Chapter 199

199 Prime Minister Ikeda’s secret

In a spacious office with several artifacts from old earth, a man sat cross-legged staring at the floating screen in front of him.

With both his hands resting on top of each other, on his lap, he listened to the man seriously. On the floating screen, there was a shadowy outline of a man sitting in a very dark office with only a thin line of light rays passing the gap in the walls.

“The job you commissioned is especially difficult considering that they are on a run-down planet,” said the man before blowing a puff of smoke making the video call a little hazy.

Prime minister Ikeda chuckled before saying, “Funds aren’t a problem. Since I don’t have any hope of uniting with them in marriage to attain control of the military and Hydra then it’s a much better option to cut down his heir.”

“With no one to take over after his death, I will decommission them and absorb them into the rightfully elected government. You just have to do your part well.”

The man lowered his cigar as a wisp of smoke rose like a stream of water defying gravity and then asked, “What about the Zi kid?”

Prime minister Ikeda snorted as his hand moved to the armrest. Tapping the armrest with his fingers he said, “Dark star is indeed a dangerous planet. Make it look like he was a casualty of war.”

“If I do this that crazy woman won’t stop till she finds me,” said the man in the shadows.

“I will increase the payment to the kind of money that will help you disappear,” said the prime minister his expression serious, “Do we have a deal?”

.....

“Mn, I will keep in touch,” said the man before the floating screen vanished.

The prime minister leaned forward placing his elbows on the table. Rubbing his upper lip with his index finger he opened a secret folder and a picture of a handsome young man wearing a phoenix pendant while smiling at the camera appeared.

“Why did you have to refuse me?.... You wouldn’t have died such a tragic death if you had just accepted me. I will make them pay starting with that bitch who failed to protect you but dared to threaten me. I hope that will make you happy,” he said staring at the picture with a doting gaze.

This was the real sacrifice he meant. In order to take over the Ikeda family and assume the position of the prime minister he had to sacrifice his true love so he could support them but what happened in the end?

He was rejected and forced to be with a woman he never loved. In his fury, he dealt with her and she died in a tragic accident and then married his secretary who was already pregnant with Crest.

He had a complicated love history but his heart could never get over this person. He wanted to avenge his death thus he always wanted Zi Xingxi’s head. Since he couldn’t get to her he could only come after what she valued most.

He minimized the image and slowly got up before standing in front of a wall. The wall glowed before breaking into hexagon shapes like hives revealing a secret room.

Zi Xingxi always wondered where her husband’s things went after the royal palace was burnt to the ground. Well, the answer to that question was in the prime minister’s secret room.

Be it his royal attire, his crown, his most valued watch passed down from generation to generation, e.t.c. it was all in there and treated with care in glass casings like a display in a museum.

When everyone treated him like trash being that his mother was impregnated due to assault, the prince was the only one who was willing to talk to him.

Everyone including his mother hated him. His mother even pushed him down in the bathtub to drown him. But when his entire family turned their backs on him a knight in shining armor reached out and showed him kindness.

At some point his gratitude turned to love but who would have thought when he opened up he would still get rejected with a pat on the shoulder?

Even when he was down and the ship was sinking he never accepted his help. The pain in his eyes was apparent as he placed his hand on the glass display in front of the crown.

“I will avenge you and kill everyone who failed you,” he whispered before taking a step back his eyes bloodshot.

Meanwhile, Zi Han was looking at the cabin number on his light brain with slight annoyance. He glanced back at these so-called teammates of his and suddenly felt a headache.

For the next twenty-four hours, he was forced to stay with his teammates in a ten people dorm. It was meant to build up team momentum or something but Zi Han didn’t want to be there in the first place.

Evan smiled at him and said, “Cabin two hundred and ten. That’s not bad,” trying to at least include him in the conversation.

Zi Han pressed the tip of his tongue against his cheek as he looked down at the cabin number again suppressing something.

“I will save you a spot near the captain’s bed,” said Crvena devoid of his previous mockery like he was really trying to be nice to him.

???????????????? ???????????????????????????? ???????????????????????? ???????????????????? ???????? ????????????????????-????????????.????????????

Zi Han looked at Shorty and Shaun as though asking can I sleep over but before he could say anything someone tugged him from behind.

When he turned around he saw that girl who confessed to him before. The one he bought the shark from. Zi Han was a little surprised to see her thus he asked, “What are you doing here.”

She smiled happily knowing that Zi Han remembered her. She pointed at Evan and said, “I am part of Evan’s team.”

Zi Han realized this was indeed possible. The team leaders were all from class one and their team members reached twenty max with both boys and girls from their class and other classes as well.

He just didn’t think she would be on his team. “I am looking forward to working with you Oppa,” she said her voice melodious like an angel’s.

Zi Han’s eyes widened in shock and he couldn’t react for a while. This delay in response time led those who didn’t know the situation to ohh and wow for no good reason.

Zi Han didn’t even have time to say anything when his back felt a chill that ran down his spine making his blood run cold.

He turned to glance back but his shoulder was suddenly hooked from behind and he was wordlessly dragged away.

The silver-haired girl clenched her hand that was still hanging midair as she bit her lip in frustration.

“Agila is it?” asked Shorty and she nodded her head so he continued, “I hope you can move on soon. He is really not interested. You will only end up hurting yourself.”
