Believe (1)

Even after chasing for a long time, the petty streamer still could not intercept them, so he led his teammates to advance toward the opponent’s base.

The five of them reached the base. As though finally finding a way to vent, they mercilessly blocked the three opponents at the base’s entrance.

“Even if they both stole the base, they wouldn’t surpass our speed. Let them continue being chickens! Their nest is in our grasp!”

That streamer’s proud and loud voice permeated through Duan Wenzheng’s headset, indistinct. But Xue Lan could hear each word clearly. He couldn’t help but quicken his speed with Duan Wenzheng, rushing back to their base.

When the two got to the attack range of the base, the three teammates had been mercilessly suppressed at the rear of the bunker in front of the base.

“Isn’t cheating so useless?” That streamer turned on the region mic, connecting to the live stream. He sneered boisterously, “Everyone knows, to play Last Day well, you must rely on marksmanship and your brain, what’s the use of cheating like this and winning by chance against Yan God?”

Finally regaining his face in the live stream, he continued to jeer. “Become a professional player? If they can play professionally like this, I’ll eat my keyboard at once! But brothers, you can look forward to this little streamer’s hip sway dance!”

“But how about we set a time limit? What if the girl insists on working hard and becomes a professional player at the age of eighty?”

He roared with laughter.

Duan Wenzheng quietly raised his rifle, it was unclear how much he heard those words in the headset.

Xue Lan’s expression was stiff as he opened the map and began to type—

But while he was typing, Duan Wenzheng had once again zapped that petty streamer’s helmet.

His jeers still rang, but his HP had reduced until only a little bit was left.

The aggressive arrogance of just now instantly dissipated. He withdrew behind a bunker at one side.

His teammates also became alert. They didn’t have a favorable impression of this streamer who had died countless times from the start but still gave preposterous commands. Hearing his words, however, they also felt the other party was definitely using cheats.

Xue Lan deleted the words he had typed out because of the situation redeemed by Duan Wenzheng. When the few teammates saw them finally come back with a good grind of coins, they hurriedly broke out of the encirclement while detouring toward Xue Lan’s healing range.

“You guys advance from the left—remember to leave some health, don’t kill.”

The three teammates did not understand his intentions, but Duan Wenzheng’s casual tone brought along an intolerance of refusal. At this moment, their situation had mostly improved. There was no time to delay, so the three people acted according to Duan Wenzheng’s words and went from the left side.

Xue Lan followed Duan Wenzheng and racked the rifle at a high place. He watched the enemy’s movements as he managed to find the time to type.

BabyCandy: We don’t want their heads because they are at our base, if they die now, their revival time will be up by the time we reach their base later.

Only then did the teammates understand the meaning behind Duan Wenzheng’s words. They sent a few words of understanding and began rushing toward the enemy.

With the three forcefully breaking through, the five people quietly hiding behind the bunker just needed to crane their necks, and shooting the crown of their heads would already inflict more than half of their HP.

The petty streamer still thought of forcefully breaking out of the encirclement, but his teammates no longer bought his ideas; they released the smoke bomb and used the chance to retreat to their base.

When the party on Xue Lan’s side saw they had the intention to retreat, they let them be and followed behind them, until they were forced back to the base.

The battle situation after the two joined turned upside down. Each of the scattered five opponents looked for a rock to hide behind, but the more it was like this, the more their leeway was blocked by those pursuing behind them and the bullets that came shooting toward them.

After the petty streamer found a rock to hide with, he looked at the base behind him as well as his teammates who were surrounded by the enemy not far away. He said with indignance:

“Don’t go over there!!”

“What are you guys running for? Medic, come to me!”

But who was willing to listen to his commands at this moment? His teammates had already raised their guns against the pursuers.

Cursing, that streamer stuck his head out of the bunker, planning to assist them. But just as his head peered out, he was immediately shot with only a little HP remaining. He instantly shrunk back into the bunker again.

“Where is the medic?”

“What are you guys fighting for? Why are you shooting them when I’m not out!!”

The sound of the streamer’s fury came through the headset in lags, but this time, his teammates no longer bought his ideas. Someone even directly turned on the mic and said:

“We’re all surrounded, what are you just watching there for? Why don’t you shut up? You play badly and still want to give terrible instructions?”

These people actually gave up withstanding in the twinkling of an eye, directly turning on the group channel mic to vent out their frustration.

This time, Xue Lan followed the few people and healed those four. Pushing on in the flush of victory, he went in the direction of that streamer’s hiding place.

Duan Wenzheng, as if thinking the voices in his head were rather noisy, turned off the live stream sound and typed to his teammates.

Reset: Leave this person to me.

When the teammates heard that, they put away their rifles, turned, and rushed toward the enemy base.

A trace of a smile loomed on Xue Lan’s lips. It was an exceptional game, Duan Wenzheng literally turned it into a game of player versus computer. But saying this was not because of how much they had rolled them over through technology, but slowly crumbling the enemy from crushing their trust in each other.

The streamer who was hiding behind the bunker was probably cursing out his teammates while facing the sneers in the live stream while only able to use the healing injection on his person to recover his HP.

Xue Lan obviously did not want it to be like this.

But for some reason, he actually felt this was…rather satisfying.
