CH 1

I was kidnapped.

It had been an hour since I ran away from home.

Not only were my ankles and wrists tied, but my mouth was completely blocked by the kidnappers. I could only burst into tears helplessly.

‘Will my father really find me?’

He probably wouldn’t.

As my dad had never seen my human form.

It was the first time I went out alone after possessing a character in this novel, so I didn’t know that this world was such a scary place.

Besides, who would have known that I would suddenly become a human today?

‘What a beggar-like luck. Even if I was reincarnated, I was born again as an animal, not a human, and suffering like this…!’

At that time, the wagon that had been rattling non-stop calmed down, as if it had arrived at its destination.

“Kyahahaha! Even after paying off gambling debts, I can live for years without worrying about money!”

“We’re really lucky.”

“After finding that Suin, how many times did I hit my head thinking I was a little drunk?”

(TL/N: ‘수인/Suin’ are beast humanoids. I’ll keep it as it is as I think it flows better.)

“If you were more drunk, I could have hogged the reward money, what a pity! Haha.”

“Hey, why are you saying such sad things between us?”

“That’s why we’re here together? Let’s split it in half and half equally!”

The kidnappers giggled among themselves and left me in the wagon.

How much time had passed while I was in such a dark wagon?

Along with the footsteps of several people, the kidnappers could be heard faintly talking to someone.

I tried to calm my pounding heart and focused my ears on the sound.

“I brought the desired Suin here, so the money…”

“I will check first.”

Whether the person who they decided to sell me to was a woman of authority or not, there was a sense of intimidation in her voice that could not be ignored.

“Oh my god, for my own safety, how would I dare to cheat?”

“Well, I’ve seen a lot of big guys who have been there.”

That was then. A masculine yet pleasant voice intervened in the conversation.

“It could be dangerous, so I’ll check first, Mother.”

“Can you please?”

At the end of those words, the sound of footsteps approaching from the wagon was heard.

Gradually, the presence drew closer, and the wagon’s door opened with a sudden rattling.

With tears in my eyes, I looked at the man who opened the carriage door.

Of course, I don’t know what will happen to me if I glare at him, so with a harmless expression on my face and with as little power as possible.

I must remember the face, and if I get out of this place, I will get revenge several times.

‘Who do you think my dad is, how dare you…!’

‘But what is this?’

The person who made eye contact was a face I knew.

“…Ugh!!!”

Immediately, I raised my eyes fiercely, staring daggers at the person who had entered the carriage.

The killer whale Suin, Suradel.

This crazy guy chased me around like a stalker and finally kidnapped me……!

I was so angry at the thought that I had been beaten by him, and the tears that were barely suppressed were welling up.

‘I should’ve pecked that bastard in the eye!’

Suradel, who met my eyes, quietly narrowed his brows.

I was a little embarrassed by the attitude that was different from his usual in front of me.

What’s wrong with that bastard?

‘You’re not laughing at me? Didn’t you kidnap me?’

“Well…”

He casually took his gaze away from me and looked out of the wagon.

“Mother, I think you should come and check the condition.”

“Are they scamming us?”

“W-What do you mean by scam, Madam? Check it out for yourself. The number you want is correct.”

“I’ll check it out myself.”

Soon, a woman, probably the owner of the voice, entered the wagon.

A woman who looked as strong as a warrior but as beautiful as a sculpture came into view.

White spots all over black hair. And white hair tucked inside.

It was Bella, the hostess of the great Weil family.

One of the two killer whales left on the continent, the other one being Suradel.

Her complexion turned white as she looked at me.

“What is this…!”

Bella’s face crumpled, and she sprinted out of the carriage.

“Suradel. Hurry up and release the bound child.”

“Yes, Mother.”

I looked at her disappearing back with a puzzled expression.

I wasn’t the one they were trying to get? It didn’t seem like they were trying to catch that person in a coercive way like kidnapping in the first place.

It was then that my mind calmed down and rational thoughts returned.

…If I think about it, Suradel would have only seen me as an animal.

I just humanized today, how would he know to kidnap me?

Suradel, heeding his mother’s orders, immediately began to untie the ropes around my body.

“Strange.”

