Chapter 95 - Enemy's Enemy- A Friend?

At the same time, Lucas was present in his cabin along with Olivia who was standing near the desk. There was absolute silence between them, with no single sound heard.

Both of them were in deep layers of thought, on how to solve the situation in which they have landed themselves.

Lucas's eyes are closed, resting his face against the couch while Olivia took a peek at her phone. Opening it with her hands, she put it on silent but accordingly, switched on the recording option and slid it back into her jean's pocket.

Averting her look back at Lucas, she normalized her facial expressions. Taking a deep breath, she spoke in a sweet tone, "Lucas, have you thought about what you are going to do regarding Jennifer's matter?"

"What can I do? They are asking for the most important thing. No matter what, no one in the family will agree to give up on them for a mere girl like her.."

Somehow, Olivia agreed to his words. His statement is correct. Giving up the family heirloom and Shawn's Brother for Jenifer wasn't worth it.

But it was worth her title and her dignity, as she earlier thought.

"But if we do not agree to what they asked us, we are surely going to lose Jennifer because I feel they won't mind killing her. In the end, we will be getting her dead body and arranging the funeral." Olivia expressed her concern and what she was afraid of the most.

What will happen if Jennifer doesn't get married to Lucas? They will remain wherever they are and...the debts which Lucas has taken will never be repaid.

In the end, one thing was sure that everything will be finished, and raising their name in the world was impossible by then.

Lucas heard her concern but didn't say anything in answer. Crease settled in between his brows, and she can feel he was absorbed within the mess that was rooting near them.

The arrogant and aggressive approach which he has isn't something that she likes.

But now, the situation doesn't only confuse him but also her. 'What will I get if he doesn't marry that girl? I will be left with nothing in my hand..' all the hard work she did, and whatever she suffered will go in vain!!

That was the last thing in Olivia's brain to happen. Convincing was the only solution, not like the heirloom was for her family. "I guess you should consider everything once more."

Finally, he reopened his eyes and shot daggers Olivia's way. A wicked smile played on his lips, which made Olivia's back get wet due to the nervousness. His quick black and brown eye swear so intensively looked in her direction as if she knew that her brain will stop at any moment and she might collapse on the floor.

"I..I don't say anything wr..rong.." her words stumble without making any right sentence. Her confidence crumbled down just with his fierce look towards her.

With all the leftover courage, Olivia took the use of the desk behind her and lowered her eyelids to avoid being attacked and got hurt by his upcoming hard word search direction.

"Olivia.." he called her name in the most devilish way, "This time, we are talking about my family so... mind me, I will never give up and appear to be weak in front of everyone. That bastard Shawn can ask hundred of wishes regarding money...but...giving up on everything is a lewd idea for sure!"

She kept her head low but heard his voice which was filled with fury. Anger was evident on his face, still despising Shawn for whatsoever that he has asked us in return, for Jennifer.

But that wasn't enough.

Shawn specially mentioned that they will consider giving Jennifer back, once fulfill their demands. In the mafia world, you can't trust anyone, and especially your enemy's words.

Taking them lightly is like killing yourself with a bomb.

"I...I know that very well but..you can once consult your family's eldest.." in the middle of their conversation, Lucas's phone vibrated which was lying beside him.

His eyes never moved from her face, but then he answered the call, looking straight at her body, "Hello mom.."

"Come to the house once. Your grandfather and I have something urgent and are set to talk to you. I won't accept any kind of denial so show your face here. Hurry up!"

Luas understood that it would be a waste to try to fight with his mother. In the end, he just left the cabins without exchanging a single word with Olivia.

Just as he departed, Olivia sat on the chair behind her and relaxed.

Earlier, she felt air sucked out of her lungs. As if her breath was one time, not giving her any chance to breathe and keep her calm.

But now, when his silence took over the entire cabin, Olivia breathed in relief. It wasn't rude to say that everything that's happening isn't what she warned them to be.

Taking out her phone, she stopped the recording. Taking a big breath, Olivia stood on her toes and exited the building, Olivia made her way out of the building and started walking on the streets without carrying her backpack.

She kept on walking while lowering her head intentionally to not be recognized by someone.

As she walked for the next twenty minutes, Olivia arrived near an abandoned building. There was no construction going on, and the place was fully secured since it is not on the regular way.

"I'm already here! Come out now." She yelled at the top of her lungs, indicating she is all alone and free of armor.

As per her words, two men showed up out of nowhere wearing a blank masks on their faces. Their faces were covered when they stood closest other and asked, "So, you got what we wanted?"

"Yes! Lucas is stressed. The other people have asked him to give up his heirloom and also, Mr. Shawn's brother. Try to contact Johnsons, if they can extend help to us because this way both parties will benefit."

"They will disclose our identity to Lucas and he will simply throw you out or murder you." The other man commented.

She knew that for whom she is working, is actually dangerous but all that was there in her hands was to tell her superior to go in this direction.

Her smirk widened when she answered back, "No, he won't. Neither will Johnsons reveal my identity, after all, the enemy's enemy is a friend of ours.."
