Chapter 192 Easy As Pie

"We don't have experience fighting together, and while they don't want to cooperate, they still know what each other can do," Sauros said. "Let's split up and take them on duels. Their pride won't allow them to let them ignore the challenge."

That seemed like a good idea, but Aion didn't know if those two could win. He had to finish his target as soon as possible… just like Sauros had planned. When they moved to the sides, the other generals followed them. The whip general targeted Seris, and the swordsman general targeted Sauros.

Aion didn't have time to worry about them. His right hand still needed some time to recover. He thought of using Devotion to protect them and give them a chance to attack the enemies without worrying about damage, but that would put him in a bad spot… wounded and in a class that wasn't offensive-oriented.

Brun seemed like he wanted to pay Seris for the wound in his face, but he still liked the idea of soloing Aion. So, he grabbed his ax with both hands and readied himself. Aion didn't know everything about the enemy's skill yet, but he could learn as he went, but he had to be fast…

"Well then, Maximus Decimus Meridius, Let 's have some fun," Brun said.

"Sorry, mate," Aion said. "I only like mature women, not men."

Brun smirked even more and dashed toward Aion. After using Force release, Aion moved to the side and dodged the attack. Before the enemy could finish the attack motion, Aion thrust his spear at the face of the target, but he just stopped moving and then used reflection. Aion stopped as well, and then the enemy saw himself in a difficult situation. While Aion kept pointing his spear at the enemy, he moved to his back since, thanks to Seris' attack, he concluded that he couldn't reflect on attacks he wasn't aware of.

Aion only kicked the back of the enemy's knee slightly, but he still was pushed backward, and the enemy used that chance to recover himself from that stance.

"I see…" Aion said.

Before Aion could finish his sentence, the enemy charged at him. Brun couldn't let him uncover any more answers about his power since that was too dangerous. However, Aion has already learned a lot. Brun could use his own power to make the reflected attack even greater. It was hard to say what the limitations were. Still, at least Aion learned that and that the enemy had to be conscious of the possibility of an attack instead of what Aion had assumed previously.

Brun stopped holding back and began to swing his ax violently and in quick succession. However, overhead strikes, thrusts, sideways attacks… Aion dodged all of them just by moving to the side after activating Force release for a single moment.

Aion was in a hurry, but he could fight like that until his arm was healed, and while he looked at the enemies fighting his allies. Seris was having a hard time approaching her target. Whenever she got close enough to swing her swords, the enemy would attack her face with the tip of her whip with fearsome accuracy.

Meanwhile, Sauros was only dodging the endless torrent of strikes that the enemy swordsman was using. He didn't seem that fast, but it appeared that he could easily read the line of attack of the enemy… when Brun realized that Aion wasn't paying much attention to him, the after almost made some veins of his body explode.

Brun used the extra power that his anger gave him and tried to split Aion with an overhead strike. As usual, Aion dodged to the side. The strike on The ground made Aion lose his balance, giving the enemy to swing his weapon to the side and aim at his legs.

Aion didn't move, and Brun felt shivers when he noticed Aion swinging his spear at his head. He was ready to sacrifice his legs as long as he could defeat the enemies. For someone so young, he sure had balls of steal. In the end, Brun stopped because he knew who was going to lose the most in that exchange…

Aion sighed. At that moment, he realized how he could win that easily. The skill of the enemy was indeed powerful, but he was over-reliant on it. After using that for many years on the battlefield, he couldn't use his head to pull off any other tricks. He might be able to use strategies during wars but not during duels.

Aion's sigh only made the enemy even angrier. People in that world might not know the effects of anger on their parameters, but Aion knew it. Before things could escalate even further, Aion decided to end the fight since he had a bad feeling bothering him for a while.

Brun charged again, and his flurry of attacks got even faster than before. Aion treated those like a fan, but now they were getting quite close, even when he was using Force release. Still, to snap the enemy even more, Aion closed his eyes and used his mana on the ground to sense the enemy's next attacks….

They never came… when Brun charged one last time, a huge boulder fell from the sky and then hit his head. Thanks to his rage and high endurance, Aion's magic didn't crush his head, but it knocked him out instantly.

"In the end, you can't reflect an attack that you can't see it coming," Aion said and then pierced the enemy's heart with his spear.

The enemy caused some problems for Aion, but it seemed that Sauros overestimated them… or Aion's combination of magic and physical combat was just troublesome to deal with. All of a sudden, Aion felt a shiver, and then he looked around, only to see a cloaked person grabbing Seris' neck from behind and then stabbing it…