He tilted his head slowly as he loosened the ropes.

“I feel familiar with you.”

The golden eyes looking at me narrowed slightly.

Flinch.

As my body shrunk back from nervousness, Bella’s voice came from outside the carriage.

“What is it? You didn’t read the notice properly. Or are you lacking brains?”

There was a deep rage in her voice as she spoke to the kidnappers.

“Don’t you know that the reason I came all the way here to check it myself instead of sending a servant was because I’m very desperate?”

“Uh, that’s why I brought the Suin you’re looking for.”

“…Bring? Ha!”

She snorted loudly.

“What I was looking for was one of my own, not a criminal. It’s not enough that you dragged her here, but you handled this delicate baby harshly?”

“B-But I didn’t hurt her at all…!”

“If you had just handed over the information that you found, I would have given you a sufficient reward. It’s you who threw the job.”

“I just used a rather rough way to get her in a hurry!”

“You know that human trafficking is banned all over the continent, right? You will be dealt with the Weil’s way. Catch these criminals right now.”

“M-Madam!”

The number of footsteps increased; the kidnappers were not the only ones outside.

“W-What is this? We just saw the announcement that you were looking for this Suin and brought it here!”

“T-That’s right! I can’t let it go like this. And the reward you mentioned…!”

As if caught by the knights and dragged away, their voices gradually became distant.

When the kidnappers’ voices were completely removed from my ears, my heartbeat slowly stabilized.

Soon after, Suradel, having unfastened all the shackles, looked at me clearly.

His eyes seemed to pierce through my true identity at once.

Out of awkwardness, I tried calling his name.

“Su… radel.”

The voice coming out of my throat was unfamiliar.

It bothered me a little that the first name I called after becoming a human was Suradel, but…

I should say thank you.

When I called for Suradel, he stared blankly at me with his eyes slightly raised.

“You, how…”

Was he surprised that I knew his name?

But didn’t Bella call his name earlier?

If he had doubts, I could just make an excuse that I picked it up roughly.

I continued speaking, avoiding his eyes with an uncomfortable expression.

“Thank you.”

When I uttered a brief thank you, Suradel stopped what he was about to say and kept his mouth straight.

‘Why isn’t there an answer?’

As the silence grew longer, my questions gradually grew.

Suradel sighed and asked me.

“Ha… If it’s okay, can you say it one more time?”

“…Did you not hear me?”

“No, I heard you.”

Then why?

When I looked at him with a puzzled expression, he opened his mouth and spoke in a sweet tone, his eyes reddened as if in ecstasy.

“Your voice is just my taste.”

Shit.

Indeed, his strange taste didn’t go anywhere just because I became a human.

The novel that I possessed, <Wolf, I Have Nothing to Eat>, was a world with ‘Suin’.

It’s a story of the imprinting of a male wolf Suin on the heroine who healed him.

The imprinting here was a very complex emotion, but to put it simply, it could be said to be a ‘one-sided’ contract that made one forever subordinated to the imprinted person.

A love that was almost mentally ill, taking extreme actions for the sake of the person it was engraved on without hesitation.

Usually, there’s a high probability of imprinting on your first love…

But it was said that sometimes, if you’re unlucky, you might imprint on an unexpected person at an unexpected moment.

It’s a characteristic possessed only by those who have deeply inherited the blood of the first wolf Suin, and was seen as something very romantic in this world.

But would it be the same for the wolf Suin?

Of course, if love was achieved with the imprinted person, one would live a happier life than anyone else.

However, there was no guarantee that love would always succeed.

Anyway, what’s after such imprinting? Naturally, the male lead’s obsession begins and the story progresses.

And what I possessed in this novel was…

The pet that the heroine’s magic teacher cherished.

Of course, it’s called a pet, but my dad really took care of me with love as if I was a child.

Penguin.

Among the gentlemen of Antarctica… The thug-like Adelie penguin was the animal I possessed.

Ame: At this rate, Bluebells is turning into a zoo… I googled ‘Adélie penguin’ and wow, they nasty!?!

…Did I say <I Decided to Kidnap the Male Lead> will be my last pick up this year? Well… I lied *awkward smile* I just love this novel too much to not pick it up asap!
