CH 6.2

[Arthur, finally…!]

[…!!!!]

Arthur nodded as the spirits congratulated him.

In that moment, he felt an exhilarating sensation unlike anything he had ever felt before.

Mages called it magic.

To knights, it was a mysterious energy called mana.

Arthur smiled at the sensation, which he could not have felt in his broken state.

“If I can feel it, it means…. I can finally make a circle.

The circle that marks a swordsman’s mastery.

Once this circle was formed, he could once again hold the sword.

The significance of this was huge.

‘Traitors within the family, the time to strike them down is near.’

Arthur muttered, and his eyes lit up.

The newly appointed butler.

He heard the voice of Anna.

“young master. The family lord is calling.”

“Is my Mother calling?”

“Yes. She asks you to join her for dinner.”

Arthur nodded and rose to meet her.

He left the doorway and headed for the dining room.

“My son!”

Yonel, whom he hadn’t seen in a week, smiled.

She looked thinner than the last time he saw her.

“Mother, are you feeling ill?”

“Mother, are you feeling ill?”

“Your face is pale!”

Yonel patted Arthur’s head, looking very touched.

“No, it’s just that things have been a little hectic lately.”

“You should Take a break some time to relax!”

“Yeah. I should take a break for my son’s sake, but….”

She stammered, then looked up at Arthur in admiration.

“You’ve gotten taller again. Now I’m going to need to look up to see your face.”

Irene, who was next to her, responded.

“Did you grow tall again?”

“What? Am I tall again?”

“Again? Irene’s not getting any taller at all!”

Her exclamation caused everyone around her to burst into laughter.

In the midst of it, Yonel picked up her cutlery.

“Only good things have been happening lately,” she said, “and I hope they keep on happening.”

The three ate their meal together at the table, then went outside to have tea.

As they laughed at Irene’s antics, a Bavarian legislator arrived and bowed.

“Your Excellency, I am here as you have requested.”

Arthur’s gaze fell on Yonel.

There was only one reason for a doctor to appear at the tea time of the duke’s family.

‘It’s probably to check my physical condition.’

The guess was correct.

“My son, you were examined two weeks ago, but let’s have another one.”

“‘Yes mother!”

Arthur walked over and sat down in front of the doctor.

As the doctor examined every inch of his body, he became impressed.

“The flow and condition of his pulse is no different than that of a normal person!”

Yonel asked in amazement.

“Are you certain of that”

“Yes, Your Excellency. In fact, he has shown rapid improvement before, and this condition he has shown in recent months…. can only be described as an act of God.”

As the doctor spoke, Yonel slumped in her seat, rubbing her forehead.

Startled, Arthur reflexively reached out to her, and Yonel hugged him tightly, murmuring.

“Thank God, son….”

The councilman smiled and advised.

“Now, I don’t think it would be a bad idea for you to get some moderate exercise. Your muscles won’t develop properly if you don’t move your body during this time of growth.”

“Exercise, you say….”

Yonel pondered at the doctor’s advice, then turned to Arthur.

“Son, would you like to do some exercises with your mom?”

“‘What kind of exercise ?”

Yonel laughed.

“Target practice. It’s not that hard, it’s easy… target practice.”
