“Alright, let’s get down to business. You are a lucky man. I happened to have a friend who is in desperate need of cash because he is going overseas and wants to sell away his bungalow. I’ve been to his place and the surroundings are great, but it’s just a little far away from the city. I’m not sure how the future development around the area would be. It’s a double story bungalow with a garden on the second floor. He built this place two years ago and all the furniture is imported. He’s selling it for CNY800,000… If only I had enough money, I would’ve bought it in an instant.”
CNY800,000 was a lot in the 90s.
There weren’t many commercial housings available and the terms and conditions to get a loan were difficult to meet. Since the owner of the bungalow was selling it in a hurry, it made sense that he would require an immediate payment on the full amount.
Based on Luo Tianyuan’s estimates, CNY800,000 was enough for him to buy two properties. Now, the issue was whether he should buy a bungalow or two properties with the money he hd allocated.
“You can think about it. I can accompany you on a viewing of the house whenever you want within these two days.” Guo Weikang awkwardly smiled and continued, “Not going to lie, when my friend heard that you were interested in buying the house, he rang me up numerous times to ask about you. It’s not easy to sell away such an expensive property these days, and people who can afford to buy it usually dislike staying in second-hand homes. You know how some people find it to be a taboo.”
“Will you be getting a commission if I were to buy the property?” Luo Tianyuan asked.
Guo Weikang laughingly scolded, “What do you think? It’s not like I’m a property agent. The truth is, I’m pursuing the owner’s younger cousin, so I must work hard to seal the deal. This is a well-built bungalow. He wouldn’t be selling it if he weren’t desperate for money and going overseas soon.”
Luo Tianyuan decided that he’ll bring his daughter along for the viewing. After all, this bungalow was for her. Even though she was still young, he believed that she could contribute to the final decision in her own way.
Luo Shuyan and Shen Yan were walking around the restaurant. Everything they saw looked good and they didn’t know what to choose.
They weren’t sure why they found Jing City’s food to be extraordinarily good, perhaps they were too hungry. The cakes were intricately decorated, and they had a free flow of drinks… The residents of this city were blessed.
Luo Tianyuan had planned to bring them to the flag raising ceremony. However, the children had been on the train for too long, so even though they had the habit of sleeping and waking up early, they weren’t able to wake up at 4AM. Thus, his postponed his plans. After breakfast, Guo Weikang drove to pick them up for the viewing.
To avoid going out of character, Luo Tianyuan told the little children, “Uncle Guo wants to buy a house, but he can’t make up his mind, so I’m going with him to check things out.”
Luo Shuyan wholeheartedly sighed. “Uncle Guo is a capable man!”
‘…I’m not, I really am not. Your father is the one who is capable,’ Guo Weikang thought.
The bungalow wasn’t located in the city center, so it was relatively far away.
“There are very few bungalows in the city center. Tianyuan, let me tell you, don’t just focus on the fact that this place is further away from the city. I heard that the Feng shui of this place is extraordinarily good. The people who stay in this area are either CEOs or big shots… you know what I mean. Birds of the same flock fly together; you’ll have the same luck as them when you live near them. Anyway, there isn’t anything to dislike about this place, other than it being a little pricier and a little further away from the city. But you need to remember that it is expensive for a reason.”
“Also, there is a hot spring nearby. So, the residents of this area get to enjoy free water from the hot springs in their own jacuzzies. Isn’t that quite a relaxing amenity to have?”
“Plus, I’ve asked around and found out that the property management of this area is on-call 24/7. The area is also very safe, I heard that the guards that they employ are people who can actually fight.”
“This friend of mine is very into Feng shui. He invited many Feng shui masters to advise him on the placings of his furniture when he built the place. He ensured that the layout of his house will bring him great prosperity and wealth. I don’t really believe in all this, but I’ve seen the interior design of his house, and I must admit that it does look good.”
Shen Yan, who was in the back seat, straightened his back when he heard all this.
On the other hand, Luo Shuyan was eating a lollipop while she looked out the window. She didn’t pay attention to whatever Guo Weikang was saying. All she knew was that Uncle Guo was quite rich, and she couldn’t care less about him.
Shen Yan, however, could tell that something was up.
‘Uncle Guo is the one who is looking to buy a house. Why was he explaining everything to Uncle Luo in such detail?’
‘And why did he sound so familiar?’
