Marcus’s Education (1)

If you are reading from a pirate or aggregator site, please read from the translator’s site: yado-inn (dot) com I have to put the link like this or else the bots will remove it, sorry

The morning two days later, Marcus arrived as promised.

He brought with him the signed contract and a letter from Marcus’s mother to Father.

Father later told me that the letter thanked him for the high potion and wrote things a worried mother would write, asking Father to take good care of her son.

Since he had just arrived today, Marcus was first entrusted with the butler. Newly arrived servants are first required to be cleansed (having their body cleaned, okay?) and provided with clothes to work in this house. Then, they are given a briefing on the rules of working in this house, the mansion itself, and the servant’s area.

Also, it’s important to meet the other servants during lunchtime. Well, he’s basically entirely for my personal use, so there are some differences from the other servants, but if you want to be a servant in this house, Sebas’s education that lasted for a little bit more than half a day today is a must.

After I finished today’s morning magic training, I was thinking about the order in which I would teach Marcus.

First, water. It would be more efficient to teach him how to make distilled water, the foundation of everything, and have him make it in the morning when I’m practicing magic.

Next, I stood still while looking at the fields, wondering for a moment what I should do about the watering of the fields.

“Daisy, what’s wrong? Is something worrying you?” the green fairy softly rested on my shoulder.

“Hmm, my apprentice is going to work with me, and I’m trying to decide whether I should leave the watering to him or not,” I consulted with the fairy as she changed the place she was resting on to my fingertips. Then, the fairy sat down on my fingertips.

“Well, yeah, watering is surprisingly difficult. Too much and the roots rot, not enough and they shrivel and die…” the fairy seemed to agree with my worries. We thought together.

“If he could see you fairies like me, then I would have some peace of mind with you guys guiding him,” I suddenly blurted out a thought that came to me.

“We’ll teach your apprentice!?”

It seemed to be a spark to the fairy. Her arms were all excited and it was kind of scary.

“Increasing the number of people that carefully nurture the greenery is an important matter for us. Leave it to us, Daisy!”

Hm? I mean, Marcus can’t see you, right?

“How are you guys supposed to teach someone who can’t see you?”

“All we have to do is make us visible!” the fairy girl said, then disappeared in a flash.

In the evening, after Sebas’s first day of education, Marcus came to the field.

“Whoa! There’s something weird and green in the field!” he screamed, his bottom stuck to the ground, unable to stand back up from the surprise.

It seems that the girl fairy and the spirit king quickly dealt with it to make sure that Marcus could see the green fairies. You sure work fast…

Then, the fairy girl who had helped me with my problems flew softly and stopped at my shoulder. I feel like she puffed up with pride with her job well done for some reason…

“Don’t worry, Marcus, they’re green fairies. They protect the fields here,” I explained to Marcus as I took Marcus’s hand and helped him up.”

“You will be responsible for watering the fields in the morning and evening. It’s okay if you don’t know how to do it at first…”

“““We’ll make sure you’re well trained after all!””” the fairies interrupted my words, eager to educate Marcus.

“First, let’s get to the watering for this evening! Well now, come here. Let’s go get the watering can!” The fairies formed a crowd over Marcus, trying to take him away.

“D-Daisy…”

I felt a confused look crying for help coming from Marcus.

…However.

“Take care and do your best, Marcus!” I saw Marcus off with a smile as he was taken away. 1

…That’s great! Now my field is safe!

“Hey! Don’t let the water from the watering-can drip onto the fields!”

“Water the plants thoroughly and kindly!”

“Ask the plants themselves how much water they want with your Appraisal!”

Fairies, you’re all so motivated!

Even so, I feel like you’re kind of crowding around him… I think I’ll give him a lecture on making distilled water tomorrow.

I decided to leave Marcus’s education for today to the fairies.
