Chapter 142 - Haven't Found Someone!

As Jennifer got ready in her room, coming downstairs, what came into her view was Javier walking out of the hall, wearing a poker and angry face.

It was totally alarming to her, 'What has happened now that made him react in such a way?'

She has no clue about the reason behind his anger yet leaving him alone wasn't an option either.

Her steps automatically stepped in the other direction, opposite the hall. Walking towards the large garden, what she witnessed was his broad shoulder and back.

"Javier…" with a sweet voice she called his name, gaining his gaze towards her, "Oh. What are you doing here?"

Her eyes figured out that he was furious. Despite his efforts to suppress his anger, he tried to sound calm but failed since she saw through his cover.

"What.. happened just now? Did you have a fight with your family?" Because she can sense something major must have happened otherwise, he won't have left the dining hall in such a sour mood.

A tired sigh escaped his mouth, "Nothing. Let us just forget about it. I don't wanna talk about it."

"You know, telling helps you to get over the matter. Maybe, the reason that you don't share your inner feelings with someone, is exactly the reason behind your misery too?" 

Her words were deep enough to make him understand that she was here for a reason, to ease his pain. 'I haven't shared my pain with anyone in my entire life. Will I be able to do so with her so easily?' he is totally clueless about the same. 

Facing her, all he did as to hug her tightly. A sudden big hug, with him wrapping his hand around her shoulders and neck, keeping his head in her neck pouch, which all of the sudden made her wonder what is so wrong with him? 

Yet, her hands moved at his head and caressed his hair lightly, "Don't worry, everyone will be fine soon. Sometimes our time isn't right but... some or the other day, we will have our own time too." 

"I know that very well. It's just that I'm not used to such turmoil. Living alone made me a strict and lonely man, with no emotions. Coming back to live with them, is always giving rise to the fights and this is why I try to keep myself at a distance from everyone." 

For the very first time, she is hearing him say something related to his family, especially how he feels. 

A flicker appeared on her lips when she realized that he must be in deep sorrow to utter something like that. 

"Because you have complicated family..maybe because of that," she spoke in a lighter voice, enough to be heard by him.

"Yes, you are right. I have been like that for so long so I'm not accustomed to this typical dysfunctional family but sometimes, it gets too much to handle." 

It was evident from his broken voice that he doesn't hate his family but the circumstances have made him shaped into such a person.

Jennifer's heart ached for the man, who is so big and mighty but facing family issues. 

"Why not find someone with whom you can share your worries..Maye with your brother...Charles is always there with you. You both are going through the same situation, living under the same family…."

She felt that they both were pretty much close. Why aren't they talking about their feelings too? 

A faint smile lingered on his face, when his grip tightened around her body, "He has his own wishlist. Neither of us is the one who will talk independently and happily. Instead, it is more likely to say that we both like to keep ourselves at bay, to the limited information." 

'Neither of them is a good listener and advisor… ' this thought surfaced first in her mind after hearing his words. 

It was the only reason why they both don't share their feelings with each other...otherwise what is the problem in sharing and having a talk?

"I understand. But if you had someone in your life then it would have been best. You know, someone with whom you can share your pain.." with this, she constantly carcasses his back with her soft hands. 

"Maybe you are right but….I haven't found anyone in my entire life who will understand my pain and what I have gone through to come here. The past is complicated and has a lot of secrets them too."

Jennifer averted herself a little, although didn't leave his embrace all away but looked into his eyes to see that he was hiding his sentiments and always.

They have a lot of power over her, she can feel the influence yet they were lost in their own deep sea. 

"You are strong enough, to overcome all those issues in your life. I know you at least this much.."

Her words left a deep impact on Javier when he answered back, "You have such deep thoughts regarding me, in such a short period?"

Bringing a bright smile on her lips, Jennifer replied with a lighter tone, "Because I have better knowledge of who is good to me and who isn't. Maybe in the start, I committed some mistakes but I know this… you will not hurt me intentionally." 

"You might be involved in wrong work but you have a heart of gold. Unlike your father, who believes in right and wrong, instead of supporting something blindly. No matter how much you try to act distant and cold, you will always have a soft corner for someone you love and will never leave their hand so as..in the middle road." 

Eye contact was forced between them. No one can keep the deep gaze that kept them intermingled with each other.

There was no stress, no anxiousness, but all that was evident was a surprise and a faint smile. 

"Jennifer.."
