Chapter 377 - Revelation(1)

Hearing Charles's words made Shawn's mood turn gloomy. 

But at the same time, his lips were sealed as he didn't let any word slip out of his mouth. 

Breaking from his father's embrace, Charles once again started to move back and forth in the uneasiness. The stress level was high as he recalled all the happy moments he had spent with his brother. 

Not only that, he knew somewhere that things have changed since Jennifer is missing! 

When both of them were all alone in the hospital, did Ellen and Ryan finally also reach the hospital. Along with them, tagged Amaira who was hell out of shocked after hearing her brother being admitted to the operation theater. 

Going near her brother, she, first of all, hugged him tightly before she lifted her head to look at him, "H-How..did this all happen?

"We have no idea for now. All we know is that Javier...is badly injured and..Jennifer is missing." Charles answered with a bit of an annoyance and frustrated tone. 

As expected, Amaira's heart started to thunder in her chest. She simply kept her head in her brother's embrace to avoid these sentiments when Ellen and Ryan came from behind her. 

"Mr. Johnson, how is this possible? Javier always has a gun with him and...who will even try to attack him in his own state?" Ryan asked with disbelief written over their faces. 

In response to the same, it was Ellen who answered, "There is someone who has betrayed us. I'm sure that no one will be able to go after Javier's and Jennifer until...someone come from outside." 

"What do you mean by this, Ellen?" Charles's eyebrows lifted off their place when he heard Ellen's comments.

It did make a lot of sense to think, but Shawn was already sensing some sweat lingering across his forehead. His throat was going dry when he remembered how he had dealt with everything behind everyone's back.

Coughing a bit, he gains everyone's attention to say, "We should, for now, stop discussing what could have happened with him. Let's just pray that Javier comes out as soon as possible."

Ryan and Ellen had no wish to disobey the elder master Johnson but Charles's frown kept on deepening. His gaze never tore from Ellen's face which was facing the ground.

Yet, Charles kept himself mum and didn't react to the same, at least for now. However, when everyone was settled at the place and was already distracted, did he nudge Ellen to ask, "Let us go outside. I have things to discuss.."

"Hmm..Alright." Saying this, Ellen's gaze traveled to see Ryan as he told him, "I will be out for some outside. If there is anything, give me a call." 

In return, Ryan nodded his head and didn't ask multiple questions either. 

Both Charles and Ellen did walk outside of the hospital. It was all dark in the night when people were coming either to meet their patients or someone else. 

But then, Charles signaled him to walk to his car since the talk is kind of sensitive. 

Ellen didn't deny either when he silently followed him behind. After sitting inside the car, Ellen finally lifted his eyes to break the thick silence between them, "What happened, brother Charles?"

"What was your car doing with Javier?"

Charles can never forget that when he found Javier, there was no sign of Javier's car but that of Ellen. Javier's car was bulletproof and can handle major accidents as well. 

But why will Javier not travel in his car rather take the car of his friend? 

Ellen took a deep breath before he fixed his eyes back to Charles, "I had received a call from Javier when he told me that he was being followed by a few people. In fact, they actually fired at him and it was Jennifer who helped them to escape since her skills were good."

"He called me at the Endpoint, where we both exchanged the cars. Javier told me that he has some work to do and needs to go somewhere urgently and I had already asked our team to investigate who they were." 

After Charles heard the explanation, the frown on his forehead never faded. It only increased with the worry when he felt that someone actually kept the audacity to follow Javier's car and actually fire at him! 

"But why did Javier not all any of us...?" Charles muttered in his distress to which Ellen replied, "Because he told me that he had some urgent work to do. Although I didn't know about that, I saw him keeping some documents in the car..." 

"Documents?" Charles can't understand at all, "What kind of documents were these?" 

"I..I...don't wanna say brother Charles but...Javier is actually,,.." Ellen found it extremely hard to disclose what he saw. 

Despite the fact that Javier never told him but I married, it didn't mean his team will not disclose the same. 

He knew, long before but he kept his mouth shut and never confronted Javier about the same. But the stammering made Charles finally answer himself, "...Married?"

"You knew about this as well?" Ellen surprisingly asked with the dividend shock written on his face. 

In response, he got a nod from his side when Charles finally revealed, "Javier told me he married Jennifer..but it was this much itself..."

"If both Javier and Jennifer had gone out together then where is Jennifer now?" Charles knew perfectly that Javier had kidnapped Jennifer and out of the blue, she is also now missing. 

Where can the lady go?! 

And the first and foremost thing that Javier will ask when he wakes up is..where is Jennifer? His wife?  To which, Charles has no answer prepared by himself. 

But this wasn't the last thing since Ellen dropped another bomb, "Even Hannah is not there at the home, Jenifer's best friend. It is rarely strange. Something is very much amiss in this all.."

"I agree.." Charles nodded his head in agreement. 

He brought his hands near his mouth when his mind worked in all the directions when he gave them all a possible outlook. 

But who can be such a big threat to them who dared to do this condition of Javier..fire bullets at him?  And kidnap Jennifer out from their clutches? 

And then, Ellen's phone rang. He took the same out of his pocket to open it as he saw the dialer. 

Looking at the brother besides him, he said, "It's my team members..." 

"Pick it up. And put it on the speaker.."
