Chapter 183 - Ryan Will Drop You!

Meanwhile, Amaira was getting ready to attend university.

Taking her bag with her, filled with books and a laptop, she descended the stairs.

At the entrance, her eyes fell on the butler who looked worried.

Stepping closer, she asked in a curious voice, "Is everything alright? What are you doing here?"

"Ms. Johson, good morning." The butler greeted at the sight of hers to which she nodded from her way.

But she was still persistent on her question, "Any worry?"

He brought a faint smile on his face, when he spoke in the most guilty tone, "I'm sorry Ms. Johnson but your driver is on a week's holiday from today. This totally slipped out of my mind... I..am really very sorry."

Rather than getting angry, Amaira understandably nodded he head.

She knew that the Butter was also getting older by each day, and it was normal for him to forget such minor things.

"It's totally fine. I will take the cab to reach on time. Do not worry, I will take my leave." With this, Amaira was ready to step out of the mansion but before that, her mother's voice came from behind.

"Amaira! Are you going to school with the local cabs!?!" Her back faced her mother and at this point, all Amaira did was roll her eyes. 'What an early morning headache..'

"I asked you something! where are you going?" Shirley once again asked, in her most angry tone, jumping to the conclusion after hearing what she had talked with Butler.

"To the university. Why? Do you now want me to drop out of it?" Amaira answered with the most distant and mocking voice.

If she had the control, she would have literally run out of this place to avoid her mother at any cost!

Without turning around, she simply stood with a sustainable look on her entire face.

She was constantly tired with her mother's constant nagging which was supposed to come now, "So.. why to communicate with cabs!?"

Taking a step in her direction, she stood near her and the butler. "When is your driver that takes you regularly?"

"Mrs. Johson, he is on a week's holiday. I will try to call him today.. but Ms. Jobsons said that she has to leave immediately.." Butler sounded apologetic but surely didn't sound too good.

The displeasure was evident on her face, making an expression showing Shirley didn't like Butler's existence at all.

Only if she was able to fire this butler, she would have. After all, he wasn't her person and doesn't think highly of her.

But at the same time, she shifted her attention back to Amaira, who found it too ridiculous after hearing her words.

"Are we now so low that Johnson's daughter will now travel in cabs!?" Shirley's pitch was loud enough, making her feel the headache come in her head throughout.

Bringing a bright smile on her face, Amaira finally turned around to face her mother with a narrowed eyes, "Obviously no! How can we be counted in low people? But let me remind you mom, the local cabs.. which you are calling low, then recall what your father and my grandfather used to do when I was just born."

Her words sent Shirley in shock.

It took her by surprise when Amaira had the guts to bring her depth part in between the conversation, especially to remind her about her poor status before marriage in the Johnsons.

Anger took a toll over her head to give her this sharp reply.

"As if you're forgetting all the manners then! Is this how you talk about deceased people?" Shirley's turned bloodshot but Amaira least cared, "Just letting your brain run through a memory lane. Grandfather was also a taxi driver.. before you married into his lavish house. He was the one who raised you with his hard-earned money today.. you are calling this professional slow!? Such A tribute to grandfather then!"

The starting sarcasticness wasn't missed either.

Shirley was burning in the pit of fire when her hands turned red by holding the tip of her nails.

Thousands of situations passed through her mind and they are ready to come on her lips too.

Yet, Charles, who was currently on a call, appeared on time. "What is happening here? What kind of nonsense talks early in the morning?"

Butler bowed slightly when Charles made his way towards them and looked at each one of them through his around eyes.

Lowering his phone, his eyes never tore from that of Amaira. "Aren't You supposed to leave?"

"Yeah. But this beautiful mother of mine.. is too much noise." She said, as a displeasure look plastered on her face

Amaira gave her mother a fierce gaze to return the same, "Charles.. dear, I asked her simply to not take the look cabs but she is behaving like a child and not understanding that."

A frown curved Charles's face, "Why do you need to take the cab? Don't We have enough drivers to take you there?"

This time, butler interfered in the middle to describe the situation.

Hearing the detail, Charles nodded his head in agreement with what Shirley had earlier said, although his way of thinking was entirely different.

"I don't know why this mother of yours said with the situation. But I believe you should not go via the cabs since we don't know the situation there. That will be risking your life."

Her brother's words were at least reasonable.

It gave her a better view to understanding the entire situation but Amaira was in another dilemma.

"But.. I can't miss my classes too.." Amaira's face crumbled at the thought of missing her classes, there would be too much work and backlog which she might have to complete later on!

"Then…" At the same time, Charles's gaze swept across the entrance where he saw two people entering their villa and immediately.

A faint smile appeared on his lips whe he blurted out.

"I guess Ryan will drop you at the university today, right Ryan?"
