Not Leaving. Do You Want To or Not? (2)

A big tear dropped from Liang Yan’s eyes as she listened to Jiang Mu’s story of her life.

Jiang Mu immediately took out a tissue to wipe Liang Yan’s tears. “Hey, don’t cry.”

Taking the tissue, Liang Yan wanted to stop her tears, but the more she thought about her situation, the sadder she became. She cried harder.

After learning that the whole industry was waiting for her to divorce Lu Lincheng, she was embarrassed but not sad about it. After all, she was only a normal fan of Lu Lincheng, a passerby at best. She had never thought of marrying him. But after knowing that she became a 3rd-tier actress because of their marriage, but had no dramas to film, she cried harder than when she was an 18th-tier actress.

“What a shitty marriage. It would have been better if I didn’t marry him.” Liang Yan’s face was covered with snot and tears.

Jiang Mu didn’t know how to comfort her because Liang Yan thinks that… not getting married was better than this marriage.

Jiang Mu pondered about it before saying as a form of comfort, “Don’t you still have the variety show? As for dramas, why don’t I go and find out if there’s a lead actor running away?”

Liang Yan didn’t sign with an entertainment company, and Jiang Mu had to take care of everything. She cried a lot and sulked until the nanny car pulled up in front of the hotel.

When they returned to their room, Jiang Mu had already prepared their luggage. Now that the filming was over, it was time to go back to B City.

After taking a shower, Liang Yan put on a mask and lay on the bed, then flipped through her phone.

She didn’t have the habit of posting to her friends or on Weibo, so she could find very little information about what had happened in the three years she had forgotten. Liang Yan browsed for a while but couldn’t find information. Then, she clicked on her Weibo, finding out that she had an exact 1,000,000 followers.

The number of followers was indeed not bad, much better than before, but the number of likes per tweet was barely a hundred, while the rest of the comments and likes were only a few dozen.

Liang Yan confirmed that she only had a few real fans and sighed. Then, she received a WeChat from Jiang Mu with her flight scheduled for tomorrow to B City. Another message followed; it said, “Your home with Lu Lincheng.” Jiang Mu gave the address of her home with Lu Lincheng.

When Liang Yan saw the words ‘Your home with Lu Lincheng’, her eyebrows squirmed.

Fortunately, Jiang Mu added another message, “Don’t worry, Lu Lincheng doesn’t usually go back, so you’re basically the only one living in this house.”

Liang Yan heaved a sigh of relief and checked Lu Lincheng’s Weibo to make sure that he was filming on the set during this period of time and would definitely not run into her.

Liang Yan placed her phone under her pillow and slept with a head full of thoughts. The next day, Jiang Mu and she returned to B City with their suitcases.

The plane was delayed for an hour, and Liang Yan arrived ‘home’ at around 8:00 pm. She swiped her fingerprint on the scanner to unlock the door, then, she stood at the entrance, staring blankly at the 200-square-foot flat.

The flat was modern, in gray tones, designed to suit a man’s taste. This place was a far cry from the beige color scheme of her old pad.

The place was very clean and should be maintained by a cleaner. There was also fresh food and fruits in the fridge.

Jiang Mu said that Lu Lincheng didn’t usually come back, and she knew that he was currently filming a drama. The actors on set shouldn’t be able to casually leave the crew without saying their respects first, so Liang Yan relaxed. She put her luggage away and took a can of yogurt from the refrigerator to drink. Then, she slipped on her slippers, familiarizing herself with the place.

There was nothing missing, but it was as if everything was too neat and tidy. It was like the production sets in the drama, lacking the substance of someone living there.

The floor was warm, and the temperature was warm in the flat. Liang Yan sighed and picked out a thin silk camisole from the cloakroom.

Then, she took a shower and lay down on the bed in her sleepwear, turned off the lights, and tossed and turned, unable to sleep.

Liang Yan opened her eyes and stared at the dark shadows in the bedroom, trying desperately to remember the three years of memories she lost. But nothing came to mind, and the back of her head even ached vaguely.

Sleep. She told herself to sleep and assured herself that she would be able to remember tomorrow. Liang Yan kept giving herself a psychological push. As she was drifting off to sleep, she suddenly felt the mattress beside her sink down.

Liang Yan’s eyes widened abruptly, and she jumped out of the quilt. When she saw the dark figure, she let out an ‘Ah’. The man heard Liang Yan’s voice and realized that she was not asleep. He turned on the lamp next to their bed.

Lu Lincheng sat on the bed and saw Liang Yan leaping up from under the covers. The light was dim, and Liang Yan’s seaweed-like hair spread on her shoulders. Her black hair in contrast with her pale skin made it appear as white as snow, and her silk pajamas highlighted the curves on her body.

Lu Lincheng smiled.

Liang Yan trembled slightly as she looked at the man’s handsome face that was so close.
