Chapter 137

Chapter 137

You know Kayda once said she can’t lead someone when dancing, yes? Well, that was an utter lie. She took over the moment we stepped on the dancing floor for the entire night. I could barely stay in tune with her when we were dancing. Even my stamina was busy to bottom out at the end. That’s how hard she was going on that stage with me, a novice. Fucken dragons, you know you can never trust them to tell the truth.

Anyways it’s been three days since Kayda became my girlfriend. She was quite mad when I told her we weren’t lovers just yet as we hadn’t slept together.

She said I was being too stubborn about it, and I am probably too stubborn about it, but I still think my feelings are being manipulated by the soulmate bond we have. I obviously didn’t tell her this, or else I would be killed in a mental sense, not physically, sadly.

Also, seeing as I received my class a week ago and haven’t tested it out to its fullest potential or what I can bring out of it as of now, I asked Kayda for a spar.

She obviously accepted it with no hesitation. I think she wants payback for the denial I gave her. Meh, it’s not like she really hates me.

An and Katie overheard us talking about where the best place would be to do this and told us they had a training ground underneath the mansion. They did tell us we could use it only if they were allowed to watch.

Kayda agreed even before I could ask any questions, like was it big enough, and oh boy is it big. I think we could fit 5 Kayda in her dragon form on top of each other in there.

The total distance of this place is well. I can’t even see a wall.

.....

Anyways so, right now, kayda and I are getting ready to fight each other. An and Katie were going to watch the match on a bench not so far away. I did tell them they needed to go further, but An said they had a barrier up so that they would be fine.

“Man, it’s been a while since we sparred, hasn’t it?” I said, standing on the ground with my usual port bra and cargo pants, ready to fight. Looking up at kayda flying in the air above me, I smiled, seeing she was also in her silver light armour.

“And whose fault is that?” Kayda said, clicking her tongue.

“Aah~, do you feel neglected?” I teased, smirking at Kayda.

“Hmph, of course not. I don’t care if you only concentrate on training even when you are on my back.” KAyda said with crossed arms.

“Man, you could care about your wording there,” I said, rubbing my cheek awkwardly.

“... Are you guys going to bicker the entire time or spar.” An said from the side on a bench, sounding very bored and annoyed.

“Hmm, it depends on your answer,” I said, tilting my head at her.

“Kitsu, she already knows about your bloodline,” Kayda said, sighing at my actions.

“Yeah, I know that but does Katie,” I said, looking at Katie, that was very confused.

“No, but she can keep secrets. Right darling?” An asked, looking at her daughter next to her.

“Uh, I won’t tell anyone about what happens today,” Katie said, nodding determinedly at us.

“If you say so,” I said, dropping my illusion on myself, exposing my three tails.

“Wha!? She has three tails!?” Katie gasped in shock.

“Shus, Katie.”

“Right.”

“So Kayda, we going to warm up?” I asked, looking at her again.

“Whatever,” Kayda said, creating a dozen scorch balls around her

“Hehe, then warm up it is,” I said, smirking, creating two spears in my hand before throwing them at Kayda.

Kayda, on her end, just scoffed, sending her scorch balls to intercept the spears.

Sizzle.

‘Guess my ice isn’t cold enough. Got to concentrate on the mana itself. Come on. You trained this.’ I thought, looking at the two scorch balls that were still heading my way after they destroyed my spears.

“Okay then,” I mumbled, creating a long sword. Just when they were in reach, I sliced them in half, making them fizzle out.

“I see you’re done with the pole exercise I gave you,” Kayda said, nodding.

“Yeah, thanks for my class. Well, not entirely, but it does help.” I explained, shrugging.

“I see. Well, Amari finished it before you without a class.”

“ugh, please don’t remind me how better she is in magic than me,” I said, dissatisfied.

“Haha, don’t sweat the small stuff. You both are geniuses,” Kayda said, waving me off.

“Hmm.” Humming, I looked at kayda. Sighing, I started to create more swords and spears in the air before sending them out toward Kayda.

“oh, you can create them like normal spells now?” Kayda said, throwing her own scorch balls in to stop my weapons.

“I could have done this from the start. It’s just waisted too much mana, still does, though,” I said, annoyed at seeing Kayda just shrugging off my attack again.

“Oh.” Kayda hummed, a bit surprised.

“Tsk.” Clicking my tongue, I started to use my lightning and fire magic with my ice swords.

Bang!

Boom!

Sizzle.

With each encounter with Kaydas scorch balls, my weapons left a light mist in the air. After a few minutes of all-out mid-air exchange, kayda was surrounded by enough smoke to obscure her vision.

Or so I thought.

“Do you really think I won’t know what’s going on around me?” Kayda said from in the mist, sending out scorch balls towards me. Who was right behind her, bringing a sword down on her.

“Pochi, though it will work a bit,” I said, not sounding very surprised that it didn’t work. Jumping off one of my weapons, I dodge her scorch balls.

“oh fuck!” Kayda yelped, seeing three blurry red fur figures pointed toward her.

“Da damn surprise,” I said from her side with a Warhammer aimed at her.

“ugh,” Kayda grunted, being sent flying after the hit.

“hehe, surprised!” I said happily, landing on the ground with my 10 meter long tails above me, looking quite ominous.

“what the fuck is that!?” Kayda yelled, seeing my tails.

“my tails?” I answered, confused, tilting my head.

“no shit, but how can you do that?”

“oh, they are mana tails now, so I can change the length,” I explain happily while swinging and changing the lengths of my tails.

“what else can you do?” Kayda asked, intrigued.

“Huh, why would I tell you?”

“Sigh, now why won’t you tell me,” Kayda said, sighing and closing her eyes in disappointment.

“because that will make this spar useless,” I said, materialising in front of her with a cheeky grin.

BOOM!

[Kayda POV]

Before Kitsu could say anything more, I blasted her with a dozen scorch balls clouding me once again in smoke obscuring my vision.

“Fair point,” I said, looking confused at Kitsu in front of me, turning into ice.

“I told you that won’t work!” Kitsu said to the right of me outside of the some.

“What is this ‘I’? We are the same person, dumbass!” Kitsu again said, but this time to the left.

‘What? Is she running around me? Then why is she talking to herself?’ I thought, getting more confused by the second.

“Both of you shut up. You’re being annoying.” A very annoyed kitsu said in front of me.

‘What there is more of her.’ I thought, not understanding the situation.

“says the one that sends us in to go and die,” Kitsu said, sounding very annoyed.

“tsk, don’t make it sound like you are a different entity.”

“But we need to keep up this banter until cutie can see us,” Kitsu said in a quite a sexy voice making me feel embarrassed.

“Yeah yeah, shut it. The smoke is going away.” The annoyed kitsu said, and just like she mentioned, I could finally see what is going on after all that wait.

“Oh hell no.” Was all that could come out of my mouth at what I saw.
