CH 129

The members of the Storm Forces took the experimental subjects out of the cells in an orderly fashion. They checked their identity and serial number, then placed the 14 experimental subjects held in the International Prison on the hypersonic transport plane in order.

Major Xia stood next to the plane watching the members do their work. He occasionally lent them a helping hand. Du Mo was the one in charge, helping the Storm Forces confirm the roster. Although Bai Chunian was also nearby, he was being idle and lazy. He watched Captain He work while chatting with him, annoying the heck out of him.

After resting for a whole morning, Lu Yan became energized again. The kid was full of energy and his mood recovered quickly. While the guards were preoccupied with checking the criminals and not paying attention to him, he roamed around the island and slipped next to the transport plane to watch the fun.

“Uncle Xiao Xia!” Lu Yan ran over with his ears bouncing. Xia Jingtian turned around. Once he saw him, his expression naturally relaxed. He leaned over and held Lu Yan under his armpits, lifted him up and weighed him. He said with a warm smile, “The big baby has gained weight again.”

Lu Yan didn’t like what he said. He jumped up when he was placed back on the ground. “What do you mean I gained weight?! Is that supposed to be a good thing?” He rolled up his sleeves to reveal his slender arms, flexing the tiny bit of muscle. “I gained muscles, got it? I’m the fiercest rabbit on the entire Greenfly Island right now.”

Xia Jingtian chuckled, clenched his fist and gave Lu Yan a light push. Lu Yan couldn’t keep his balance, he was pushed two steps back and landed on his butt.

“Nice one, fiercest rabbit on the entire Greenfly Island.” Xia Jingtian squatted down on one knee and watched him make a fool of himself. “That’s because you’re the only rabbit on Greenfly Island.”

Lu Yan was so enraged that he punched him indiscriminately. Xia Jingtian raised his hand and pressed down on his forehead. Lu Yan was short, so he couldn’t hit him with his short arms.

“Did your dad agree to let you come to this IOA and PBB exchange training?”

“Didn’t agree? I don’t care. It’s just the military base; how many times do you think I visited there when I was younger?”

“But you should still listen to your dad.”

“Okay… Oh yeah, Lanxing is also here. He’s still sleeping inside the helicopter. He probably didn’t know you came. Should I go get him?”

“Let him sleep ba, he worked hard yesterday.” Xia Jingtian said, “You too. On behalf of the PBB military base, I would like to express my gratitude to the IOA Secret Service for their assistance.”

“En, it’s no big deal.” Lu Yan’s ears moved happily when he heard his words.

When Du Mo got to the last experimental subject, serial number “324”, a prison guard brought Invisible Stalker out. The Storm Forces members escorted behind them with submachine guns in their hands.

Invisible Stalker passed by Major Xia, but the baby’s breath pheromone emanating from his body made Invisible Stalker pause in his steps.

Only then did Xia Jingtian notice him. Because Invisible Stalker’s face was covered with a thick layer of black electrostatic tape, he didn’t recognize him at first.

“What’s this for?” Xia Jingtian walked over.

Du Mo lowered his head and marked off the list, explaining casually, “Experimental Subject No. 324 Invisible Stalker has a copying ability, so he’s been blindfolded to prevent any issues.”

“Take it off, I’ll be looking after him from now on.”

Du Mo opened his mouth—he was of lower position after all, and whatever he said wouldn’t be taken seriously. So he just said, “Then sign your name on the list. We have finished the handover. Any issues after this has nothing to do with the International Prison.”

Xia Jingtian quickly skimmed through the list, signed it after verifying with the team members, then went forward and took off the tape wrapped around Invisible Stalker’s eyes.

As precaution, the tape was wrapped around more than ten times. Xia Jingtian patiently unwrapped it. Invisible Stalker quietly waited, his fingers entangled silently. His chameleon tail trailing behind him curled into a lollipop shape and slowly turned red.

A big pair of clear eyes was revealed after removing the tape. Invisible Stalker pursed his lips and whispered a “thank you.”

After everything was checked, the members of the Storm Forces also boarded the plane.

Bai Chunian stepped on the ramp, placed his arm on the railing, raised his hand and said to Captain He, “See you later.”

He Suowei bumped fist with him. “When you come over, I’d like to see what methods you used to teach your students to be better than Laozi.”

“How can I? I’m just a hoodlum. I’m grateful for the Major’s flattery.” Bai Chunian smiled, “Of course, being better than you is definitely the basics.”

Xia Jingtian came over and explained some things to Bai Chunian before leaving.

“It’s been a tough few months for you.” Xia Jingtian said. “The procedures at the prison have just been completed. Golden Silk Spider’s invoice is with me. I’ll send a team to escort him to the IOA headquarters. You can return after you finish your business here.”

