Chapter 8 08. I'LL DO IT
Nobody had expected the bear to attack that suddenly, and when it did Gerald and Anthony were ready to move, but apparently, they were too slow.
Noah had not expected the bear's head to burst with just one punch, and even after the punch did that, the body of the bear flew backward for a few meters before landing heavily on the ground.
Noah ignored the messages that were popping up, and looked around, to see everybody staring at him with astonishment, he was surprised, he still had not gotten used to his speed, he knew that force equals mass times acceleration, but the power behind that punch "was that not too much ?" Noah thought to himself.
"Noah" Gerald called, the man was already there. Noah turned to face him and for the nth time he saw the surprise on his face and even Anthony was surprised.
" That was incredible, I was about to act but you finished it fast! " Gerald said, " Are you not supposed to be a tier 1" This time it was Anthony asking, Noah simply gave a helpless smile.
Noah then turned to look at the man that he saved, and found out that he had passed out, 'probably from shock', Noah thought, he was already being carried by the others who were still looking at him like he was a monster,
Noah ignored Gerald's barrage of questions to inspect the messages that popped up.

Noah was surprised, he had leveled up five times from the first magical beast they found, this hunt was already giving him more benefits than he had expected.

He had five stats he could add points to, and he had not forgotten how to divide, 35 divided by 5 was 7.

Honestly, he wasn't sure if he was normal anymore, yes for Earth's standard he was far from normal, but also among his fellow tier 1 there were 18 tier 1's fighting one bear and he had one shot-ted it, though it was badly injured and was on the brink of death, still that didn't change the fact that his punch ended the damn Beast.
"Noah are you listening ?" was what brought him out of his thoughts,
" Uh," Noah said startled.
Gerald looked at him for a few seconds before mumbling something to himself,
He then cleared his throat before saying "we are going to rest for an hour, before resuming our hunt, I have discussed with Anthony, and we think you should fight with the others when we find a magical beast since you seem stronger than the rest of them, and don't worry when we get back to the town I will pay you for your service" Gerald explained.
Noah wanted to say "honestly letting me kill the beast is already enough", but common sense beat the living cr*p out of that thought.
He was going to need money sooner or later, there was no way he could stay with the hunting group forever, he was getting stronger by the day, he wanted to explore, and he would need money for that.
So he answered with the best smile he could fake "I'll do it".

A week later...
During the past week, Noah had fought so many beasts that ranged from Badgers, serpents, to apes to mention the least, he had mostly shot-ted them but some were tricky to kill, like the snake, when they had encountered one he was so shocked to see a snake as thick as a small tree and measured around thirty feet long, honestly, they were trauma-inducing coupled with their slippery skin that was not normal, it made killing it a pain in the a*s, or when they encountered apes that could release sound waves to disrupt their attacks, his eardrums bled so many times in one fight, but his healing skill repaired it as fast as it was damaged.
The more he leveled up the lesser the exp he gained from the weaker magical beast, though he managed to level up ten times which was on the fifth day and so far he had not leveled up.
Though the beasts were usually between levels 5 to 20. Throughout the week they had not met a single tier 2, he asked Gerald about the matter, and he said that there was definitely a tier 2 but it was probably the 'Lord of the forest' or something like that, he also said that magical beast was not that strong in this part of the country, he learned that like normal animals magical beasts had leaders which were usually the strongest among the others. so it would not come out unless it was threatened.
Noah had also gained the trust of the others, he had saved them many times and had made their hunting easier so that naturally turned into trust.
Noah also noticed that the number of people that used the magical circles Gerald talked about was less than those that simply infused Mana into their weapons.
He had asked Gerald about that, and he explained to him that spells,
were very expensive for the average man and that was the reason people joined the royal army or noble families.
The more Noah learned about this world's situation the more it resembled his former world, the rich get the most benefits out of life while the poor grovel at their feet.
Though he tried not to get worried about spells since he wasn't particularly rich, heck currently he had no money.
Noah also gained a title after killing his 50th monster or around that number.

He had never thought he would get something like this, coupled with his unusually high stat, those magical beasts couldn't help but die after his first attack.
honestly, he was surprised by how many monsters were in one forest if he were alone and somehow got surrounded he would have no choice but to run unless he was a tier 2.
he decided to check his stats since he hadn't been assigned any points since the first day, so he wanted to do that first

During the week he had decided to practice running at his full speed since his unnatural speed was a factor that helped him in fights, and contrary to his fears he never for once hit a tree, when running it felt natural like taking a stroll, actually he enjoyed it, he also found out that when running red-colored energy were always being discharged from his back, actually they resembled "lightning".
Now that they were done with hunting, they were on their way back to the town it was going to take them a day and a half to get there.
Noah was excited, this was going to be the first time in one of the human settlements in this new world. he didn't expect much since from what Gerald had told him, only the royal city, the mansions of the noble families, and the branches of the three great guilds were grandly built, but he was still excited.
He had asked Gerald where they kept the bodies of the monsters they killed since they didn't have anything to carry monsters that big, Gerald had explained to him about the existence of dimensional items that had more space than they appeared to have.
They were made by blacksmiths that had learned to infuse Mana into objects to give them special abilities, he also pointed out that the weapons of the group were like that, though lower tier which made them cheap to buy, though Gerald's dimensional object was a middle tier, that was the reason they could store all the monster corpse, and this was possible because tier 2's were given discounts.
Noah then knew the reason why he wasn't asked questions about how he brought the wolf out of thin air, though he would not need any dimensional items since he had an inventory, he could buy one to avoid questions.
Well, all that would be later, but now they were on their way to "Maria".
