Chapter 130 Invasion

Those three landed in an area where most of the enemy soldiers were located, which was the eastern part of the city. It was convenient for Aion, but it wasn't some opportunity granted by luck. The enemies were there because of the proximity to the eastern gate.

While they didn't say anything, Jagger and Vanessa waited for Aion to use his magic. After touching the ground, he made his mana spread across the area, and with his high level of magic, it spread a lot more than Aion had expected. He basically found the locations of everyone in a five hundred meters radius. He also found two suspicious presences two hundred meters away.

"Now that I think about it, I never tried to check the presence of those mutated individuals," Aion thought. "Their overall presence is the same, but they have a weird aura surrounding them. Almost like something way too different from them…"

"They are two hundred meters away from here, in an inn," Aion said. "I used half of my mana to find them, but I can recover that in fifteen minutes."

"We will wait," Jagger said. "We will be fine if we wait for half an hour after a meal."

"What if they move?" Vanessa asked.

"They took the city two days ago, and more of them are coming; they still must be celebrating, and their guards won't be raised until we try something," Jagger explained.

Vanessa nodded, and Aion changed his class to Mage to recover his mana faster. He turned around to hide from them the Magic Staff showed up. Regardless, once he finished recovering his mana, Aion confirmed that they didn't change their location.

The eastern gate was two hundred meters away. If Aion focused his attack in that direction while trying to freeze the entire inn, he would freeze the gate, but not a lot of soldiers will be killed during the attack… They won't be able to interfere or leave the city at first, so Aion thought that it was fine for the time being… You can't have your cake and eat it at the same time.

The group moved to the back of the inn after flying for a short while, and despite the tension, they hid their killing intent completely. Aion began to focus… He had to attack and think of attacking in a short window of time in order not to give the enemies a chance to react.

After his focus reached its limits, Aion attacked. A powerful blast of ice magic was fired toward the eastern gate and froze everything up to that point.

Despite the situation, around two hundred enemies were killed. Still, in the next moment, they found two figures jumping in front of that building. In the short window of time that Aion emitted his bloodlust, they escaped the building and the blast. While they were in the air, Aion and Jagger jumped toward them.

Aion used Inner Force and then attacked the swordsman with a powerful strike aimed at his stomach, but that guy blocked it with his sword. His long weapon somehow absorbed the power of the attack, but he still was thrown beyond the wall.

Jagger didn't have as much as raw strength as Aion, but he managed to attack the archer with his Ki Explosion. He blocked some of the attacks with his bow as well, but he still was pushed beyond the wall. Aion and Jagger quickly followed them while Vanessa emitted some flames through her hands that propelled herself upward.

She found those two jumping toward the wall, and when they landed, they saw the enemies in front of the camp. The archer suffered some damage, but the swordsman was fine.

"You take the archer," Aion said. "Vanessa should offer us fire support."

There was no time to argue, so they nodded and then moved toward the enemies. The swordsman was a man who was two and a half meters tall. He had long wavy black hair. Despite the fact that he was carrying a sword that was pretty thick and two meters long, he was only wearing chainmail as protective gear. His sword didn't look to be a magic item. It was just a big and thick ordinary broadsword, so Aion wondered how he could attack enemies from far away…

The archer was a bit shorter and slimmer, but he had several items equipped on him that increased his defense. Boots, gauntlets, a red breastplate… all of those seemed to be magic items. In any case, he had spiked, short green hair and Aion frowned while looking at it. His eyes were also green, just like his bow… in any case, they managed to surprise the enemies, and one of them barely had any protective gear, so they had to capitalize on that.

As soon as he landed, Aion charged at the enemy and then swung his hammer. The enemy blocked the attack, and he was pushed a few centimeters backward. He frowned at the strength of the attack, but he frowned, even more when he saw Aion's appearance…

"You must be Aion's Kresnik… the man who killed Caelis," Ugren said.

Aion didn't expect that he would be recognized that easily. Still, it was only natural, considering that rumors about him were spreading left and right. It was a bit troublesome to be recognized since the enemies wouldn't drop their guard knowing about his accomplishments. Still, the fame was good for boosting his ego.

"The son of the last survivor of that piece of garbage kingdom and who became a whore for another piece of shit," Ugren said. "Despite that, you decided to become a dog to the people that eliminated all of the garbage of the world…"

It didn't matter if Aion was recognized by that guy… he won't stop until he smashed that guy's head down to a pulp…
