Well to clarify some matters here
As you can see, Shen Yu has no blood relationship with Shen Chen’s father.
He was adopted/picked up by the Shen husband and wife as a baby before Mama Shen died.
But since he was picked up, he was considered to be part of the family.
Additionally he should have been recorded in the family genealogy as Mama Shen’s child.
So he should have been the eldest son of the Shen2 family.
Even if he’s not related to them by blood, he has some rights as the child of the first wife. But his shares were taken away and he was thrown out of the house by his stepmother.
