Chapter 58 - Alex Bickering With The Hobo Husband

Chapter - 58

"You... Imbecile. How dare you be rude to the master of this house? I am her husband, so why is it that you can't trust me?" The man asked Alex, but as if coming to a sudden realization, he continued, "And most of all, why should I bloody care whether you trust me or not?" The man said as he blocked Alex again and did not allow Alex to go further in.

"Don't act so high and noble in front of me," Alex said, "You are dressed like a hobo but talk like some nobility, 'You imbecile. How dare you be rude to this good for nothing master of the house.'" Alex mimicked Karen's husband.

"You deviant. I don't want to bring myself to your level. She is my wife, and I demand you to hand her over," The man said, hanging on to the last straw of rationality.

"It's true, but..." However reluctant Alex was, he had no excuse left in his arsenal.

"No, if and buts. You have done a great service bringing my wife back home safely, but you need to leave now. I know how to take care of her," The man said as he snatched Karen from Alex's grip. This time Alex could do nothing but comply.

"Are you sure, my dear sir, that you don't need my help?" Alex asked for the last time, as he slightly bowed in front of Karen's husband and mimicked her husband again.

"I am fuckin' sure that I ain't need no help from you. Now get the hell out of my house before I los... oh fuck," The man finally snapped and lost it. He wanted nothing more than to burst Alex's head open. All his noble accent was dumped down the drain. But before he could finish threatening Alex, Karen let out a couple of odd sounds and almost puked all over the man.

The man tried to avoid the vomit, and in the process, he pushed Karen away towards Alex.

Alex, when saw her falling on the ground, rushed towards her, grabbed her, and stopped the fall. In this process, all his clothes were smeared in Karen's vomit. But he didn't care about that right now. He was enraged by the way her husband just pushed her away like that.

"You fool. How can you just push her away like that?" Alex roared at the man, looking up at him viciously, ready to break a few bones.

"What did you say?" The man asked as he backed off a little under Alex's glare.

"Now you are bloody deaf too?" Alex said as he stood up, and in front of her husband, princess carried Karen, "Get aside," Alex pushed the man aside and walked up to a room. He kicked open the door, but from the looks of it, it was the storeroom. He then moved to the next room, which had a normal-sized bed. Alex softly put her down, removed her heels and walked to the nearby cupboard to look for sheets.

All this while Karen's husband just stood by the door like an idiot, not able to say a word.

Alex rummaged through the cupboard for a while before he grabbed a sheet and covered Karen from head to toe. After tucking Karen in, he gave her one last look and walked out of the room, slowly closing the door behind him.

When Alex walked out of the room, the man was looking at him with blazing eyes.

"I am going now. I hope you won't disturb chief in her sleep," Alex said as he walked to the living room, followed by the man.

"I ain't taking this shit no more," the man was angry as hell. In his own house, he has been taking shit from a nobody for a while now. He grabbed Alex by his collar and pushed him to the wall, "What is your relationship with my wife? How do you know her? Why are you the one bringing her back home? Answer me, dammit," the man was getting hostile now.

Alex grabbed the man's hands on his collar, "Now... Now... No need to get excited. We already know that you are as deaf as a snake, so I AM NOT SURE IF YOU HEARD ME CALLING HER CHIEF. IF YOU DID, YOU MIGHT NOT HAVE ASKED SO MANY IDIOTIC QUESTIONS," Alex yelled in the man's ear.

With the sudden screaming from Alex, the man left his collar and backed off.

"Getting angry at your age is not at all good for your health. You might end up in a casket before you know it. Though I don't mind that personally 'cuz I will be there for the chief, but you know what... I really like that outcome," Alex said as he ran away from the apartment. The man may be a buffoon, but Alex didn't want to be in a match of fists with him.

"What do you mean by people my age? Come back here, you little rascal... How people my age fuck the shit out of you," the man followed behind Alex and yelled. But Alex was long gone.

When Alex arrived home, he was dead tired by all the running around. His parents were in the living room watching television. He greeted them from the foot of the stairs for a bit before heading upstairs to his room. He was so tired that he didn't have the strength to change his clothes, let alone wash up or think about Karen's bozo husband. Throwing his jacket somewhere, he slipped into his bed and soon dozed off.
