Chapter 251 - Marriage Duties!

Javier's eyebrows were raised upwards, "Why would I be unhappy? Not like I cared about that engagement at all.."

"Seriously?" She found it more amusing to hear this out of her ears, "As far as the ring, which you made her wore, wasn't as beautiful as mine. Was it?"

She clearly remembered the ring which Javier made Emily wear. It was of diamond plated with gold and silver. Yet, she found the ring slid from him into her finger.

Although she had no idea what kind of ruby it was embedded into her ring, despite the that she loved it to her core.. "Not at all. The ring which you're wearing is the most beautiful one.. and contains much  more to it."

Javier answered with a serious face, showing utmost confidence which wasn't missed by Jennifer.

This brought a smile on her face, which contained a lot of satisfaction as well, "Perfect."

With this, Jennifer stepped out of the bathroom when she made her way to the nearby small bar inside the room. Javier followed behind her when his voice was heard, "Jennifer at least, hear me out, what I wish to say to you.."

"Nothing left to say or define," Jennifer told in between her breath. Unfortunately, Javier wasn't convinced by the way she behaved at this point.

Holding her arm, he made her swiftly turn around to face him, "Let me at least say what I have to sag."

Raising Her face slightly, did she comment back, "Neither do I, not you have much time. You have done what you wanted to do. Ruining my life was a well-planned drama, wasn't it?"

"Do you seriously think that I will marry you using your status as Lucas's bride.. and having nothing, no feelings from my side?" The words were heavy when Jennifer sensed that he was damn serious to answer in a husky voice.

He might speak the brutal truth but she knew that her instincts were also overlapping the truth. Pushing him away, she yelled, "Yes! If I meant something to you, would you tell me about your engagement and what you have inside your mind!"

"If I had, I'm sure you won't have agreed on it, Jennifer…." What she saw afterward was him letting out a tired sigh.

Not only tired but the feeling of being broke and not able to respond to him, 'why does my heart feel like a plague after witnessing him in such a state?'

She was a hell of confused but didn't let it come on the surface itself. Rather, Jennifer walked to the nearby bar and took one of the glass and alcohol bottles.

Noting that she was amended about drinking,  Javier had no idea how to deal with this girl anymore. He knew that he had to tell the truth otherwise she would break and revoke even more again.

'Cmon Javier. For how long can you make her a fool? Sooner or later the day, this was supposed to happen..' he knew that he had kept her in the dark about many things.

Neither does he have plans of telling them all at once but the start can be done already. Taking a deep breath, he said "Jennifer… in this state.."

"...I already know about the rules Javier," Jennifer said as her grip tightened around the glass from which she took a sip. "I know that polygamy is practiced here.  There is no need to apprise me about this anymore.."

His eyes were all wide with horror consumed him. Nothing could matter anymore since it was the biggest shock he heard from her today, "Y..You know about it?"

"Hm… that's why I never made a mess downstairs. Otherwise, do you think that I would have stood to hang out?" She wasn't like the one and if he takes her to be, then he is absolutely wrong in this.

"Weren't you going to do it anyway?" Javier remembered how he had to signal his brother to stop her from uttering anything which wasn't appropriate at that time.

However, this never crossed his mind that she would be actually aware of this rule.. which he never told her about.

Taking Another sip out of her glass, she replied with a mist, "Tsk Tsk. You are badly caught, aren't you."

With these words, Jennifer turned around to face the bar and kept on drinking the rest of the drink present in her glass. At this point when Javier was out of his daze did he realize that she was going out of her tolerance level at this point.

"Jennifer at least not anymore. You have drunk enough when you were down.." as his eyes never left her figure, he knew that it was hard to control her whenever she was feeling tipsy.

But it was of no use since Jennifer paid no heads to him anymore.," Go away, you bastard! Let me drink in peace.."

"Will drinking heal your broken heart?" Javier was already aware of her way of not keeping a check on her health. Walking towards her, he tried to snatch the glass from her, unfortunately, her grip was tighter than before.``You already got engaged without consulting me.. but I can't even  drink as per my own liking?"

"You can drink as much as you want but today…" as Knowing that it will not even heal your heart and you hate drinking too. But he left the second half stay in his breath itself and tried his best to get the hold of her glass

Instead, Jennifer didn't answer, rather she moved towards him, and brought her face, near his, "Do you want to know what will mend my broken heart then?"

The tone of hers was already making him feel a slight level of dreadness in the back of his mind. The warm breeze that roughed on his neck was enough to send him to the world of uneasiness.

"Wh..what?"

"Let us go ahead with our marriage duties  shall we?"
