Chapter 133 - Jealous

Li Xiangjun gained an inexplicable trust in Yue Jiaojiao when she heard what she said. However, when she looked at Fang Tianliu, she had a face of distrust. “Alright then, let’s leave it at that for now.

As she spoke, she raised her chin. “In any case, only the chief knows about this matter besides us. This engagement doesn’t count at all.”

“But…” Li Xiangjun hesitated for a moment, “I’ll still have to thank you. You still offered, a man’s reputation is equally important. I can’t pretend to not acknowledge that. I was being rude just now. I hope you don’t mind.”

Fang Tianliu walked in front of Li Xiangjun with a smile on his face. “You’re welcome. I did this willingly. I don’t blame you. You’ve never even met me before.”

Yue Jiaojiao simply couldn’t bear to watch the scene.

Fang Tianliu is an id*ot.

“It’s getting late, let’s eat first.” Zhao Zhan walked over and held his lover’s wrist, pulling her to sit beside him. “Jiaojiao, aren’t you hungry?”

Yue Jiaojiao looked at him in understanding. “Were you jealous when I talked to Xiangjun?”

Zhao Zhan didn’t say a word. He only used a little more force to hold her waist and coughed uncomfortably.

“Okay let’s eat!” Fang Tianliu wanted to try to interject the couple. He moved around Li Xiangjun like a monkey and spoke, “Xiangjun, should we sit down?”

“Don’t get mad. I’m just afraid that the chief will send someone to test us. If I keep calling you Miss Li, I’m sure that they’ll be suspicious, so you have to get used to it first.”

Li Xiangjun was suspicious. “Really?”

“Of course, it’s true.” Fang Tianliu nodded his head vigorously. “I’m very smart.”

Manager Li listened to their conversation and chose to turn a blind eye.

Xiangjun had the heart of a child. If she really developed feelings for Fang Tianping, it might not be a bad thing. In the past, Fang Tianliu might have been a jerk, but after working with Zhao Zhan’s crew, he had a more developed mindset. Fang Tianliu even looked much more reliable.

During lunch, Fang Tianliu was a little bit too attentive to his fake fiance. With his many years of experience, he managed to overwhelm Li Xiangjun, who had never left the mountain gaze.

These two people bantered back and forth constantly.

Since Li Xiangjun no longer loathed Fang Tianliu, Yue Jiaojiao told Li Xiangjun about her plan to renovate the shop and let her and Fang Tianliu do it.

She and Zhao Zhan went to the blacksmith’s shop to take the trays and then handed it to the master who set up the oven.

The oven had just been set up and still could not be used; it had to dry and harden for a while longer.

After being busy for half a day, Yue Jiaojiao was exhausted.

“Jiaojiao,” Zhao Zhan carried her on his back and walked back to the house with steady steps. “Take a nap. I’ll help you wash up when we get home. I won’t let you lie on the bed dirty.”

Lying on his back, Yue Jiaojiao let out a lazy grunt. “Zhao Zhan, are you thinking of buying meat while I’m asleep?” she asked.

“If you don’t want me to go, then I won’t go,” Zhao Zhan said with a smile. “When you wake up, I’ll carry you back.”

“Just so you know, when you’re using the oven to make dried meat, don’t forget about my grilled pig trotters.” Yue Jiaojiao closed her eyes, her entire body feeling drowsy. “I want to eat it when I wake up.”

“I’ll make it for you,” Zhao Zhan replied seriously. “I’ll also roast ribs for you.”

Yue Jiaojiao rubbed against the back of his neck like a cat.

Back at the house, Zhao Zhan first took off her outer shirt before carefully placing her on the bed. Then, he took a warm handkerchief to wash her hands and face. Just as he reached the door, he took big strides back and devoutly kissed Yue Jiaojiao’s soft lips.

Zhao Zhan had ordered the meat from the meat stall in the morning and asked him to help keep it. Now, he could directly take the meat and bring it back to the shop.

Fang Tianliu and Li Xiangjun wanted to help when they saw Zhao Zhan carrying so much meat over.

“Xiangjung, don’t move. I’ll help Zhao Zhan carry it.”
