Chapter 156 - Deep Affection!

Javier shouted to remind his brother of what he was saying.

A blush crept on his face which in return brought a smirk on Charles's face. 

"Oh..don't get me wrong! hey! I was only saying to do things in private, not so openly. You know I just walked on you guys but if it was someone else... it would have created blunder.. after whatever that happened last morning."

It wasn't a lie to say that Jennifer's outspokenness last morning did bring a lot of chaos and disliking towards her by most of his family members.

He had no wish to discourage her to show the reality that he might try to overshadow. 

Initially, Javier's blush faded when he reminded himself of what happened early morning when Emily and Jennifer had a fight and the lady pointed a finger at Jennifer's character which wasn't like by him either. 

"If not for her, then I would have stopped her thrown her out of our mansions for sure." was all that Javier spoke but it was easy enough for Charles to understand whom he was referring to in his text. 

"Probably yes you would have done that and it would have been the best step to take. But what about the future Javier? You know that Lucas will not let go of her family at any cost.."

Charles raised his concern since he was the one who is aware of the deep feelings of his brother towards the hostage. 

Moreover, the matter of fact was that those feelings were not a simple fluctuation; rather, she is the one for whom he has sworn to quit all his bad habits for so long!

Javier's lips turned into a strange smile which indicated that he isn't interested to talk about any kind of future, "Let the things run in the flow, how they are right now. Why discuss them right now?"

"Lucas… will not let go of everything until he has Jennifer in his hands. You are aware that she is.. someone for whom he is ready to trade so probably, there are high chances that at the end, we will have to return her back too!"

The words weren't liked by Javier at all. He discovered them to be leed in his eyes as he has no such wish to return Jennifer, after taking a lot of risks already. 

"Brother... Lucas is doing many actions already but you need to know that... he has no courage to attack us. His army doesn't have potential and his economic situation isn't supporting him either."

"Also, I have no intention of giving Jennifer back, stick it in your mind." He was very much clear with his words, stating his intentions were too crystal clear. 

Neither does he wishes, nor will he let anything like this happen, especially when he is aware that there is not any kind of love between Lucas and Jennifer.

Noting his brother's straight-cut answer, Charles let a tired sigh.

No, he wasn't worried only for his brother but also because the mess is much bigger than they think it to be.

Lucas will not stop at the bay, neither will his brother.

Won't this declare a war for a girl itself? 

'So this makes both the men... do in love?' He was kept at bay about information that Lucas doesn't have something romantic for Jennifer.

Yet he had no idea that Lucas is after Jennifer for some motive.

Although Javier himself wasn't aware of the same, he knows that Lucas has major to hide, otherwise he won't have bent his knees this time.

In the trunk of the car, Jennifer was residing her head on the surface of the boot space.

It was hard to hold the knife by the inner hand to make sure that it doesn't fall, otherwise, the backspace of the trunk will open and she might end up falling from the running car itself.

But was she was confused about the talks that both the brothers shared.

'This car.. was theirs? Shit! I have landed myself in the most dreadful situation for sure!'

She can't believe her own faith, finding herself locked in their car when they both are at the front seats., who have the highest chances of finding her in this condition.

Relief washed over her when she realized that they have left the mansion's campus and knew the car will stop when they reach the location, something which was satisfactory enough for her. 

At the same time, when her ears heard the words being exchanged between the two men sitting inside of the car, her heart was squeezed all of the sudden by the imagination wondering twice why has Javier had so deep affection towards her? 

Since she is in the trunk, the voice wasn't exactly clear but it was enough to hear some distant worlds.

Catching the words, she tried to comprehend a meaning out of the sentence, from the words she has heard. 

'Looks like they're talking about life and Lucas.. Gosh..when will we arrive?'

With the lack of light, she was faced with some issues but now that she has taken the risk, what all mattered was to execute it properly. 

"We will see brother, what happened in the near future. Will Lucas let Jennifer go or not because I have my all eyes on him and his every situation"

A short and crisp reply made Charles understand that his brother has designed a mind map already.

It was simple to know that he isn't willing to reveal it yet, but on the right.

The same was heard by Jennifer and she can't believe that Javier has some long plannings too. 

'My guess wasn't wrong, this man is actually smart and knows what is wrong nor right..' 

A faint smile appeared on her face and it never fades with time.

God knows how many hours have passed since she was locked here until she heard a distant voice once again of Charles from the front. 

"We have arrived... looks like Lucas's man is standing on the other side of the partition.."
