CH 38.1

The children in the class focused on sticking to the paintings with glue sticks. No one made noise and no one cried. The calmness made Teacher Liu, who had been tired for a day, very relieved. Suddenly, the mobile phone in her pocket vibrated; it was her mother who called.

Recently, her father had suffered from old problems and had been in bad condition intermittently. Teacher Liu was worried that her father was in a situation and hesitated whether or not to go out and pick it up.

The phone rang urgently. After talking to the teacher in charge of recreation, she finally stood up. When she passed by Ye Ya, she looked down and saw her holding a watercolor pen and painting “Peppa Pig” on the cardboard. A family of four held hands, with their neat hair dryer heads.

Sure enough, she was still a child.

Teacher Liu left with relief.

When the door closed, Ye Ya switched to a black pen and drew a frame to put the four pigsty inside, with a black flower on the top. What she painted the best was flowers. That black flower could be described as the finishing touch, which makes a family of four full of sad colors.

Ye Ya held up the painting and scratched her face, feeling that something was missing.

She pondered for a long time, and finally remembered what was missing.

——word.

When people on TV die, they would hang two words next to the picture.

But she didn’t have a pen……

Yaya bit the tip of the pen and fell into contemplation, deciding to write it after school.

She put the painted cardboard in the small drawer, tore off a piece of paper from the small picture book, smoothed it and slowly folded it in half.

Sisi, who had just finished painting next to her, looked over curiously, “Yaya, what are you doing?”

“Make a coffin.” Ye Ya didn’t stop her movements and said softly.

“Coffin?” The child was full of questions.

Ye Ya secretly glanced at the recreation teacher who was secretly observing behind her, and leaned closer and muttered to Sisi, “I still have Peppa’s body in my pocket. Wait for me to make a small coffin and let Peppa settle down.”

Sisi asked in confusion, “What body?”

The child next to her said inarticulately, “What is saddle down?”

Looking at the four ignorant eyes in front of her, Ye Ya sighed and shook her head, and continued to stack the paper box with paper. She said in a childish voice, “You are still young, you will understand when you grow up.”

She spoke as unpredictable and profound as an adult. Sisi wowed for a long time, clapped her hands, and said admiringly, “Yaya is the same as Mother~”

“I know.” The little boy at the side table leaned over, “This is called a funeral, and we are going to give flowa to Peppa.”

Flowa meant flower, and the children all understood it.

The little boy found a crumpled red origami flower from the drawer of his desk and said, “I want to give a flowa to Peppa.” This origami flower was made in a handmade class yesterday afternoon. Every child folded several flowers. Except for the one shown to the teacher, he left the extra ones in his school bag.

Seeing him take out the flowers, the children suddenly realized and asked the recreation teacher for origami one after another, preparing to fold more for the poor dead Peppa family.

It’s good to do origami. The teacher had no reason to refuse. So when Teacher Liu came back, she was surprised to see the children doing the origami she taught yesterday on the table.

Ye Ya had already folded the coffin. While the teacher was not paying attention, she put the cold ribs in her school bag into the box, and found another piece of paper to stick to the box with a glue stick as a coffin board. After everything was done, Ye Ya carefully put the coffin in the schoolbag, quietly waiting for the free time in the afternoon.

One day passed in a flash. After dinner, Ye Ya came to the tree pit in the corner of the school with a small coffin and a toy bucket for the family. She took a serious look and nodded in satisfaction. Everyone must be very happy that the Peppa family is resting here.

Ye Ya picked up a small shovel and started digging.

The tree pit had just been watered by the director of the garden, and it was soft and easy to dig.

“Yaya, what are you doing?” Suddenly Shen Ran and Xia Qing came over.

“We are going to have a funeral for Peppa.” Many children in the kindergarten surrounded them, and Sisi said sadly, “Poor Peppa…”

Ye Ya put down the little pink shovel and took out the crumpled “coffin” from her pocket. The coffin made of paper was not very strong, and the paper soaked in oil seemed to shatter at the touch. When Ye Ya was about to bury the coffin, Xia Qing suddenly spoke.

“Peppa is a western pig.”

Ye Ya looked over blankly.

“Peppa is a British pig, this coffin won’t work.” Xia Qing patted Ye Ya on the head, “Yaya wait for me here.” She turned around and ran to the classroom. When she came out again, she had an extra watercolor pen in her hand. Xia Qing used a black watercolor pen to draw a cross on the lid.

“All done.”

Ye Ya put the coffin in, buried it, patted the land with a small shovel, and finally took out the hard cardboard from her pocket.

“Sister Xia Qing, can you give me a pencil?” Ye Ya asked, pinching the cardboard.

“Yaya, wait for me!” Xia Qing hurriedly ran to the classroom again.

It was really strange for a group of children to surround the tree pit, making it hard for the teacher to not pay attention.

Seeing Xia Qing hurriedly running in and running out, Teacher Li grabbed her and asked amiably, “Qingqing, what are you doing?”

Xia Qing did not change expression and said with a smile, “We are observing little leaf.”

“Little leaf?”

“Yes, the little leaf that fell from the tree.” She broke away from Teacher Li’s hand, “Teacher, we’re going to go draw the little leaf.””

“?” Teacher Li scratched her head, puzzled; thinking of the playful nature of the children, she didn’t pay much attention to it.

“Here.” Xia Qing panted and handed the pencil over.

Ye Ya recalled the plot of the TV set, clenched her pen, and wrote a sentence on the left and right of the picture frame.

[RIP Pepa’s fameli. Hope you be a fameli next life too.]

After writing, Ye Ya inserted the hard cardboard into the soil.

The children next to her lined up to start offering paper flowers, and they didn’t forget to say the sacrifice prepared in advance.
