Bai Chunian raised his hand and lowered the muzzle of the crow omega’s gun. With the tip of his index finger, he easily plucked the pistol from the omega’s hand into his palm, turned the gun twice and unloaded the bullets into his pocket. Then he put the empty gun back into the omega’s palm, and lowered his head, asking, “How do you want to team up?”
Crow Omega raised his jaw slightly. “We won’t take kills. We can hold down all the opponents we meet, then you can come to take the kills, but you’ll need to take us to the research institute where our mission target is.”
The logo of the research institute on the map was very noticeable, placed in the southeasternmost corner of the city map. Three eye-catching fixed ammunition box signs were marked on the third, tenth and sixteenth floor of the research institute. It seemed that the research institute was the largest supply point on the map of the entire city. For the four omegas who basically had no output of force, it would be difficult to survive at the research institute and complete the mission.
“Do you think we wouldn’t have enough kills without you?” Bai Chunian laughed, his eyes swept across these petite omegas with ridicule.
Crow Omega had already expected him to say this, he closed his eyes slightly, and then said softly, “There’s a team in the laboratory on the fourth floor of the hospital, with one person with very low health, two with half-filled health bar, and one with full health. There’s a team in the luxury area on the first floor of the shopping mall 300 meters away, one with little health left and three with full health.”
Bai Chunian raised his eyebrows in surprise.
“My associated ability, Persistent Eye, can separate my two eyes to monitor activities in two different positions.” Crow omega tucked a lock of hair from his temple behind his ear, “or else, how do you think we avoided the Ghost Hunting Group?”
Some glands had the possibility of obtaining differentiation ability and additional associated ability at the same time. Most of the associated abilities that appear under natural conditions were mostly related to the biological characteristics of the glands, but not necessarily.
Bai Chunian moved a little closer to him, and asked meaningfully, “Persistent Eye doesn’t sound like it could have much to do with crow gland’s ability.”
Omega took two steps back, and stared at Bai Chunian vigilantly, “I didn’t lie to you. Forget it if you don’t want to cooperate.”
“I didn’t say I don’t want to cooperate, I think you’re quite strong.” Bai Chunian took back his aggressive gaze and leaned back harmlessly on the car door, “How should I call you?”
“Du Mo.”[1]
Lu Yan had no opinion on these omegas. He was young, had little experience, and wasn’t very guarded. After Mo Chan returned the stolen anti-detonator, Lu Yan didn’t care about them anymore. Bi Lanxing thought a little bit more, wrapped around Lu Yan’s waist with vines, gently pulled him back behind him, and put a distance from those omegas.
Bai Chunian thought that since there was only one team in the hospital, it would be okay to let Rimbaud rest in the car for a while. As soon as he opened the car door, Rimbaud sat leaning on his side on the seat, staring at his fingers in a daze.
The webs between his fingers had regrown as they were before. Although they were thin and pale, they looked out of place on human hands.
Bai Chunian lowered his head to look at him, Rimbaud suddenly raised his hand and grabbed the neckline of Bai Chunian’s black military suit, and pulled him down in front of him.
In his pupils, there seemed to be a turbulent cold sea, and Bai Chunian could see some kind of burning fervent jealousy from his eyes.
A burst of white thorn rose fragrance secreted from the glands in the back of Rimbaud’s neck, penetrating into the air. Lu Yan was the closest to him. At first, he felt a burst of discomfort. Then he raised his hand and held his glands, feeling a little indescribably uncomfortable.
The other omegas weren’t so lucky. The moment they were invaded by the white thorn rose pheromone, they felt a strong pressure. The glands on the back of their necks turned swollen and painful. Even when the sea spider omega quickly activated his J1 ability, Suppression Offset, it was to no avail.
Although sea spiders had no true natural enemies, merfolk, as an aquatic mutated gland, had a weakening effect on all marine animals. The sea spider’s Suppression Offset ability couldn’t affect merfolks at all.
The three omegas were pressed against the ground by the strong oppressive pheromone, and Du Mo could barely stand on the ground, his legs became weak and it trembled slightly. He pressed the tingling gland on the back of his neck and called out to Bai Chunian, “Is he crazy? Make him stop.”
Rimbaud seemed to be targeting the crow omega, gathering all the oppressive pheromones on Du Mo, until the strong pheromones forced Du Mo to kneel on the ground.
Bai Chunian had never seen Rimbaud forcefully suppress omegas around him before, and turned back to make the few omegas stay away.
After the omegas retreated ten meters away from Bai Chunian, Rimbaud stopped releasing the oppressive pheromone and gave Bai Chunian a “That’s it?” look.
Bai Chunian couldn’t help laughing[2] and rubbed the top of Rimbaud’s fluffy hair. “I didn’t say that he was better than you.”
“hen.” Rimbaud raised his fishtail and released an electric current, leaving the car seat by electromagnetic force, attracting it to the wall of the hospital, and climbed into the open window of the stairwell.
Now that they’d arrived at the hospital, they must first help Lu Yan complete the hospital mission first, that was, looking for a hallucinogen called Accelerant.
They knew that there was a team on the fourth-floor laboratory of the hospital. Bai Chunian led the team to speed up a little bit, intending to make it a quick battle, but in reality, he could already smell a strong smell of blood as he walked up the fourth-floor stairwell.
A few people sneaked in with guns. There were a lot of severed limbs soaked in pools of blood at the entrance of the laboratory. Rimbaud sat on the windowsill of the laboratory sweeping the floor with his fishtail. The blood that hadn’t dried up yet flowed down his arms and tail to the floor, merging with the scattered limbs and the tip of his tail sucked it into his body. The blue electric light flickering in the fishtail gradually turned red like a charged up battery.
“It seems that you didn’t lie, there really was a team.” Bai Chunian admired Rimbaud’s masterpiece. The fishtail filled with red electric lights looked a little more dangerous and a little sexier than usual. It was very beautiful.
Du Mo curved his narrow eyes, folded his arms and chuckled. “Our abilities are all very suitable for assistance. Unfortunately, this test isn’t very friendly for assistive abilities. Do you want to leave your contact information? You can find me if you need any type of assistance.”
The four comatose team members with severed hands and feet still had little blood in their health bar in front of their chests. Rimbaud raised his jaw slightly and motioned for Lu Yan to come over and take their heads, and glanced at Du Mo as he did so.
Du Mo didn’t feel much at first, but after Rimbaud’s deep blue eyes scrutinized him for a long time, his fingertips began to tremble slightly. He swallowed, stepped back from Bai Chunian’s side, and retreated to the diagonal of the room. Only then did Rimbaud move his cold eyes away from him.
