Chapter 559 559. MIRACLE

Deep within a location, most experts privileged enough to enter the mansion of the grand elders had never been to, the two figures of Elder Ezra and Elder Velsvon flashed forth with a blue light, and the air they arrived with quickly spread into the room.

The room held a series of huge floating screens that displayed the live events of what happened within the city. The two elders ignored those screens to immediately begin to float.

"So what is it? I cannot help but feel like we've entered a mess," elder Velsvon revealed with a difficult smile. He kept his gaze on his female partner in elder-ship and recollections of how they met flowed through his mind. He pushed those old memories away to focus on the issue at hand.

"You know how way before the war started, the royals had made the guild council put together a party of individuals that would intercept a certain group possessing an item that would be considered greatly dangerous." She started and watched the man before her nod.

"That same group had ended up being wiped out," Elder Velsvon commented and elder Ezra nodded in agreement.

"Well, the party of experts had never actually gotten their hands on the item. And we all know what potential it possessed," Elder Ezra explained and the air further plunged stale.

"Did they find the other parts?!" Elder Velsvon feared for the worse. The item had been one of three orbs which when put together were capable of unleashing a tier 6 individual who had been sealed.

To the expert's peril, his friend and also equal elder nodded her head in affirmation.

"The royals found out that a certain mountain situated on an island deep into the seas of the nation had been obliterated, they arrived there and found traces of the orb's presence. In the past thirty years, the order had managed to find all three orbs."

"We don't know if they'll unleash such a being into the battlefield, but merely knowing they have such a significant addition to their forces is enough to shake the nation." Elder Ezra explained, floating cross-legged.

Both individuals fell silent at that point, thoughts flowing through their minds.

"What did the royals say about it?" Elder Velsvon asked finding that situation highly problematic.

"They've mentioned nothing in particular as this was only revealed amongst the high-ranking individuals," elder Ezra explained heaving a sigh. Against a tier 6 threat, they would all just die.

"We were asked to keep this secret for a while. There's too much going on. Putting the hearts of those fighters in peril will not avail to much. They need to continue fighting like there is a chance," the elder explained

"Even if it's very slim," Elder Velsvon sighed, nodding his head.

"It seems we'll have to be getting ready for something big. Unless we can reach the sixth tier before that time, we really have no way of participating," elder Velsvon continued stroking his beard. Troubled. He thought mostly to Aiden. He was one of the special beings.

Elder Ezra nodded and the two fell into a series of other discussions for a few hours. She had not told him all that had occurred during the meeting with the royals. That would be for when the other grand elders arrived.

She hoped that would happen in a few days. Tier 5's were capable of traversing distances at obviously immense speeds.

After some point, they reached Aiden as a topic, and both experts shared their views on him. Of course, Elder Velsvon kept the meeting with Lord Thanses secret. Only permitted people could know about that.

In truth, most were oblivious to the existence of the immortals, only specific individuals not part of their servants knowing of their existence.

Both individuals agreed on one thing, however, and that was of course that Aiden had the potential to become something great in that world.

There was still much they didn't know about him, and Elder Ezra was especially shocked when Velsvon told her of the news that he had defeated a quasi-tier 5 being.

She had immediately wanted to call upon him, but her partner stopped her from such, reminding her that he had been the one to bring the cultivators into the city. He would be with his master.

At some point elder Velsvon left for his mansion, to take care of a few things. While elder Ezra prepared for the arrival of the other grand elders.

It was a fact that they were still in peaceful times during the war. She believed that events that would threaten the very city were inevitable and impending.

The hours passed and those hours turned to days, the other grand elders began to arrive one after the other. She was expecting four others to come.

On the fifth day, the fourth person to arrive silently entered the city, and they started an official meeting soon after. Something they had not done in over 12 years.

The discussions were broader than just what the royals had informed them. Stretching as far as calling upon certain individuals within and outside the guild to give account on specific matters crucial to the interest of the guild.

The war burnt money and resources, researches were also in progress, and although the royals assisted the guilds, their support would not be enough against the large and powerful force that was the order. The guilds needed to provide for themselves.

Not many knew, but the order had roots spanning more than 400 years prior. They were already older than all the existing guilds in the nation.

The guild required many materials and plans were in place to develop a group of special individuals capable of surging above the standards of the world to achieve great power far more than their peers.

Needless to say, Noah was mentioned, and his feats immediately intrigued the grand elders who questioned Elder Ezra's decision of keeping him on the sidelines.

She explained her point of view and those experts understood her. She was one of the bests in terms of strategy and making great decisions.

Yet, things were getting desperate. They all watched visual records of the battle against the elven base.

Imagining that the order possessed six more of such large bases was enough to make them worry. The strongest and largest of those bases currently being shrouded in almost total mystery.

Elder Ezra explained Noah's contentment with simply fighting those elves and not receiving anything in return. A good thing considering that offering him a reward for his service would link him to the oath that he did not bear.

Sure, there were still many things they believed he could not do, but considering the fact that he could easily best the likes of Sarah and even apparently defeated a quasi-tier 5, it was almost foolish not to at least try him out.

It remained hard to acknowledge some of his outrageous feats, but they needed a miracle. The guilds and their members were losing enthusiasm. An individual such as he could spark a flame in their heart.

"So it's decided then?" Elder Ezra sighed, sweeping her gaze upon her mates. This was the third day and hopefully the last day of their meeting.

"Yes. We all vote in deploying him into the main battlefield," a black-haired lady announced and the others nodded in approval.
