Guo Weikang was delighted. He treated them to a meal in the name of the owner of the bungalow and he also purposely made a trip to McDonalds to buy hamburgers, fries, and coke for the kids.

Luo Shuyan realized that Shen Yan seemed out of it the entire time. She assumed that he was merely missing his mother.

The purpose of Luo Tianyuan’s visit was also to settle some business agreements. Over the years, he had traveled around the country and grew more knowledgeable. A good friend of his told him that for the past half a year, an entrepreneur has been trying to find investors to establish an internet services company. This was a field that no one had ever heard of, thus, it wasn’t easy to find investors.

Luo Tianyuan’s friend was a tech-junkie. He wasn’t rich, but he was a huge fan of the new company’s vision. The company had nothing to do with him, but he started to go around pitching the idea to everyone he knew right after he heard about the idea of the company. In the end, he managed to drag Luo Tianyun to Jing City to see him.

He even enthusiastically promised that as long as Luo Tianyuan became a shareholder in the company, he would become one of the wealthiest men in China.

He called Luo Tianyuan almost every day, so Luo Tianyuan came all the way to Jing City to entertain his friend.

He had purchased a warrant in 1992, he had also met a lecturer in university who was an expert in that field. The two of them were good friends and the lecturer lived in Jing City. He learnt a lot from this lecturer; a lot of which he couldn’t have learnt from the books. He could tell this was a great opportunity, and since he was a risk taker, he was willing to bet on this company. If he were to win, it would be great. If not, it didn’t matter, he could start again.

After all, back then, he had used all his money to buy a warrant. At that time, not many people purchased it, and when the demand for the warrant increased, he realized that he had hit the jackpot.

After making his big buck, he traveled south to set up a factory and a company. Thereafter, monetary wealth flooded his life.

In regards to the future of the company, Luo Tianyuan was leaning towards three industries, namely the entertainment industry, the real estate market, and internet business.

After dinner, it was time for Luo Tianyuan to head to the business meeting. He told Luo Shuyan and Shen Yan to stay in the hotel room while he went for work.

The services in the hotel were amazing. The hotel staff sent them fruits and drinks after a call to the reception.

Luo Shuyan had eaten lunch and another hamburger, so she was very full. She lied on the sofa like a little pig who was unwilling to move.

Shen Yan furrowed his brows and started pondering. Luo Shuyan took the initiative to say, “If you miss your mom, you can use the hotel phone, it’s free.”

Shen Yan was a very frugal person.

Aunty Shen had given him quite an amount to spend, but he didn’t use any of it.

Oh wait, he did, he had used 5 cents. When Luo Tianyuan was chatting with Guo Weikang just now, Luo Shuyan had been staring outside at the freezer of the convenience store. Shen Yan knew what she was thinking and went out to buy a chocolate ice-cream stick for her.

Thus, Shen Yan was surprised when he heard her voice. After all, he’d been living in his own world the entire time.

He looked like he was hesitant to speak when he looked at her.

Luo Shuyan didn’t know what to do, but she didn’t have a good feeling about this. “Do you need to go back to Ning City immediately because you miss your mom?”

Shen Yan was at a loss for words. “I’m not sure if I should tell you about something.”

“Then I don’t think you should tell me.” Luo Shuyan shivered. “The eunuchs from movies always tell the Emperor that…” she paused before continuing in a tone that imitated the high-pitched voice of an eunuch, “Emperor, this lowly one isn’t sure if I should say something.”

“Anyway, nothing good ever happens when someone says this,” she concluded.

Shen Yan wanted to laugh but he held back.

“Then, forget it,” he said coolly.

However, based on Luo Shuyan’s personality, if Shen Yan were to not tell her, she would become very curious about what he had to say.

She waited for a moment. She expected Shen Yan to react like a child; children couldn’t keep things to themselves, if they did, they’d feel horrible. Yet, he didn’t feel bad, instead, he continued to watch the news on TV…

Why was this child acting this way!!
