343 The beginning of the end

“Do you want to take it off?” asked Yi Chen his heart panicking a little.

Zi Han raised his foot from underneath the water and replied, “You wish. I have already said I love you so you belong to me now.”

Yi Chen lowered his head as a quirk appeared at the corner of his lips. This is what he wanted. He belong to Zi Han and Zi Han belonged to him. The only thing left was for him to share the news with the entire federation so they can stop coveting his sweetheart.

“Is it sore down there?” asked Yi Chen and Zi Han gulped down the rest of the glass of champagne while shaking his head.

“I want to give you something after this. It’s something very special to me,” said Yi Chen and Zi Han started guessing all the way until they lay back down in bed with freshly washed sheets.

Zi Han poked his chest reminding him about the said gift. Yi Chen who was sniffing the fragrance of lemon citrus in Zi Han’s hair sat up before pulling out that familiar box.

Zi Han had always been curious about what was inside so he accepted it before getting up and straddling Yi Chen.

“Let me see. What could it be?” said Zi Han as Yi Chen rested his arms on the back of his (Yi Chen’s) head. Zi Han was already guessing it was a watch and he was right. It was a watch but this one was a rare vintage watch from old earth and Yi Chen was gifting it to him.

Zi Han stared at the watch his heartbeat erratic. “Chen-ge, do you know how much this is.... You do realize how much this thing is worth. I can’t even trade half of Iggy to buy it. It’s.... ah fuck,” whispered Zi Han his voice getting lower and brittle the more he spoke.

“It was my grandfather’s and he passed it down to me. I want you to have it,” said Yi Chen as he sat up to wipe Zi Han’s tear at the corner of his eye.

He took the watch from his hand and unbuckled the strap before putting it on Zi Han’s wrist. While doing so he said, “You can take it as part of a wedding gift from your husband.... I love you and I want to spend the rest of my life with you.”

Zi Han looked at his wrist admiringly and his heart melted into a puddle. He placed both his palms on Yi Chen’s cheeks and kissed him tenderly.

“I love it. Thank you,” he said as he embraced Yi Chen tightly. The two of them hugged for a very long time with pink bubbles flying around them.

The repeated sounds of a light brain buzzing woke Zi Han up. He rubbed his eyes as he turned over further burying himself into Yi Chen’s chest but the buzzing just wouldn’t stop.

He didn’t want Yi Chen to get woken up by the buzzing thus he picked up his light brain as he sat up slowly. His body felt sore all over despite having taken a bath after having been tossed around by his lover.

Well, much of it was his fault. He was like an insatiable vixen begging to be filled over and over again. Zi Han pulled away the quilt but before he could get off the bed Yi Chen embraced him even tighter and asked in his sleep, “Where are you going?”

Zi Han kissed his temple before reassuring him. “Be good. I am going to the bathroom,” he said before Yi Chen loosened his hand and let him go.

Zi Han entered the bathroom and stared at his face in the mirror. His bottom lip had a small nick and was slightly swollen. But there weren’t as bad as his nipples. They had definitely been bitten and it was especially sensitive.

Zi Han cursed under his breath but before he could greet Yi Chen’s ancestors with his colorful words the light brain buzzed again. He swiped his light brain open and when he saw it was prime minister Ikeda’s mysterious contact again he became very irritable.

He was about to blacklist him again when a series of videos came in one after the other. Zi Han squinted his eyes as he sat down at the edge of the bathtub. He squeezed his bottom lip with his fingers contemplating whether he should open them or not.

Zi Han’s finger hovered above the first video but before he pressed it he rubbed the back of his head. He finally decided to open it and that was the worst decision he had ever made.

The more he watched the tighter he clenched his jaw and his eyes instantly became bloodshot. He opened the next one and the next one but things only got worse.

His chest rose and fell violently as he paced in the bathroom for a while. He couldn’t even finish the last one. He left the bathroom making sure to make as little noise as possible.

He kissed Yi Chen’s cheek before leaving the base early morning. While he was flying Iggy towards the city he called Li Ran.

“What’s up,” asked Li Ran as he moved his hand from Hela’s waist.

“I have an emergency. May you please go to the base and watch Yi Chen for me,” said Zi Han, and Li Ran who thought he could wake up and make breakfast for Hela was a little unhappy.

“Wait Zi Ha-,” he said only for the call to end immediately. Li Ran knew Yi Chen wasn’t fully recovered and needed someone to watch over him thus he had no choice but to leave.

Igneous was a little worried thus it asked, “Sir, are you okay?”

“Dock on the warship. Is my grandfather still there?” he asked and Igneous didn’t ask anymore. This face and those eyes were very familiar. It was better to just keep its mouth shut.

“Yes sir, he is still there,” replied Igneous.

Zi Han reached the warship and instead of looking for his mother or grandfather he went straight into the weapons room looking for something.

At first, he couldn’t find it and had to check the logs. Because this weapon was vintage and rarely used it wasn’t kept anywhere easily visible. It was in a secure vault at the end of the weapons room. The only problem was whether he had access or not.