“You’re too kind.” Bai Chunian had a good first impression of this major. He didn’t show restraint in front of him, instead he felt a sense of relaxation. His position and authority didn’t make him arrogant, and it was comfortable to communicate with him.

“You guys have one month to prepare. The President will most likely ask for your opinion for the exchange training participant list. At that time, I’ll have someone pick you guys up at a specific location.”

“Alright.” Bai Chunian stood up straight. “Have a safe trip.”

He watched the PBB plane take off. Rimbaud, who had been coiled around the tower, jumped off and landed beside him.

“Rando.” Rimbaud said as he watched Xia Jingtian’s plane leave.

“En?” Bai Chunian straightened Rimbaud’s face. “What did you call him?”

“You’re randi because you have pink paw pads.” Rimbaud spread out his hand to explain, “Rando only has black paw pads. He’s not a cute kitty.”

Bai Chunian nodded in satisfaction, but felt something was off.

Since the PBB transport plane needed to leave the island for takeoff, the prison temporarily opened the air defense electric net. After the two planes left, the electric net slowly closed.

Unexpectedly, an unfamiliar helicopter appeared in the sky. A familiar alpha stood in the open cabin and held onto the railing inside. More than half his body leaned out of the cabin, one hand held a rifle, and his tongue with a line tattooed on it was sticking out in the wind.

Bai Chunian was surprised.

Eris laughed and raised his gun to shoot down. Some bullets hit the unclosed electric net, and some bullets fell through the gap.

A storm of bullets swept over. Bai Chunian threw himself on Rimbaud and supported his head to avoid any injury. A stray bullet hit Du Mo’s calf, spraying blood. Du Mo yelled, clutching his bleeding calf as he rolled to the back of the car, then took out his walkie-talkie. “Warning, there’s a terrorist attack!”

Eris picked up the plane’s speaker, and pointed the rifle at Bai Chunian. “You betrayed your fellow kind, deceived me. Since the very beginning, you have approached me with an ulterior motive.”

Bai Chunian was speechless for a moment. “Well of course. I thought you knew? Didn’t you get bailed? Why did you come back?”

Eris snorted, “Bail is bail—I don’t want to be released voluntarily, I want to break out.”

He turned to Du Mo hiding behind the car and made a funny face. “Little prison guard, this is payback for that pointer stick of yours.”

Bai Chunian noticed the blond-haired alpha piloting the helicopter. Although he was wearing sunglasses and headphones, Bai Chunian could still recognize him from the outline of his face.

It matched with the photo in the arrest warrant issued by the IOA; he was the “Puppet Master” that Eris once mentioned. He used to work for the Red-Throated Bird, but had disappeared in recent years.

“Bai Chunian.” Eris shot near his feet. “I prefer a violent world as opposed to an orderly one. I just like that the strong are respected, bloody and unreasonable. I don’t like that a group of weaklings are using their own rules to restrict me. Just wait and see, I’ll make the world the way I like it.”

Eris stuck out his tongue, raised his scarlet lips, and smiled sinister. “You’re dead if you side with the humans.”

The helicopter turned around, taking Eris away with it.

Volume 5: Double Thinking Silk Epilogue (1)

Golden Silk Spider was severely traumatized. After diagnosing him, the professors of the Medical Association decided to temporarily return the spider silk mummy to him and let them live in the same observation ward for a period of time, then began guiding him into communicating.

The doctors carefully pushed the mummy into the observation ward. Golden Silk Spider suddenly stood up and rushed to the mummy, hugged it, inhaled its scent, and then hid back in the corner with his beloved mummy in his arms. He spat out spider silk to replace the dirty silk cocoon of the mummy.

“Gege.” Golden Silk Spider hugged it and silently placed his chin on the mummy’s shoulder.

Three days later, Yan Yi rushed back from abroad. The first thing he did was visit Golden Silk Spider. It happened that Bai Chunian was also there, so he came with him.

Golden Silk Spider still refused to talk with anyone, sealing his heart deeply in a little cocoon room, and hugging the mummy in a daze every day.

Bai Chunian pulled open the curtains a bit, letting the sun shine through the gap. He turned around and said, “In fact, he has already reached the maturity stage. He can understand what we say. But as you can see, his current situation is like this.”

“No need to force him.” Yan Yi took off his coat, sat next to Golden Silk Spider, and tried to reach his hand over.

Golden Silk Spider raised his head blankly. His hair was still a bit curly, his face was pale and soft, and he was obedient-looking. He didn’t look scary even though his eyes had a layer of metallic color.

Yan Yi rubbed his cheek. “Wenchi.”

Golden Silk Spider trembled after hearing his own name. He carefully pressed his check against Yan Yi’s palm.

“Oh? There’s finally a reaction from him.” Bai Chunian went over.

“Hush.” Yan Yi stretched out his hand to bring him closer and knelt on the ground. “Wenchi, come here.”

