CH 12.2

Yoo Yeon Seo followed CEO Han outside. His head was pounding and his vision was blurry, causing him to stagger for a moment, but he was able to regain his composure soon enough.

‘I’m getting used to this after doing it a few times.’

Yoo Yeon Seo, who had discarded the tissue in secret, and regained his composure by the time he entered the practice room.

“This is actress Park Hyun Jeong. She’s the younger sister of a senior I know.”

“What do you mean sister? You call it whatever you feel like.”

The middle-aged woman with raised eyebrows elbowed CEO Han. She seemed experienced but not very friendly. Although her face itself did not look very old because of her good skincare routine, her hair was all white.

“Hello, Yoo Yeon Seo-ssi.”

“Happy Farewell, right?”

[TN: His mom’s debut film]

Yoo Yeon Seo felt his mouth move involuntarily. ‘What is this? The automatic action mode has been turned off a while ago.’

<No problem detected. It seems that the lingering effects of automatic action mode reflect the remnant emotions of the original host.>

‘It’s good that there are no problems. But something occurred to me just now – wasn’t the original Yeon Seo a Mama Boy?

One might feel displeased with a remark made without even a proper greeting, but CEO Han and Park Hyun Jeong simply widened their eyes in surprise.

“Yes, that’s right. I starred in the same movie as Lee Hee Seo.”

“Hello, senior. I am Yoo Yeon Seo.”

Yeon Seo politely bowed his upper body in greeting.

“I really enjoyed your work, senior. I was disappointed that you didn’t star in any more films after ‘Happy Farewell.'”

It wasn’t an empty compliment. He could confidently claim to have seen almost all of the visual media from the past era when he was in the aftermath of the devastating earthquake in 2207.

In particular, he had rewatched ‘Happy Farewell’ two to three times because he was so deeply moved by the film.

When he first looked at Yeon Seo’s wiki page, he was surprised to learn that his biological mother was Hee Seo.

‘Was CEO Han’s statement true…?’

Park Hyun Jeong covered her open mouth in disbelief.

[Sister, just once. Can’t you take the role just once? Yeon Seo’s personality changed a lot after the accident. It’s not the same notorious Yeon Seo]

In fact, she was dragged here reluctantly at the persistent request of CEO Han. She had a lot of people who wanted to become her students, and there was no reason to take on the infamous Yeon Seo and ruin her own character.

‘Are the rumours exaggerated? You seem like a different person from what I’ve heard…’

However, even though he smiled gently and called her “senior,” he reminded her of someone else from her memories.

“Looking at Yoo Yeon Seo-ssi now… it is different from the rumours…”

“People say that going through a near-death experience changes one’s outlook on life, right? Please see it that way, senior.”

First impressions are important when you’ll be seeing someone for a long time.

The still shocked people: Wait, who is he? I can’t adapt to this changed personality.

Park Hyun Jeong stared silently at him before nodding.

“Okay. It would be great if that could also be reflected in your acting skills. I’ll help you.”

CEO Han clenched his fists in triumph at the words that seemed like permission to take over Yeon Seo’s acting class in the future. Yes! I did it!

“Lee Tae Gyeom, did you get into an accident while making deliveries?”

“What?!”

“They told me not to send you to the store just now.”

“What?! Why?!”

Lee Tae Gyeom, the twelfth manager of Yoo Yeon Seo, yelled in sudden surprise. Complaints had been pouring in from the houses he delivered to lately, and naturally complaints were directed to the store as well.

“I don’t know either. You didn’t really have an accident, did you?”

“No, sir…”

“Hey, where are you going! Are you going to cause trouble at the store?!”

“You should know the reason!”

“Don’t cause a scene when you go there!”

Ignoring his words, Lee Tae Gyeom got on the delivery motorcycle and headed to the store he had just stopped by.

“Boss!”

“Huh? You’re the delivery driver from earlier…”

“Why did you boycott me?”

The store owner broke out in a sweat at the sudden remark.

“Well… the customer complained that they didn’t like the impression of the delivery driver… We don’t want to do this either, but we can’t help it.”

“What? Why! I’m not that bad!”

“Even if you complain to me, the customer has already filed a complaint… We don’t want to lower our ratings either. Sorry.”

‘Even I can still get at least three boyfriend memes on SNS!’ Lee Tae Gyeom complained, feeling unfairly treated. However, the store owner kept saying he was sorry and disappeared back into the kitchen.

“Ugh… What the heck is this?”

Lately, his luck has been especially bad. He didn’t have academic background or talent, the only thing he was confident about was driving. Should he switch delivery routes?

As Lee Tae Gyeom sat there, lost in thought and close to tearing his hair out, a tall well-dressed man approached him.

“Hello.”

Lim Seung Hyun was a talented hire who had managed to break through the incredibly competitive job market at Jusung Group. During interviews, the company emphasized the importance of making a good impression, and as a result, Seung Hyun had a clean, trustworthy face that resembled that of a news anchor. Moreover, his voice had a sweet, soothing quality that put people at ease.

“Huh? Who are you?”

Although he was surprised by the sudden approach, Lee Tae Gyeom didn’t feel the need to be on guard against Seung Hyun.

“Are you Lee Tae Gyeom? I am…”

Seung Hyun handed him his business card from the Strategic Planning Department of Jusung Group.
