388 Ohhh someone is jealous

Zi Han didn’t mind that. What was one more friend, right? It seemed that Zi Han needed some advice from girls. Girls know that if a guy tries to ask you out and fails or if they already see you won’t be an easy target they resort to saying, ‘Maybe I can be your friend?’

That’s because a direct route would have failed and they would be seeking another long route that can at least guarantee a favourable result thus unless interested it’s best to reject that offer.

Zi Han was clueless of course. He simply nodded his head while reading Yi Chen’s message.

Unknown: Are you ignoring me?

Zi Han suddenly felt panicked. He got distracted just now trying to come to an agreement with Raya thus he didn’t reply quickly enough.

Unknown2: I told you. I am at the drunken beagle on a blind date.

Yi Chen who had been two blocks over waiting for Zi Han read this and his heart sank. What blind date? He did mention the drunken beagle just not the blind date. Yi Chen felt like he was stabbed right in the gut. His heart which had just somewhat mended snapped into pieces and that darkness from before began to consume him.

It was the very same darkness that one tries to hide from their family when they get home. They put on a poker face when they get home knowing full well they are dying inside from the excruciating pain.

But when the lights go off, they would lose their composure while crying into a soft pillow trying to keep their breathing even, afraid that someone else would hear them.

Yi Chen drowned in the same feeling and it didn’t feel good at all. It was invading his heart and lungs affecting his breathing. His eyes which were beaming just now instantly became dull.

The demon inside of him stiffened up and his eyes flashed with a morbid feeling that was very difficult to discern. He got into the hovercar and drove over to the drunken beagle. His light brain kept buzzing but he didn’t care to check it.

He had completely lost his rationality at this point and his mind was clouded by a dark fog which meant he couldn’t think straight.

Zi Han understood how his message could be misunderstood thus he sent several other messages explaining himself. They were indeed delivered but they weren’t read. Zi Han was getting a little anxious thus he decided to leave and find Yi Chen. At this point, he could care less. If anyone tried to stop him he would just kick their ass. Of course, his mother would come after him later but he could deal with the consequences then.

Just as Zi Han was about to leave the door was suddenly opened and a tall figure with an overbearing aura walked in. The entire drunken beagle fell silent and glanced in the direction of the door.

Everyone who was anyone in the Bloodgarde knew exactly who that was but what he was doing here was a mystery. From the look on his face, he was most definitely here to pick a fight and the patriots in the bar wouldn’t shy away from it.

Tensions between the army and the Bloodgarde were extremely high lately and it was getting worse by the day. Now the future leader of the military just waltzed into the bar with no backup at all.

Zi Han had one foot out of the booth and he was about to leave when he met Yi Chen’s fiery gaze.

“Oh shit,” he swore under his breath. This was very unexpected. How does one deal with this kind of situation? Yi Chen probably thought that the top of his head was very green right now (being cheated on a.k.a wearing a green hat).

Yi Chen walked over to him in two strides but his path was suddenly blocked as the men and women in this bar drew their guns and aimed them at him.

Hyun snapped her finger and one of the bartenders brought over a bar stool. She climbed on it and pointed at him with her pocket knife. With a click, it opened and she said,

“Take one more step and I swear I will cut you. I will gut you like a fish.”

Yi Chen was still furious his chest rising and falling rapidly. He glanced at Zi Han his expression translating to ‘are you going to fix this or should I?’

Zi Han snapped out of his trance and got up while saying, “Everybody stand down. He is a... friend.”

“A friend?” said Yi Chen who wasn’t too happy about being demoted to friend status after so many years of dating.

“Friend... ha,” said Raya but boy, was he on cloud nine. Handsome men were raining down from the sky today. Zi Han was a total hunk and this guy... this guy was a yes yes yes a million times yes.

He suddenly touched his hot cheeks trying to cool himself down. Was he being too greedy simping over two guys at once?

AN: If you ask me, I don’t blame him. Hehe...

“Fiance, not friend,” said Yi Chen through gritted teeth.

“Oh, everybody stand down. He is family,” said Hyun and everyone withdrew their weapons.

They would like to know how their leader’s son hooked up with the future Marshal but it was none of their business anyway. It was Zi Xingxi’s business.

Hyun patted his cheek and said, “Welcome to the family. Your hair is too long though. I will give you a haircut.”

After Hyun left Zi Han opened his mouth to explain but Raya had to speak first.

“Han-ge, aren’t you going to introduce us?” said Raya showing googly eyes at Yi Chen but Yi Chen didn’t even notice that. He was more concerned about what he called Zi Han.

“What did you just call him?” he asked his aura a hundred times more terrifying than usual.

Raya, “...”

“I dare you to repeat it,” he said his foot moving forward. To be honest he looked like he was ready to beat the shit out of him.

Zi Han had to stand in front of him to calm him down but of course, that was misunderstood.

“Baby, calm down,” said Zi Han and Yi Chen ran with it.

“What? So now you are protecting him?” he said trying to move around and get to that long-haired hippy.

Zi Han, “...”

“I am not protecting him. I am trying to calm you down. Did you even read any of my messages?” he said only for Yi Chen to pick him up and haul him over his shoulder.

“If you so much as look at him again I will gouge your eyes out,” said Yi Chen before knocking over the glass on the table and spilling it on Raya’s pants.

After that, he walked right out of the bar with his bride and nobody stopped him.

Zi Han, “What the fuck just happened?”
