CH 6

After leaving the pub and walking for a bit, we arrived at the apartment where Mitoma-san lives. It wasn’t particularly fancy and looked like the kind of apartment a normal university student would live in, but it was probably new and a little more fresh-looking than my run-down apartment. Even so, the rent would probably be around 40,000 or 50,000 yen, so it’s reasonably priced.

“Wow, my place is really close to here,” I said.

“Is it?” Mitoma-san asked.

“Yeah, see that convenience store over there? My place is on the other side of that store. I was thinking that maybe our paths would cross when we headed home, but I never imagined it would be this close,” I said.

“Well, I did have my eye on this location,” Mitoma-san said with a chuckle.

“Really?” I asked.

“Oh, it’s nothing. Just a coincidence, I suppose,” Is what she said, but the last part was faintly audible to me.

“Haha… But don’t you mind that I am living so close to your place?”

“Not at all! In fact, I’m really happy about it. It’s the best!” Mitoma-san said, smiling and tightly gripping her hands together.

She looked charming when she said those words, it wouldn’t be a surprise if other guys fell for her.

“That’s good… Well, if you ever need anything or don’t understand something, just let me know.”

“Okay!” Mritoma-san replied cheerfully.

Hearing her energetic response made me feel a little better. I would have been pretty hurt if she had said that she didn’t like it. We reached the front door of the apartment building and headed up on the stairs to her apartment.

“Senpai, is something wrong?”

“No, I am just a little nervous,”

“Fufu~ You’re cute that way.”

She replied with a playful grin on her face, but in reality, I am nervous about entering my kouhai’s house. I don’t have any strange feelings and I’ve been into a girl’s house before.

It’s just that the phrase ‘a girl I haven’t seen in a while’s house’ and the feeling of anticipation that something might be wrong made me feel excited and a little nervous.

“Well…”

I rubbed the back of my head and smiled wryly, then suddenly Mitoma-san hugged my arm and said while she looked up at me,

“I don’t have any bad intentions, so it’s okay.”

“Thank you…”

I felt really relieved when she said those words. She was being so considerate of me, that part of her was so cute, that I unconsciously smiled.

When we reached her room, she opened the door for me .

I followed her tracks and while entering I said, “Sorry for the sudden intrusion,”

“Please, come in.”

And so I entered her apartment room.

When I entered the room, a fruity smell tickled my nostrils signifying that this was  a girl’s room.

“Oh, I don’t have slippers or anything right now, so… I’m sorry,”

She bowed her head apologetically. I was not particularly bothered by it, so I said “It’s okay.”

“Hehe~ I’m sorry for being so messy.”

“No, no, I don’t have slippers in my house for the guests either, so don’t worry about it. And to be honest, I’m not really worried about it.”

“Is that so… that’s good.”

I smiled and looked away, afraid of being charmed by her adorable expressions. I took off my shoes at the entrance and lined them up, then headed to the living room.

“For now, please sit on the sofa.”

“Okay.”

“Do you want something to drink? We just walked a bit so you might be feeling a little thirsty.”

“I’m fine, but I’ll take you up on that offer.”

“Haha, why are you being so formal?”

“I’m nervous. Sorry for being so lame as your senpai…”

“Like I said before, it’s okay. In fact, this way you are even cuter.”

“Please don’t tease me like that.”

“I’m joking. I’ll bring barley tea for you.”

“Thank you.”

As she said that, Mitoma-san walked to the kitchen.

While she made the tea for us, I sat on the sofa and waited for her to finish. I couldn’t use my phone here, so I looked around.

The room was neat and tidy, there was not even a speck of dust anywhere. It was well organized and you could easily understand that she had a good sense of household management.

It looks like she’s lived alone longer than me. I’d said before that if she needed any kind of help at any moment, it looks like I might have to learn a thing or two from her.

But I could tell that she was a girl because of the stuffed animal on the sofa and the makeup tools that were lying around.

“Here you go.”

“Thank you.”

“Hehe~, I feel a little embarrassed when my senpai sees all of this.”

“Oh… sorry for being so nervous all the time.”

“Are you excited, by any chance?”

Upon hearing that, she smiled and rested her face on my shoulder.

“Hey, what the—”

“Don’t you like it when someone approaches you, senpai?”

“Well, that’s not what I meant…”

She tightly pressed her body against mine, her soft squishy b****s pressing on my chest. It was more like she was pushing me. What’s this feeling? This is a bit too stimulating for me…

As I tried to escape, she quickly backs away and sticks her index finger to her lips saying ‘It’s a secret.’

“So, senpai. Can you teach me?”

“Ugh, alright.”

It’s no good she is like a natural temptress, it was getting hard for me to control my emotions around her, if things continue on like this, then one day I’ll pounce on her and ravage her.

I couldn’t really understand what this girl was thinking..

We chatted for a little while longer as I explained things to her, and when it was past midnight, I decided to head back home.

“Why don’t you sleep here tonight, senpai?”

“No, that would be a bit too much.”

“Is that so? I don’t think there’s anything wrong with our relationship as senpai and kouhai though…”

Mitoma-san said this to me with a serious look on her face. Well, it’s not like we’re particularly close, but I didn’t feel like saying that out loud, so I changed my words.

“Well, it’s not like we’re close friends or anything like that. I mean, we just recently reunited and that’s all…”

“Yeah, I suppose you’re right. We should take things forward step by step.”

“Yeah, that’s probably the best for now.”

“Alright, then I’ll talk to the director of the school tomorrow about the job interview, and let you know when the schedule is set.”

“Ok, thank you very much.”

“Sure thing. See you later.”

“Hey, senpai. You left your bag.”

“Oh, right. Sorry, sorry.”

“Here you go… “

“Thanks. I’ll see you later then.”

I waved back at Mitoma-san who was also waving back to me with a cheerful expression on her face, and then I headed back to my apartment room.

[Pov] Suzune Mitoma :

Maybe I got a little carried away today. But it’s alright, I can get closer to him slowly… but it’s too frustrating to wait for some more time.

It’s been such a long time since we saw each other and if I can’t have him to love me back, I… might go crazy.

Oh, that reminds me, I should call my sister.

“Hello, onee-chan?”

“Oh, what’s going on, Suzu?”

“You won’t believe it, but I met the guy who helped me that day, today!”

“Oh, you told me about that back then. You both got into the same university?”

“The university I got into is better than yours, isn’t that amazing!”

“Alright, alright. But more importantly… did you feel scared of that person?”

“What do you mean?”

“I mean, when Suzu told me how she found that university, I couldn’t believe it… even for you.”

“Oh, I asked a lot of people and… when I was in high school and so I decided to get admitted to this university.”

“Of course, you did, but I’m a bit disappointed that he’s a science major.”

“What are you saying, onee-chan? Senpai and I are connected by a red thread of fate. Nothing can separate us now.”

“That’s fine, it’s good for you. But don’t overdo it with that senpai of yours. If you push too much, that marriage you desire will be further away from you.”

“I know, I know. I just looked up his student ID number recently.”

“That’s what I’m worried about.”

“Hehe~ there’s nothing to worry about.”

“I’m not praising you… anyways, take care of yourself. Be moderate. I’m going to work for the night shift now.”

“Okay.”

Seriously, this onee-chan of mine…

What is she worried about?

He is going to be my future husband.

Ah, come to think of it, I wonder if senpai noticed that my panties were a little wet…

I am really a hopeless case.
