Chapter 537 537. LADY MELISSA

The clouds rumbled for many kilometers around Noah. His figure remained in position whilst his eyes fell on Elder Sarah's figure in the distance.

His attacks had burnt off her features. Hair, skin, and clothes. Whatever existed as the first layer of her figure had been burnt black.

The experts who had left the barrier area to witness the fight gazed at the scene with shaking hearts. Their eyes landed on Noah's naked figure, but he didn't seem to care.

Rather than seeing his nakedness, all they saw was a being far above them in terms of prowess.

Noah felt all their gazes and allowed an attire to appear on his hands. He put it on and moved forward towards a stationary elder Sarah. She seemed unconscious even if her power kept her from plunging to the surface below. The ground was unnoticeable from that height due to the clouds.

Two figures beamed in front of her figure, however. The grand elders.

"Sarah, you should stop this. You've hurt yourself enough," Elder Adonis spoke, laying hands on the charred figure. He could already sense her healing, but she would need a bit more time.

Noah kept his distance at that point. His stature remained valiant high in that environment.

Elder Sarah soon regained consciousness, and they all watched a small vial appear in her charred hand, which elder Adonis administered to her.

Her state improved rapidly at that point. Her features were back to normal in under two minutes, and she picked an attire from her ring to clothe her nakedness.

"You've gotten far stronger than I envisioned," her voice seeped forward to bathe the environment in its vibrations.

"I am your student aren't I?" Noah responded watching her figure transform into a blazing purple streak to arrive in front of him. She didn't hold any intentions to fight, however.

"I doubt you want to fight anymore master. I have gotten stronger than you," Noah revealed, but she made no reaction to those words.

"What happened? You disappeared without any trace for decades. And now you made a return barely what you used to be." Her eyebrows flickered and her tone spoke of the hurt she experienced.

Before Noah could respond a figure arrived in the environment. Anna.

Her eyes fell on the duo and he avoided eye contact with Noah to approach Sarah and bury her in a warm embrace.

"It's been a long while, Anna. Dan sent his greetings," a warm smile appeared on Elder Sarah's face.

"If this is all over then lets all return to our various places," Elder Ezra stated, appearing before them.

She waved her and a blue light shone in the distance. The other experts appeared within the barrier separating the blue building from the crackling clouds.

Elder Ezra waved her hand again, and she and the other experts before her vanished in a blue light to appear above the city.

Elder Sarah, Noah, and Anna went to the central region, towards the mansion. York had been outside to give them a welcome.

"So are you going to keep what happened a secret from me?" Elder Sarah spoke whilst they sat before a round glass table, Anna was also in their presence.

Noah remained silent for a short moment before parting his lips to speak. "I can tell you a bit of what happened the rest will soon be revealed."

"You've also gained the ability to speak in riddles. I see," She shook her head pouring herself wine and sipping it.

"We were attacked by the three tier five entities and I watched the group die before me. I had managed to escape with my teleportation, however." Noah started and an eyebrow arced on both elders' faces.

Elder Sarah felt stunned since his ability had been able to escape a tier 5 being. While Anna's mind shook at the reality that he even possessed a teleportation ability.

"Yes yes. It's beyond even a fifth tier's power," he stated nodding his head.

"Go on then. That might take me a bit to properly assimilate," Sarah waved her hands listening intently.

"After that, I went to a secret place to train. I experienced my breakthrough there, achieving the fourth tier. After that, I returned to the outside world only about a month ago."

"My power increased during that period. I fought a few elves, gained information about the nation's situation, and here I am," he spread his arms.

"That's awfully short," Elder Sarah complained even if she didn't say any more.

"The rest will be revealed in time. For now, I desire to help the nation in this war, but I have been deployed to a location outside of the public eye," Noah explained, poring himself wine and sipping from the black cup. Anna simply sat in silence.

"A location outside of the public eyes?" The elder tilted her head to the side.

"Yes. I do not bear the oath making me a loophole in the war, but mostly because of my power. I can eradicate lower leveled experts," Noah explained and their eyes sparkled with realization.

"I thought that would be against the rules," It was Anna's turn to speak. She felt comfortable with talking as long as Elder Sarah was around.

"According to grand elder Ezra, it's not, and I can be useful. But for now, I'll act behind the scene," Noah shrugged at the end of his explanation.

"Hmm. That's a good idea. Your might will draw too much attention. Mine already does," she sipped more wine, seeing reason in that decision.

"If it's master Ezra then I trust her judgment. Better than her daughter," Elder Sarah nodded, her last sentence catching Noah's attention.

"You didn't have to say that Sarah," Anna sighed shaking her head. She held the black cup on her lap.

"What? It's true," Sarah's eyes darted to the side, revealing an uncaring expression.

"No, it's not. You simply have beef with her. Melissa's decision-making is already higher than yours. You just brute your way into large-scale battles nowadays," Anna countered and the Elder gasped.

Before the two could get into any bickering Noah opened his mouth to speak.

"Is it lady Melissa you speak of? She's the one who invited me to the guild," he revealed. Those simple words sent waves of shock into the minds of both experts.

"What!"
