Chapter 549 - 549 "You don’t expect me to eat that, right?"

549 “You don’t expect me to eat that, right?”

They cut them up into pieces and started off with Doctor Kiet’s dry and crusty T-bone and everyone’s expressions were unsightly.

“You don’t expect me to eat that, right?” said cousin Lin his stomach already churning.

“Nobody should have to eat such a thing. Are you trying to poison us?” said uncle Lin looking like he was about to vomit. This kind of thing was the type to wreck someone’s taste buds and none of them were willing to risk it.

The only brave one among them was Yi Feng. He took a piece while Zi Han said, “I feel sorry for the cow that had to make this sacrifice.”

Yi Feng ate it with a smile like it was the best thing he had ever eaten in his life.

“See this is why you are disqualified,” said Grandpa Lin while pointing at Yi Feng who was giving an okay gesture at his boyfriend.

“How about mine?” asked Yi Zhen and Yi Feng who had just swallowed the driest piece of meat said,

“It looks like it just came from the slaughterhouse. It’s still bleeding,” he said and he wasn’t lying. It was dripping so much blood that only vampires would eat it. It was definitely undercooked and all of them might for sick. Even if it was premium enough to be served as beef carpaccio, none of them were willing to take the risk.

“Nope.”

.....

“Uh-huh.”

“You should stick to mech and staff because grilling isn’t your thing.”

They weren’t polite about it at all. Yi Zhen also knew it was terrible. Now he felt like he shouldn’t have talked smack before because it was very embarrassing.

“At least someone ate mine. You on the other hand” said Doctor Kiet not even caring that this man was his superior, well, technically his superior.

“You!....” he yelled but when he realised he was telling the truth he couldn’t even think of a comeback.

“So we all agree that that shit looks nasty, right?”

“Yep.”

“Most definitely.”

“I agree.”

“Next.”

Grandpa Lin presented his masterpiece like it was a treasure and passed the plate around for all of them to pick a piece.

“Bon appetit,” he said quite confident in his craft and he wasn’t just bragging. It was really good.

Seeing their eyes squinting with an approved smile he said, “Of course, I am good at this. How do you think I won my sweetheart’s heart? I lured her in with my cooking and trapped her.”

Uncle Lin felt like gagging hearing this. He was always the third wheel on this planet.

“Not bad. Sorry, grandpa. I just had to say it,” said Zi Han his taste buds tingling in excitement.

“You see, this one is a traitor. Unlike him I will stick by you so you should at least be nicer to me,” said Yeoh Jun and Grandpa Zi humphed before saying,

“Cleanse your palate, I don’t want him to take credit for my masterpiece.”

“How do you even do that? Will a beer work?” asked Yeoh Jun and Zi Feiji gave him the same look he gives Zi Han when he was acting silly.

After a couple of sips they tried Masterchef Zi’s T-bone and boy was it delicious. It was completely out of this world and made one’s heart tingle with joy.

“Wow... this is divine. I feel guilty eating it,” said cousin Lin with a look of contentment on his face.

“Amazing as always dad ow,” said Yeoh Jun before his hand was smacked away when he tried to eat the rest of it.

“I vote for gramps. My taste buds are in seventh heaven. Anyone else,” said Zi Han and the hands went up one by one.

Yi Feng also raised his hand and Doctor Kiet looked at him as though he was injured.

“I am sorry honey. I will compensate you later,” he said and Doctor Kiet smiled like he had won the competition. It seemed losing also had its benefits.

“It’s been decided, grandpa Zi is the best person to touch the meat today and if any of us do we might poison people,” said uncle Lin effectively passing on the chore that was initially meant for him.

“Yeah, nice try kid. You still have to take over the grill,” said Granpa Lin while patting the back of his neck and he almost stumbled forward.

“What did I miss?” said a voice that had been missing in the crowd.

Zi Han’s eyes beamed so bright that he couldn’t see anyone else but him. Under everyone’s gazes, Zi Han ran past all of them and literally jumped into Yi Chen’s arms with his legs wrapping around the young man’s waist and hips.

“Okayyyyy,” said Uncle Lin a little jealous of his nephew. The only living thing that gets that excited to see him was his cat that is if it wanted something.

“It only gets worse from here so I suggest you prepare yourselves,” said Zi Feiji warning everybody in advance. His grandson was like a different person when they were together.

It wasn’t his personality that changed but he became as sticky and sweet as taffy. Forget serving his Grandpa first. If he wanted water he would give Yi Chen first then grandpa. Even his own mother was sidelined so yes he had to warn everybody.

Zi Han didn’t disappoint. He kissed Yi Chen’s entire face to the point that the young man almost staggered.

“Baby... babe... babe,” said Yi Chen pausing in between because he had been kissed with a loud mwah.

It was like;

“Baby....”

“Mwah...”

Babe....”

“Mwah...”

“Babe, everybody is watching,” he finally said and Zi Han reluctantly stopped.

“Never mind us. We are invisible,” said cousin Lin and with a click, he took a picture. This was worth posting. Instead of saying something about his relative finding love his caption was,

“Single man looking for a lover who would rush over to me like this whenever they see me. DM me if you are single and interested. PS gender isn’t important.

PPS they should be serious. No hookups.”

Five minutes later the back door was opened with a bang and a stout auntie with gorgeous hot pink hair yelled,

“Leo Gabriel Lin! What possessed you to make this post!”

Cousin Lin, “...”

“Oh shit. Got to go,” he said and ran to the beach.

“You better run young man! When I catch you you are dead!” she yelled before running after him with a rolling pin.

Everyone had a look on their faces that seemed to say, “Stay out of it.”
