Chapter 452 - Let's Get Divorce!

"Charles is here?" Sierra asked, with an unbelievable face.

In her mind, she could never imagine that Charles would bring her to her room rather than take her to any hospital.

Remembering that she must have fainted due to the excess of blood loss..or maybe the shock she received, but it is never true hearing about the possibilities about Charles.

In response, Ailey nodded her head with the same enthusiasm, "He is. He has been taking care of us since he arrived. He brought two white color people...I had no idea who they were?" Ailey gave the mother the details, which in turn made Sierra's lips turn into a straight line.

Subconsciously, she rotated her head to look out of the window, finding that it must be already dark. 'But what was the need to bring me here in this condition?'

But on second thought, she was thankful that he had taken care of the children in her unconscious state.

In fact, as described, he must have called the doctor for her.

Sierra's eyes went across to find the bandages around her left bicep. It may all make sense, and soon, she heard the footsteps of the man approaching her room.

Lifting her eyes, she looked at the door to find Charles standing there, whereas Noah ran and sat back at his position beside Sierra. "I called uncle Charles, sister.."

"Uncle, mum has woken up now!" It was Ailey who told him, with her eyes sparkling. "You wanted me to inform you mom woke up, she did!"

"Good Ailey.." Charles gave her a faint assured smile and he rubbed her head when Ailey had walked towards him.

Afterward, he took a few steps, to come near the bed and stand by Sierra's side. "How are you feeling now?"

"Stiff. It hurts in the bicep," she told him honestly, without even hiding a single thing.

"It will hurt for some time. The doctor had already checked and said that the bullet just passed. You had fainted due to the emotional turmoil. But it'll be fine..as long as you rest." Charles explained, keeping the same clam.

In response, Sierra smiled but she had tried her best to surge her feelings. His presence in her house was itself a burden to overcome.

However, then she once again looked straight in his direction, to question, "Why did you bring me to my home"

"Because of your safety." was the small answer from his side, making her lips go dry.

All she did was pass him a small nod since Sierra could guess that nothing must be safe for her right now.

A deep tired sigh escaped from her lips. Lifting her eyes again, she rotated her head to shift her attention to Noah, who had hardly spoken anything, "Why are you so numb?" she can't help but ask.

"You were hurt.." Noah's face converted into a pout with his eyes circling into the softball.

To this, Sierra lifted her right arm as she rubbed his hair. A faint yet genuine smile had plastered on her lips, where she could only sense that everyone was scared to death.

Despite not knowing what happened, Ailey and Noah are smart enough that their mother is injured..and very badly.

At this point, Sierra couldn't even imagine how these two pumpkins of hers must have handled themselves after witnessing her state.

"Do not worry, your mum is fine now."

"Yes! Mum will be fine, that other uncle said before he left." Sierra gave a nod to Ailey's words.

To lift their mood, she had started to converse with them in a much happier manner, while Charles only witnessed all of the trees of their interaction.

Without even saying a single thing, he could find immense joy in the same. It is hard to define his feelings except that it did give him joy. 'She is injured..but she is still worried about her children's unhappy faces..' and a True mother thing he found in her.

All Charles did was stare at his ex-girlfriend, who was now involved with her children. Her children... it did hurt him but the smile on her and the children's face was enough to compensate for that hurt.

However, Charles has soon pulled off the daze when he heard the ring tone. It was Sierra's phone which was ringing and Ailey rushed to the other side of the bed to pick up her mobile phone to see the dialer.

"It is dada!" She exclaimed, with her teeth shining brighter than the sun.

Yet, immediately, Sierra's head moved to see Charles's expressions, finding him still, in the awkward situation that occurred.

Moreover, his hand had converted into a fist, where he had reluctantly told her, "I will go and..prepare soup for you in the kitchen. You guys have talks.."

"Charles..." Sierra muttered his name, under her breath.

But it was insufficient for him to hear since he had hurriedly left the room and closed the door behind.

While Sierra's heart was throbbing against her chest, she couldn't help but bite her lower lip. "Moma, daddy's phone..you should pick it up.." Ailey told her while passing her the phone.

Pulling her attention, Sierra took the phone from Ailey's hand with mixed emotions, with the same shocked expressions. "H-helo?"

"Sierra....I got to hear about everything.." Jack spoke from the other side, making him dig her hands into the bed. "Jack... you have nothing to worry about..."

"There are many things to worry about. They are after you now, because of me." Jack sounded aloof, and Sierra could easily sense it from his tone.

While Sierra was covered with sweat, she knew that it was possible to hide anything from Jack. But on the second note, she can't blame him either.

It was his family's lineage who is after both of them..

"Jack..you don't have to feel guilty. I told you, I will handle everything here. Trust me..."

"I have already put you much in danger, Sierra. But not anymore..." She heard his words, but it was enough to make her eyes wide.

Without even listening to the rest of his statement, she had vividly imagined what he was going to say next. "-You..aren't.."

"I'm coming there. Let us get divorced as soon as possible now.. Let's settle things once and for all."
