Chapter 408 408. SOMETHING

Noah stood before a certain window overlooking the lush plain that spanned many miles around Riveta's tower.

The sun stood high in the sky bathing everything with its radiance. While a soft breeze carrying a certain relaxing scent swept the flat lands graciously moving the striking green grass that filled the regions.

Noah took in a deep breath seemingly trying to calm his nerves. And he was.

He had not seen Riveta for about twelve days, and he had already recovered from the drawbacks of his elemental charge skill, but the expert had not returned to her tower and he waited more or less guarding it.

Turning and leaving the window, Noah ignored the thuds that followed him closely while he walked down that hallway.

The four dummies she had appointed to him almost two weeks prior had stayed by his side during that period.

He had to be honest that they had been incredibly helpful. They understood his words and acted accordingly, he only couldn't have conversations with them.

After a bit of exploring, Noah realized that he had the whole place to himself and decided to have fun when he recovered completely.

He had sparred with the dummies and since they held tier 4 power he had only commanded them to block, and they did so with ease.

The sheer difference between his prowess and theirs became clear before his eyes at some point. But he enjoyed utilizing all his strength on them and knowing they would never break down.

The usage of what he learned from Elder Sarah became more advanced since he tried his best to manage and create a dent on the said dummy.

If only he knew that the dummies were in the middle stage of tier 4 he would have never hoped for such an outcome.

The whole ordeal eventually became boring, and although Noah knew he had reached a state of rest due to the pending state he couldn't help but feel bored.

Now that he had reached the peak of tier 3 and needed time to reach the fourth tier he wanted to go on an adventure even if the time for the tour was still a while away.

There was nothing else he could do to help himself. He had tried cultivating but nothing happened. The system was powerful.

Powerful enough to make something that should be natural, unable to occur.

Noah spent most of his time exploring the various rooms within the tower. They were too many, however, so he gave up at some point.

He then switched to simply strolling about the plain. Having the four servants gave him a sense of reassurance.

The plain was mostly empty, however, and although flying beasts usually flew past, they were too weak for Noah to consider a threat or a worthy opponent.

He even began to wonder how he would do against elder Sarah.

"When is she going to return," Noah sighed sitting on a chair carried by one of the tier 4 dummies while it flew across the plain; the other three following closely behind him.

His gaze was dull and his slouched posture spoke of how fed up he felt.

At this point, it had been 16 days since Riveta disappeared, and he had begun to consider leaving the tower.

He doubted it would fall under any danger since there were already many defenses placed within it.

An army of tier 4's would struggle to bring it down.

Unfortunately, his conscience wouldn't let him do such. He owed her for even allowing him stay within her tower.

Honestly, he felt shocked by how easily she trusted him with her things. Or maybe it was because he didn't have the type of power to threaten it.

He dismissed that idea, however. She had seen him in his empowered state and the type of power he was capable of wielding.

"I thought she said she had people chasing her," Noah pouted.

The dummy flew relatively slowly across the surrounding areas of the tower.

Noah raised his hand at some point, and it immediately stopped.

Straightening his position on the black chair, Noah stepped forward, and a dense platform of wind formed to stop him from falling.

Noah unfolded his consciousness and let himself fall.

His flight toward the ground served to relax his impatient mind. However, before his figure could reach the ground a certain familiar consciousness caught hold of him and allowed his figure to land softly on the ground.

A wide smile had long since appeared on Noah's face and his mouth opened a moment later.

"I thought you would never return. I already had plans to inherit your tower," he joked, while a giggle unfolded in the area, and a certain figure landed softly beside him.

"You couldn't even if you wanted to," Riveta's voice rang out with a small chuckle.

"I had honestly thought you'd have left. It's good you didn't since I'd been very disappointed if you did," she nodded with a wide smile on her face also.

"You even made yourself comfortable." She eyed the dummies while a light chuckle left her mouth.

Noah clicked his tongue before suddenly falling serious.

"How did you spend years alone there?" He asked glancing at the tower's peak in the distance.

"I don't know," she shrugged beginning to float and pulling Noah with her.

"My travel was very successful. I might have caused a bit of commotion, but I got what I wanted in the end." She explained as they flew towards the tower quite slowly.

"That's great I guess," Noah replied never removing his gaze from her figure.

Riveta had a nice outfit that featured darker-than-black trousers that emphasized her soft curves, and a yellow loose long-sleeved shirt that featured a black belt right below her bust.

Her blonde hair had been tied in a ponytail with a band that had a shining blue gem radiating a strange aura.

Her feet featured black heeled boots that had blue soles and they released a sparkly white light as she moved about.

Noah found himself lost in his inspection and thoughts about her moody departure, that he forgot that he had kept his eyes open on her figure.

"Oh my!" Riveta exclaimed with a teasing tone, catching Noah's attention, but his reaction made her turn serious again.

"I have something for you before you leave," she announced but before her only audience could respond she accelerated, turning into a powerful streak that left a white trail.
