Chapter 40 The Dilemma

After hearing the insides and outside of the matter from her son's mouth, Su Yuer sneered.

"Son, you don't need to be scared. Although we are a business family, we too have deep connections and various secretly raised forces."

"I will order all of them to move in action. With our power, we are gonna monitor every port and the moment our forces see any hostile people, they will immediately take action."

Hearing her, Su Chen smiled.

That's why he was waiting to hear~

"Okay, I have something to do! You don't have to worry about this matter, leave everything to your mom!"

-After saying goodbye, Su Yuer cut off the phone.

Su Chen was lost in his thoughts.

'Aah, as expected of a villain, life isn't that easy.'

'Atleast at the end of day you can rely on your parents.'

-Su Chen spoke with some emotion.

From the backseat's side-window, he saw that his car had already reached his house.

Mei Qing was standing haggard…

Along with her, many people were standing. All of them seemed to be in their middle-age.

'Must be her uncles and aunts along with her parents?'

-Su Chen figured out everything instantly.



Regarding Mei Qing, Su Chen's mind was really complicated. He was facing a dilemma.

Is it ok to completely ruin her?

Or take a step back and give some relief….

The reason for this dilemma was Su Chen didn't actually blamed her that much.

Su Chen transmigrated into a body of waste-licking dog. One who always used to go around drinking and did not have any remarkable qualities.

It was only natural for Mei Qing to refuse such a pursuer.

Let's look from the view of reality, if given a chance, which girl in her right mind would agree to marry such a jerk with various shortcomings.

But the point was, she kept taking benefits from him while at the same time even though she refused in her heart, she never dared say these words of refusal on her mouth lest she face the wrath of her own family.

Had she decided to sit down with Su Chen and have a nice talk, maybe she can persuade him to give up this marriage willingly but no! Because of this body's former licking-dog behaviour, she started taking for granted that everything of her would be taken care of by Su Chen.

Even though the current Su Chen had fully taken the role of a villain, he still had some morality left and basic lines yet to cross. He knew the fault was on both sides but slightly more on Mei Qing's side.

Mei Qing who was standing alone with Mom and Dad along with her aunts and uncles was already tired but she still kept her head down, waiting in silence~

Everyone in her family still had a faint hope that Su Chen will forgive her and get back with her.

After all, it's common to have a quarrel among young couples who are deeply in love, right?

Misunderstandings can always be overcomed!

But how could Mei Qing tell them?

How could she tell that the young couple were never in love from the beginning! So how can a relationship be repaired if it didn't exist from the start?

Hearing the car sound, all of them saw a young-dashing man coming out from the back-seat.

'Is this Su Chen?'

'Why does it feel that he has become even more handsome?'

-Mei Qing looked at Su Chen's profile, she wanted to ask why did he suddenly change?





She could perceive that something was different when she saw him but what's the point of it?

Thoughts were flying in her mind but she was very well aware that she no longer had the opportunity to ask him to explain anything~

Just when Mei Qing was about to approach Su Chen, the door of the gate flung-opened and a very eye-catching girl fluttered into Su Chen's arms.

Mei Qing's footsteps froze there as she suddenly felt suffocated~

"Su Chen, I was bored the entire time, why did you take the whole day? Didn't you say you would be back by evening? See the time, it's already 9 o'clock."

Su Chen felt embarrassed,

"There were some things I couldn't help with, so it took me a while!"

"I know I promised that today I would take you to watch a newly released-movie. How about we go to watch it by the end of the week?"

-After speaking, he ruffled through her silky hair.

"Hehe", Chu Chenxi quivered, enjoying the sensation on her head.

"Hmmmmh", Chu Chenxi's sweet nasal voice was enchanting and alluring.

Seeing this interaction, Mei Qing, whose footsteps were frozen, almost lost her strength.

'Is this the girl, Chu Chenxi, for whom that night he did such splendid fireworks?'

Her heart has been very turbulent since the last few days. Because of not interacting with Su Chen for the past few days, her heart was already agitated enough, but she herself did not know the reason.

She should be happy that she got divorced, right?

What's about losing business, with some hard work, she will, at least, be able to recover some losses… enough to live happily alone.
