!]

Suddenly, the demons began to groan loudly, and behind him, a large light blue magic circle formed. Ice crystals floated elegantly around the magic circle.

In Luce’s head, an alarm went off. This is dangerous-.

As he suddenly took a step forward, the ground began to freeze from the tips of his toes.

Charaaaaaaaaaaaa———!!

The cold air rose like a blizzard, quickly spreading along the ground in the shape of a fan, while the area through which the cold air passed froze and became a smooth sheet of ice.

────────「Cold Winter Wave (Ice Attribute, ★6 )」

Luce hurriedly deployed a [Water Wall], a water-attribute defense magic, around herself. A circular water barrier formed and began to protect her.

「Water Wall (Water Attribute, ★4)」

“Ugh!”

The cold air rushed in, attempting to freeze the water barrier that surrounded Luce.

She countered the cooling by releasing her mana with all her might, accelerating the flow of water that formed the [Water Wall].

The cold air passed through the [Water Wall] and transformed the forest behind it into an ice-age landscape.

The [Cold Winter Wave] eventually lost momentum and calmed down.

Luce breathed a white breath in the cold chill and released the [Water Wall].

“…… ”

She inhaled deeply and scanned the demon with her blue ocean eyes.

Her water elemental magic won’t be able to defeat that demon on its own.

Her most powerful ability was ‘Lightning’ magic and she was certain that if she used that elemental magic, she would win even if she was against using it.

But… in order to use lightning magic properly, she will have to summon something that shouldn’t be called. One-half of her mana was always used to keep ‘that guy’ at bay.

Luce rolled up the sleeves of her school uniform and looked down at the magic circle engraved on her left wrist.

If I summon ‘that guy’, I can definitely defeat this gray-skinned demon.

But… ‘that guy’ is a double-edged sword. I don’t know if I can control it yet.

But, she had become much stronger, to the extent that she entered the prestigious Marchen Academy’s Department of Magic at the top of her class. Even her magical power was rated A+.

‘Gaul…’

She may be able to control it now.

“Haa.”

Her heart throbbed.

After taking a deep breath in the tension and calming her emotions, Luce finally made up her mind

An 8-star evil, ‘Thunderbird- Gaul’. Let’s summon the guy.

Just then, when Luce tried chanting the summoning spell with her index and middle fingers pointing to the magic circle engraved on her wrist –

Chin-.

-she heard the sound of footsteps. Although it might have been an illusion, it seemed to have been made with the intention of being heard.

Luce turned her head towards the sound.

On the surrounding low cliffs, a man stood – a man in a navy blue hooded coat. His entire body was toned, and he appeared to be 2m tall.

The inside of the worn-down hood revealed round, bloody red eyes. Below that, his mouth appeared to be quite large.

Exposed gums. The large, sharp teeth were neatly aligned, and the jutting canines and molars were especially terrifying.

Because of the worn-down hood, it was difficult to tell, but he seemed to have pitch-black skin.

[Grrrrrrrr······]

It was like a beast.

She never thought another dangerous-looking monster would emerge from here…

Now she really had no choice but to summon the Thunderbird- Gaul.

“…… ?”

But why?

The monster standing on the cliff’s eyes were not on Luce, but on the gray-skinned demon.

The demons also stopped thinking and stared at the monster on the cliff with both eyes raised. It was clearly a guarded attitude.

For some reason… the atmosphere seemed like the monsters were trying to fight.

━─━─━━─━「₪」━━─━─━─━

I think I bought the wrong clothes.

I didn’t have any choice. I just bought the one that the owner of the secret shop said had one left, but it was ‘Magic Camouflage Costume – Berserker’…

I was now dressed in an ultramarine hooded coat with the hood pulled down. I wore a mask with sharp teeth, large fangs, and molars neatly lined up at the corners of my mouth. It was all magic camouflage.

To me, it just looks to me as usual. But to others, I’ll look like a big monster. Standing on the cliff’s edge I looked to and fro between Luce and the demon, but Luce’s expressions were unusual.

It was a reasonable reaction. Now, my appearance must be that of a terrifying monster itself…

‘But Ian, he passed out again.’

{T/N:- tsk tsk…whatta pathetic protagonist}

Ian was passed out, leaning against a tree.

This made it clear that I can’t trust Ian in this game.

Moreover, Luce seemed to be on the verge of summoning the Thunderbird- Gaul.

If I was even a little late, I could have been in big trouble…

“That’s a relief···” (Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr)

I breathed a sigh of relief.

At the time of the monologue, I heard a gurgling sound. Like the cry of an animal. It sounded like a Berserker cry coming out of my mouth.

…I’m about to be misunderstood as a demon too.

Anyway, I succeeded in getting here.

What I had to do now was clear –

[Pernicus of Contemplation]

Level: 105

Race: Demon

Attribute: Dark, Ice

Risk Level: High

– i.e. kill that demon and stop the bad ending.
