Chapter 526 526. TABLES TURNED

'What an interesting turn of events,' Noah spoke to himself inwardly. Whilst silently gazing at the remnant fragment of the former ice spear.

Her spark had been able to destroy a significant chunk. That was a great increase in might. Exponential even. But Noah already knew it had a time limit. After all, why would she shoot toward him immediately after?

Her movements were rapid. And just like how lightning struck, she appeared before him almost instantly.

Being someone inclined towards testing, Noah allowed her kick to land on his face.

The crowd roared with intensity when his figure shot toward the ground to open a significant crater. Suddenly excitement filled the air and hope for the female expert sprung into existence.

Lady Andrea was a cultivator many knew. Just like the infamous Elder Sarah, she held spectacular power and might.

She was known for her calmness and even great battle efficiency. This garnered respect amongst the many other tier 4's who followed her lead with trust.

With her might alone she stood at the level of those far stronger than normal. The level termed; monsters. But it was general knowledge that amongst even monsters, better monsters existed. Andrea would be classified as one of such individuals.

Many thought her to be on par with Elder Sarah after many years. But only she and a handful of others knew that wasn't true. At least by normal standards.

Soul state. The name of the technique she had activated.

Being a skill that had been passed down to her by her father for she was compatible with it, she would call it her biggest trump card.

The Soul state allowed her to call upon the entirety of her potential in the soul realm. It utilized every ounce of her soul energy and replaced her mana with it.

During the activation, her mana core would virtually shut down and all mana would cease from her body.

Her soul core would provide her with its entire pool and fill her body with it. This led to an exponential increase in both physical power and elemental power.

The only issue with the technique was the great drain on her mental capabilities. She would require a few months to return to her peak. And depending on how much she exerted herself she could spend many months in a coma. It was the peak of her power after all.

The cheers coming from the city and even the watching tier 4's faded from the ears of the empowered lady. Her features had remained mostly the same. Her almond hair now floated and featured tints of different colors, and her body saw wisps of multicolored energy flowing out of it.

Her eyes blazed with violet lights, and violet lines and symbols ran across her entire body even her hair and eyes.

Her presence felt heavy and truly was.

Noah felt his body come to a stop and he figured he should leave the hole he had created, but his opponent was nimble in her movement.

Her figure reached downwards and arrive on his body In an instant.

Noah felt a hot palm touch his chest and try to burn it. Violet light reached his eyes and the explosion that resulted after the point-blank discharge of sparks contained the power to open chasms in the surface around them.

Noah felt his body move deeper and deeper until he was flung away in s direction he couldn't comprehend yet.

Pain reached his mind for the power the bolt had contained dangerously neared the higher stage. Thankfully that still wasn't enough to give him serious burns.

The crowd went silent for a few moments. Lower-leveled cultivators had only been capable of seeing a blinding violet light. The events occurring behind that light standing at a level far higher than their eyes could follow.

The entire land area available to them fell under chaos and it took Noah a few seconds to get his balance and sprint out of that circumstance.

He reached the sky and saw a streak arrive in front of him again. Andrea's reaction capabilities had been greatly boosted allowing for that almost instant tracking of her opponent.

She felt sad to find that Noah had recovered from whatever injuries he had sustained.

Her fist landed on his face and he was sent back to the destruction he had just left.

The event didn't bother Noah one bit. Who stood within the dark environment caused by the rising of dust to unfold his consciousness. The heat around him soared.

He nodded in approval of her new power but moved to fulfill her wishes. She had asked him to show her real power. He would do just that.

The lands experienced a great shaking and soon the immense cloud of black dust saw the emergence of huge icy stakes all shooting toward one figure high in the sky.

Noah had been able to find her even without leaving his position. Her aura was too evident and her pressure too heavy to miss.

His attacks being backed up by the speed force arrived on her figure in an instant. She remained too slow for that event and took the full brunt of their piercing power.

Noah had made the tips of the spikes small and thin enough to pierce even a human. And that was exactly what happened.

Despite her empowered state, the stakes bypassed her skin, muscles, and bones to impale her from side to side. All five of them.

Three stabbed into her torso and the remaining two stabbed into her legs. Starting to spread ice on her body merely seconds later.

Blood exploded out of Andrea's mouth and nose at that point. Great pain filled her mind and her instincts acted accordingly.

A primal scream of both agony and anger left her mouth and the power in those sound waves shattered the lower chunks of the icy stakes.

She left the broken pieces in her body, however, to stop blood loss even if she remained in significant pain.

The crowds grew somber at that sight. Noah had turned the tables in an instant and his completely-fine figure departed from the cloud of smoke to flicker in front of her.

With tremendous might in his fist; Noah delivered a punch to his opponent's chest and her body shattered the sound barrier to almost hit the ground. He was faster, however.

His figure arrived on the clear ground with a silver light and he delivered another blow to her stomach, sending her high into the sky. So much so that she reached the limits of the room's ceiling, bounced off it, and shot toward the ground again.

Noah let her figure hit the ground, and he raised his hand to reveal masses of crackling spears and icy spears that appeared behind him.

He lowered his arms and watched all of them streak towards her like rain.

Andrea had managed to remain awake and was struggling to get up on her feet.

The doom of death filled her mind as she remained unable to recover quickly. Noah decimated her with little.

The raging sound of those descending attacks reached her ears and she dropped her shoulders in defeat.

'Is this the end?' Her mind struggled to keep up. Her head spun as memories filled her teary eyes. She was going to die. So easily at that.

The attacks landed on the area and a new round of chaos unfolded into the environment an instant later. Noah shook his head, however.

"I almost thought you would let her die." His words pierced the great cloud of mist and sparks to reach his target.

"Of course not," Elder Ezra's voice seeped out of the same spot. After which the results of Noah's attacks instantly vanished. Unable to remain in one piece before the power of a fifth-tier expert.