Golden Silk Spider slowly placed the mummy against the wall, then slowly moved towards Yan Yi and hugged him.

“Good child.” Yan Yi gently patted his back. “Don’t be afraid.”

Golden Silk Spider pressed close to him, obediently snuggling up to him. He sniffed the smell on Yan Yi’s body, and was lost in thought for a long time.

“President.” Golden Silk Spider seemed to recognize a familiar person from the scent. He suddenly buried his face in the crook of Yan Yi’s neck and muttered, “Gege is gone.”

“Gege is gone.” He suddenly started crying, tears flowed as if they couldn’t be shut off. “He became a star along with mommy and daddy! I hate stars!”

Yan Yi bowed his head and comforted him, releasing a gentle sweet pheromone.

Bai Chunian scrounged the high-level pheromone beside and stretched. He had long since known that the President was usually cold and selfless, but was actually quite gentle in private. His pheromone was also a soft toffee scent.

But looking at an unfamiliar experimental subject being hugged and comforted by the President after he had just arrived, Bai Chunian still felt a little uncomfortable.

“The President knew him before?”

“En, I had ties with his elder brother when I was younger.” Yan Yi sighed. “It can be regarded as a disagreement, but the child is innocent after all. He was just in elementary school at that time, and he couldn’t understand the conflicts between adults.”

“Oh.”

Yan Yi accompanied him in the ward for a long time, and told Bai Chunian a lot about his younger days.

If the President wasn’t willing to say it, Bai Chunian really couldn’t tell that an alpha who dotes on his wife like Uncle Jin would be so hard-headed when he was younger. He actually pissed off the President again and again. If this were someone else, they would have long been crippled. The President must really love Uncle Jin for him to live well until now.

“Be good, I’ll visit you again tomorrow.” Yan Yi caressed Golden Silk Spider’s cheek. “This older brother will also come and visit you. Don’t stay quiet, don’t make this older brother sad.”

Golden Silk Spider lifted his head. He looked at Bai Chunian with watery eyes and nodded.

When they left the ward, Bai Chunian muttered in novelty, “Heh, I came along with you and got the title of gege, it wasn’t a loss.”

“Aren’t you also Lu Yan’s gege?” Yan Yi smiled, patted his head, and left with files in his hand for a meeting.

Bai Chunian raised his hand and rubbed his head. He stood stunned in place for a long time.

Epilogue (2)

The next day. Bai Chunian and Rimbaud came to visit Golden Silk Spider. He wasn’t familiar with them, but because of what the President taught him yesterday, he wasn’t opposed to it.

Bai Chunian did a magic trick for him. A handkerchief was placed on his hand, he quickly grabbed an apple from behind him and stuffed it in, then he lifted the handkerchief—an apple appeared in his palm.

Rimbaud clapped with a deadpan face. “Wa, David Copperfield.”

Golden Silk Spider, “…”

Epilogue (3)

On the third day, Xiao Xun came to accompany him.

The two looked at each other in silence. Golden Silk Spider took out a pair of knitting needles and knitted garments while spewing out silk. He knitted a pair of gloves for both the mummy and Xiao Xun.

Epilogue (4)

On the fourth day, Bi Lanxing accompanied him.

Bi Lanxing saw that Golden Silk Spider had a hard time going to the bathroom, but it wasn’t a good idea to go with him since he was an alpha, so he released vines to hold his hand.

After coming out from the bathroom, Golden Silk Spider sat on Bi Lanxing’s vine, took out the knitting needles, and continued spewing silk and knitting.

By evening when Bi Lanxing was leaving, Golden Silk Spider knitted him five small gloves and put them on the tip of the vines coming out from his five fingers.

Epilogue (5)

On the fifth day, Lu Yan came to accompany him.

In fact, Lu Yan couldn’t even take care of himself, let alone accompany a mentally traumatized patient. After a long time of trying to think of something to say, he finally got discouraged and sat on Golden Silk Spider’s bed and took out his phone to play games.

Unexpectedly, Golden Silk Spider took a liking to Lu Yan as soon as he saw him. He hugged Lu Yan from behind, putting his chin on top of his head. He held the little rabbit and watched him play games.

Once Lu Yan started gaming, he couldn’t help but turn on voice and spit out curses. The teammates matched with him were noobs beyond compare. He carried the game all by himself.

Golden Silk Spider lightly patted him, stroking the perked up rabbit ears. “Don’t get angry.”

Lu Yan suddenly remembered that he was accompanying a patient. He quickly asked, “You wanna play? I’ll teach you.”

Golden Silk Spider carefully said, “I’m scared you’ll call me a noob.”

This was the first time Golden Silk Spider took the initiative to communicate with someone normally.

Epilogue (6)

One month later, Golden Silk Spider cooperated with the Medical Association’s check-up and the Search Department’s questioning.
